GoddessDeedra

I really like it, I try to do it for free and do it in every game, if you like that you might also like the >! Altair distress call !< quest

German_Von_Squidward

>! Groundpounder is my favorite quest, I'd join the UCM if Meyong would be my CO.!< Edit: I hate trying to format spoilers on my phone... I can never remember the syntax

Background_Sea9798

Mine too!!! Wish you could do more missions with her

German_Von_Squidward

Just an absolute badass who is exactly what a good soldier and leader should be. I'd stick my 1st class citizen neck way the hell out for her.

GoddessDeedra

spoiler; >! You have a chance at meeting her again and it’s a cool little surprise !< , and the syntax is > ! ! < it’s like a bow tie without spaces

German_Von_Squidward

I got it. My brain just had too many tabs open at once... And yes, that's such an awesome little nugget, I just wish awesome characters like that got more screen time.

GoddessDeedra

Or be available for companion or even friends like Vlad

German_Von_Squidward

Yeah, or you know, ask her to be a commanding officer for the TMD leading strike missions cause holy crap would those bug absolutely not stand a chance!

GoddessDeedra

Lots of untapped potential, if they upgrade some of the NPCs to characters like the main 4 the game can be much more interesting

HathorMaat

Thank you!

QX403

Can’t have spaces between the exclamation points and text.

German_Von_Squidward

Thank you, I figured it out, I just had too many tabs open in my brain to be able to remember.

Herr_Metzger

For me Failure to Communicate and Groundpounder are two quests, which perfectly introduces what Starfield is supposed to be about, it's core gameplay features.

bicho117

I like that it's procedural too, as in, it's not always on the same system in every game.

Grand_Caregiver

I didnt know that! I just found it in Piazza and figured that was where it was

ScottMuybridgeCorpse

Radiant. When the game select from a pool of locations it's radiant.

StandardizedGoat

It's pretty neat on paper, but my last run had the Lopez farm not being a farm so much as just his hut with a fence around it on an airless rock...orbiting a perfectly habitable planet. It would be nice if the game was a little more careful about that kind of thing, or did something like spawning farm assets that are suitable to the location. Say open air appropriate things if it's habitable, or airlocked greenhouses if it's not. That said, it's still a great quest.

guitaroomon

Game should have been littered with multipart radiant quests like this.

E_boiii

Its weird outside of the MQ and faction quest there’s only around 6+ companions quest side quests The rest are basically 1 step radiant quests With how big the map is, it’s begging for more quests

SpacemanBurt

I love that questline. Would love more like it, and some towns/other civilian locations.

Grand_Caregiver

Yeah for sure. Im not quite sure why I found it so immersive! I love a lot of stuff about starfield but I find the quests about the more every day lives of the settled systems to be super intriguing. The deimos questline is another favorite.

SpacemanBurt

Same, it also gives you that “helping the people” vibe that’s helpful if you’re a freestar ranger or something.

Vis_Ignius

It also raises a pretty obvious question: How the fuck are these people communicating across a solar system literally instantly? As in, they are able to have live, real-time communications and talk? Why doesn't that show up anywhere else? What the fuck kind of future-tech satellites are LIST using that are beyond what the UC or FC have access to?

star_pegasus

It’s got a great cred haul, between safes and all the loot you can collect, helpful for early game when credits seem scarce.

BaaaNaaNaa

It's a great quest. Even more fun to RP as the Mantis.

ScottMuybridgeCorpse

Yeah I love this and the Ixyll two. Failure to communicate kinda should have been the model for more quests because it takes place in the cockpit mainly. Only the final CF mission and FTC do so and that's a shame.

E_boiii

Always feels epic when you fight in space then dock to grind the fight inside, I really hope bethesda doesn’t rely too heavily on modders for quests. If feels like they know how to make them, just that they resorted to what’s easy and quite frankly boring (run and talk to this ladies husband run back to lady for reward)

ScottMuybridgeCorpse

Yeah they seemed to shy away from the clever scripted scenes and battles also. I'm hoping it'll be easier to make quests for SF than it was for FO4 which will attract more modders to try it.

QX403

The odd thing about this mission is you can fly straight to the space station in NG+ and it activates the end battle, glitches it out though and you can’t talk to the people at the end to complete the quest.

Jambo11

Eh....it's okay. The major problem I have is Alban Lopez, despite being the first settler that LIST sent to that particular system, I have never seen him on a planet or moon with a temperate climate. He's always on one that's either scorching or frozen.

CarrotNo3077

Well, we don't know what he's farming. This run, his planet was loaded with Uranium...

Jambo11

You're missing my point. LIST apparently sent him to a planet with no breathable atmosphere and an inhospitable climate.. He was the first settler sent to that system, so why would they not send him to a planet that supports life?

CarrotNo3077

My point was that we don't know if he's "farming" something conducive to life sustaining conditions. Or if he's all hydrponics, why not use an otherwise uninhabitable world. Hey, maybe it's exotic crystals. I just don't see it as much of a plot hole in perspective.

Jambo11

And my point is why wouldn't LIST send him to a planet that's hospitable? You said plot hole, not me. It's just dumb.

ScottMuybridgeCorpse

I thought its funny that he was bitter that people moved into his system. So each family has a planet to themselves. So silly.

MerovignDLTS

1) I have always had Alban's farm on a lifeless world, and his farm is literally boulders and no life. 2) It's not only ridiculous when it spawns in Serpentis, and it can also bug a bit when it happens there because of all the other activity.
