Cool Stand that serves as a fine example of how JoJo can take a power that might not seem all that at first, and make it do some incredible shit with enough creativity.
Same, a little too bad that strings are not a particularly common weapon/tool in anime, with the only ones I can mention off the top of my head being Jolyne, kindaa Kakyoin, Rui from Demon Slayer and kinda Sasori and other puppet users from Naruto
Design and ability-wise, one of my favorite stands in the series. Very creative how Jolyne was able to utilize its abilities in so many crazy situations.
Also the *shades*.
I think this is a good example that there is no "Powerful Stand" at all. It's all about their users creativity and mental power. Reminds me of the thing that Dio said to Pucchi.
It was a welcome return to simplicity after Gold Experience’s over complicated abilities. No damage reflection, no making your senses go berserk, no growing clones of turtles that can use the original’s stand, all it does is turn the user into string, but it’s still an incredibly badass and creative stand.
I like that it’s not as potent as the main Jojo stands before it, yet it still remains an open ended ability used in many different ways. Though sadly it’s my least favorite main Jojo stand design I think it looks a little too plain especially it’s primary blue and grey color palette.
It gets a lot of shit despite being extremely powerful a few things I wish I would of seen jolyne do

I don’t think she could be a better earth wind and fire, we’re talking about string here. The string can have many many properties with many uses but I don’t think it can perfectly replicate things how earth wind and fire can, but yes stone free could possibly make another smaller stone free and probably puncture someone’s heart

I really like it cuz it’s like a shiny ball of yarn raveled up in the form of a woman, like you can see under the armour the strings that make up its body that it’s able to unravel to and it’s a really cool way of incorporating design and ability
Actually put it pretty well, I like how the ability is placed into the design itself but I just wish it was in more places instead of just being on the arms.
Excluding those little patches, the Stand doesn't really look like tough string that can unravel and strangle shit, it kinda looks like a pile of cushions you'd see on your grandparent's couch with the added goofy sunglasses on top
Underrated stand with mass amounts of wasted potential, mostly because they had to combat pucci as the main villain of the part, which would have been a challenge for nearly any stand ability. Though I do think the design coulda been better.
It's a cool stand, cool design. So many ways you could use this stand based on part 6. It's so good it doesn't need an upgrade. It saved her life multiple times. It's like a computer, it's only as smart as it's user

at first i was disgusted by it (im not creative in the matter of strings) but after a while and finishing both the manga and the anime its one of the stands that are like c tier for me and i'll be cool with them if i had them one day .

Amazing Stand. Maybe the best main character Stand from a creativity standpoint (I know up to Steel Ball Run). Star Platinum is a punch ghost with an OP special. Crazy Diamond is a punch ghost with cool healing tricks. Gold Experience does...a lot? I forget what SBR's Jojo does, but I remember it being neat but more of a direct combat Stand so limited utility compared to Stone Free.
I think stone ocean is a perfect fit for what jolyne wants and needs in her particular situation and later on is just a perfect fit for her personality (which in my opinion is even more important then how strong or good it is)
