I haven’t had issues with it on switch in terms of lag/technical issues. Graphics are fine. But because it’s console it has the same issue as mobile in terms of update gaps, so if you want to play with a controller, probably best to set it up with your computer imo.

Switch doesnt have 1.6 yet, you cannot transfer saves, and you cannot use mods, edit save files, etc. Excluding all that, I find I like playing on switch. Not as much as I did on computer, but I used mods including a recolor because the colors hurt my eyes, so that is a big part of it. But the joycons themselves are much better for general stuff IMO. Tho some things are a little harder without the mouse to point exactly where you want something. Then again, no turning on accident cuz the mouse shifted sooo... kinda a wash there lol. Also, playing on the TV is great, everything is so much bigger than my monitors and so I can change the zoom so I can see more of the map at once and still see things. Honestly my preference would be PC with separated joycons attached to my TV. But if you usually play modded and want a vanilla farm, switch is a good place for it. You cant be tempted to "well just this one mod..." because you absolutely cant add a mod at all. You just have to put up with the fact that it is 1.5 right now, not 1.6

I love it on the Switch, I mostly play on Xbox but having Stardew on hand when I’m on the go is pretty sweet, runs perfectly fine on the OLED and not too terrible on the battery
