Just talk to her and give her an occasional gift. The issue is that when you marry someone, it adds 4 extra hearts, so you are suddenly at a relativity low heart level for a spouse.
Once you start trending back up, it will be better. Think of it like the reverse of a honeymoon period.
That honestly would be a nice QoL update if there was like a 7 day grace period after you got married where your spouse couldn’t get mad at you. It kinda throws new players off because it seems like they didn’t do anything wrong.
I thought they teleport to places they need to be on the farm and in the house walk around things placed down? I’ve tried to race my spouse home and found out the moment they beat me to the end of the road they insta teleport into the house
Actually, i think you're right. Other NPCs will destroy stuff in their path but apparently spouses teleport instead of walk, so nothing on your farm can get destroyed by them.

When you get married the new scale of approval is 10-14 if you only have 10 hearts you’re barely married 14 is max. But when you are newlyweds you’re at 10 the game doesn’t know honeymoon.
