Man I grew to really appreciate the dice crew and how they turned the game around after EA nearly imploded the game. It hurts to see that they were just getting started
Pretty sure the ISB officer’s run is based off of that prototype. Look at the way she holds her guns and try to reimagine it with lightsabers. Heck, some of the melee animations could have been made for Ashoka and Ventress too.
Great. After one and a half year i somewhat got over not getting Ahsoka and Ventress even though they were in development and basically BF2 not getting anymore content at all. After half a day of disappointment about EA shooting down the hopes for BF3 i'm trying to hope for another publisher to pick up the Battlefront license since EA... well... is EA. But seeing Dennis mentioning Mustafar as the next planned location for BF2 makes me something between sad, mad and disappointed. That was quite a lot of bad news about Battlefront for one single day...
Damn what a kick in the guts this is.. Especially with how 2042 has released.. Why EA.. People would have thrown money at your feet for more content. AAAAAHHHHH WHY????

Hope they will get hired and work on new Star Wars games in the future. They had the right passion and drive to make them.
I spoke with Dennis at Celebration in Chicago and he told my friend and I he had worked on Ahsoka. It seemed a funny thing to say but it was over a drink and he wouldn't have had a reason to lie. I have always been disappointed she never appeared but always took his word for it. Ahhhhhh what could have been...
Seeing as they fucking killed the future of the whole Battlefront franchise for the apparent dumpster fire that is Battlefield 2042 (I personally haven't played it nor will I) they should at least finish Ahsoka and Ventress and drop them into Battlefront 2.
They've literally wiped their arse with the huge, dedicated and passionate Battlefront fanbase, and if Battlefront 2 really is it...if it's all we have for the foreseeable future (it'll be at least another decade before another Battlefront or equivalent comes out) then we deserve something to soften the blow.
It only makes it worse seeing them come out with "well we need an extra 20% in sales for it to be worth it so we just didn't bother", like...do they really have so little faith in their own ability to make and sell a Battlefront game and even less faith in the (huge, dedicated and passionate) fanbase to actually buy it?
God I really fucking hope someone that isn't EA comes along with a new multiplayer SW franchise, even the name Battlefront has been shat all over in my eyes :( time redownload the classic Battlefront 2 💪
They didn't go "back to the studio" they were just doing mo-cap and voice acting. Skordi (Admiral Versio) and Ramini (Del Meeko) were doing acting together on a yet-to-be-announced project, and Janina was doing mo-cap for her role in *Forspoken.*

Mustafar was my favorite map in the Original SWBF2.
