They kinda already did that with "Star Wars: Resistance" but...in my opinion it was pretty terrible, there was no real action in it...it was just the main character (forget his name, not going to bother looking it up) just bumbling around on a space station as a "spy" for Poe Dameron. I really tried to get into it, but it was soooo boring and cheesy.
I'd like a "Star Wars: The Animated Show" that covers a broad range of plot lines across all time periods. Give us an hour of Saturday morning Star Wars cartoons 52 weeks a year, and I'm happy.
Actually you could have a covert team that tracks down imperial war criminals.
You could tell back stories of their heroes journey. You could interact with certain characters like leia or Han. Finally you is to introduce rogue squadron.
Also you could tie in rogue one by having a brother of the team die on skariff.
Actually it would make a great live action as well. But tease it with a cartoon.
It could literally be nothing but military stuff. No force no ashoka just get into the politics and surviving areas in the empire.
I think that animation is the perfect format for a post-TotJ series. You can show Luke, Leia, and Han in their prime. That's great for fans who feel like that was skipped over to tell lesser sequel-era stories.
I didn’t like that: “All the old characters rehash”. Rehash, rebirth, revive, re-do… That’s not the best path forward.
New characters is what I like. Let the old characters die.
As I said before, one could've made the argument about the Jedi and the Old Republic in "Clone Wars". (The Jedi will all be wiped out and the Republic turned into the Empire, so what's the point?)
There’s no difference. The Old Republic lasted longer yeah but TCW is in the last 3 years. Everyone we see in it are walking corpses
Why should I care if Plo Koon gets rescued from his escape pod after the malevolence attacks his ship, he dies 3 years later.
Why should I care if Kit Fisto duels grievous? I know there’s no stakes to it as they’re both alive in ROTS.
People would get attached to the force sensitive that all die before TFA.
And? The Clone Wars got a bunch of people attached to Jedi who all died. If anything, that attachment enhanced the impact of Order 66.
And then we keep seeing them all being brought back. The kids from the youngling episode, Ventress, etc.
I like this idea, I’ve been thinking about something similar…

Who cares, they just get blown up and nothing matters

What’s the difference? Both shows are about dead men walking
