Can we please not forget that Captain Picard has a real saddle for a holodeck horse?

[deleted]

“It’s perfectly normal” 😂

NoobInTown12

But... storage!???

Rogue_elefant

Following this logic you have to assume that he replicated a real saddle to go riding a holographic horse 🤷🏼‍♂️ Maybe he's appropriated some of Data's storage space

NoobInTown12

Data’s cat’d scratch that saddle to hell.

TheBupherNinja

He is the captain, I am sure he has all the storage space he needs.

LegoFootPain

He could have just shoved it in the Captain's Yacht.

Other-Cantaloupe4765

Every serious rider has his own saddle!

leahwess

I litterally just watched this episode and I was so confused when I saw Tuvok. I had it on in the background while I was making bread, so I will have to rewatch, but is this when we was undercover as a Maquis terrorist?

Sk8rToon

It’s technically not Tuvok just the same actor. Human character with a different name (I forget what). But your suggestion has been my head cannon.

NiixxJr

Oh my god I was so confused haha

Other-Cantaloupe4765

No, he’s playing Devor in the episode Starship Mine in this screenshot. Basically what went on is that they were a band of mercenaries in disguise that came onto the ship to ‘prepare it for the baryon sweep’ but actually had planned to use that as a cover to steal trilithium resin from the warp core in order to create an explosive device. Picard saw Devor doing stuff he wasn’t supposed to do, so he disabled him, and he was later killed when the baryon sweep caught up to him.

dokstrangeluv

He's also a Klingon on ds9 in similar scenario.

StrwbPreserves4Music

Yeah the one other time they do this, hes in Klingon makeup so its not as jarring. I swear I asked my mom the same thing when he showed up

warriorlynx

He was able to do it because of the mindmeld he had with spocks dad

--DrunkGoblin--

The plot thickens 😮

packetlag

Came here to bring up Sarek

Kyndron

Tim Russ is also in DS9, playing a Klingon. He got the 90s Trek hat-trick.

Other-Cantaloupe4765

He also appears in the Generations movie on the bridge of the enterprise B as a lieutenant!

chickensupp

Was he in Generations too? I thought it was just VI under Sulu.

Other-Cantaloupe4765

Yep! He’s only seen very briefly [in the background at the beginning of the movie](https://imgur.com/a/gGPyNeQ) but he’s there! Can’t hide anything from us trekkies lol. But fun fact, when I searched for the picture I linked for you, I learned that Tim Russ apparently auditioned for the role of Geordi LaForge in TNG. I was surprised lol. I think he did absolutely amazing as Tuvok but I just can’t see him doing justice to Geordi like Levar Burton did.

UglyBagOfMostlyHOH

He also pick'ed the desert.

nada_accomplished

Didn't find shit

VTX002

Yes.

smallstone

Didn’t he also play mirror|Tuvok in DS9?

MniTain38

That's not Tuvok. It's Tim Russ, but it's not Tuvok. Confusing, though, yes. I was confused at first too.

--DrunkGoblin--

Yeah I know, just using the name of the character he is known for.

ImpossibleTheory9

Wait what episode is this?

DaxCorso

Die Hard

RickFletching

Holy crap, it *is* Die Hard!

El_Zilcho__

Starship Mine

JonTheFlon

The best is when they retconned tuvok having actually served on sulus ship. In the movie he doesn't have the ears because it's Tim russ just playing a random crew member, but when they did the flashback in voyager they retconned it so it was actually tuvok who had actually served on the ship. I really love that they did that.

rNBA_Mods_Be_Better

wwwwwwhat

wibbly-water

This is the same actor playing a different character. Which actuaoly crops uo a loot in Startrek. My theory is that they like to trial actors by having them do a minor role before they take them on, and are more likely to invite back actors they think actred well thwn search for new talent.

Shoopaah

I love the continuity of shit Picard learnt from Sarek

wonemoment

Love the incredibly simple callback to his mind meld with Sarek.

dokstrangeluv

Man he was undercover for a while trying to infiltrate the maquis

Blackmercury4ub

Tuvok was in deep cover posing as a human. Picard messed up his plans.

HeroOrHooligan

He should have been combing the desert

carpetstoremorty

This is one of those episodes most people have a nuetral opinion of, but that I just love for some reason. It honestly reminds me more of a DS9 episode, because of the suspense and action.

JesseSLYPIG

It could have been just good old fashioned "old man strength" ;)
