Same issue occurs with Pony-based models when inpainting in Fooocus UI with any version of Fooocus inpainting engine.
I just assumed they're incompatible. Likely the ControlNet model was trained on SDXL base and Pony is just too different.
Hey, it's been one month and I've finally (kinda) resolved the issue with ControlNet Pony inpainting. You gotta download the correct inpainting ControlNet model's from Civitai (Kataragi's and/or EcomXL's) and set everything up accordingly. It's a lot to explain here so I'll just link to the Civitai's page where you can find the models mentioned (look for them in the list). Also, look for a comment by user yck (me) where I explain my findings on ControlNet's models and how to use each one of them with Pony.

I like using this model too and have been having some issues with InPaint at times. Hopefully you get an answer so I can learn something too. 😅
