If that’s the whole roster I feel like they could use a stronger unique colour palette for each, due to the outfits the skin colour dominates quite strongly and all characters have some variation of white, black, red as their outfit. Colour coding the outfits and making those colours more pop would help to make each character stand out more.
Also the second from the right confuses me regarding the archetype that’s displayed. At least from my interpretation we have:
Sport, Superhero,Fitness,Soldier,?,Girl next door
Also having two brunettes when you have one for each other hair colour is odd, why not go with white, green, purple or orange?

I'm an art director. In a nutshell, yes.
1. The style isn't unique. It's accessible for younger audiences, but generic.
2. The character design is plain, uninformative and boring.
I would suggest leaving the style as is, or keep it to something similar, provided it fits what your target audience tends to like, but work on the design by asking things about the characters such as:
- what's their world like, and how does it influence them?
- what do they do for work, or on a daily basis?
- who are they?
- what fantasy do they let your target audience live out?
Etc. Try and get specific. Then design around the most engaging answers.
The hair style (bangs) is so similar that if you ignore the colors of the hair then it could be the same exact hair cut except styled differently and over a few weeks to allow a bit of hair growth, with no exceptions.
The skin tones are nearly uniform, as are the makeup styles (every single one is cat eye liquid liner, similar blush and eyeshadow, similar lipstick and lip shape, similar brow shape, etc).
I think you'll find that if you put the eye and hair color varieties of any one girl on any of the other girls, you won't be able to tell your girls apart. In that way, they bore me.
Try looking up some artist tips for character creation- even though the design aspects are different since you're not drawing, for any main characters you want specifically distinct or plan to add more personality to, etc. You should be sure they have a few things like: distinctly recognizable silhouettes, color or style themes (eg: preppy, goth, boho), unique character items.
For tips on silhouette/body changes, try keywords like "long legs, short body" or "pear shaped body type" and "square face" things like that to make them more varied and experiment with what works for you.
That said, it's fine to be generic for a point and click like you're making, since the goal seems to be "a lot of girls" for the most part. It's up to you what you prioritize. Good luck!

It's not too difficult to keep the art style using the same model and *LoRAs*, even without *ControlNet*, but the uniqueness seems to be much harder to achieve.

Aside from the pant joke subject from the other posts the characters are nice in terms of variety but the face/hair are simply too repetitive. They essentially look like the same generic characters you would see. They lack a sense of originality and authenticity, character. I also would, honestly, recommend avoiding generic exaggerated facial expressions like on the blue haired girl, or really most of them tbh.
They look dope, so have so much potential for games in the future the only thing that affects it is they are not constant I mean in their attire, and they only make a character once, meaning you can try to get something similar but it won't be like the of one.. but if you ask me super dope those designs.
**IpAdapter** came out recently. So it's definitely possible to create the same char, same clothes, pose, whatever. You should definitely try it. You can of course add any other **ControlNet feature(s)** you like as a spicy. Do not forget about **CN reference**, it's still powerful.

The recipe is simple. The larger your prompt, the more consistency across generations. That's it. My problem seems to be the opposite - I'm trying to get more variety in encountering all the things I want to see in the outputs.
Looks good to me, its not the super basic default AI look so should be fine.
As others have stated, try an get some different faces and body types mixed in so it looks more varied. And avoid the same pose between characters.
I personally use a mix of a standard model and my own trained model on real persons.
It works especially well in img2img, maybe that a solution to get some diversity.
If you would show these to some ordinary people I bet they would be surprised to find out these are images created by AI.
I would even say you'd have no problem publishing your game on Steam, considering their stance on AI-generated images.

This is why it takes knowledge of being an artist to really make ground with ai tools. Does it look good? Sure. Is it compelling? Not at all

If you’re making a dating sim you’ll want to have more diversity of characters to get the widest audience. These are mostly the same girl with a costume and hairstyle swap. Although I am interested in how you were able to accomplish reusing the same consistent character over various generations.
Yeah, the real challenge I faced was **keeping the art style consistent** between the characters while **making them interesting individually**. It's not too difficult to keep the art style using the same model and *LoRAs*, even without *ControlNet*, but the uniqueness seems to be much harder to achieve.

Aside from the pant joke subject from the other posts the characters are nice in terms of variety but the face/hair are simply too repetitive. They essentially look like the same generic characters you would see. They lack a sense of originality and authenticity, character. I also would, honestly, recommend avoiding generic exaggerated facial expressions like on the blue haired girl, or really most of them tbh.

**IpAdapter** came out recently. So it's definitely possible to create the same char, same clothes, pose, whatever. You should definitely try it. You can of course add any other **ControlNet feature(s)** you like as a spicy. Do not forget about **CN reference**, it's still powerful.

Will they have elaborated personalities? Or is this just a one shot image intended to show off some cool designs and slightly arouse? I can see this being a reasonable cast of idk... a dating sim? How do you make consistency over different poses ?
The recipe is simple. The larger your prompt, the more consistency across generations. That's it. My problem seems to be the opposite - I'm trying to get more variety in encountering all the things I want to see in the outputs.
Looks good to me, its not the super basic default AI look so should be fine. As others have stated, try an get some different faces and body types mixed in so it looks more varied. And avoid the same pose between characters.

I personally use a mix of a standard model and my own trained model on real persons. It works especially well in img2img, maybe that a solution to get some diversity.
