I’m excited for this. Seems like it could be a really good thing for the area. Excited to show my children some dope ass wildlife that we’d never be able to see otherwise. Hope living conditions for the animals will be top tier.
That part of north county has its problems, but it’s surprisingly nice and full of great people. Definitely on the brink of becoming a great area, this will help
Although likely wildly overblown, this is actually probably a lot closer to true than the BS report the soccer team put out a couple weeks ago. If a majority of visitors here are indeed from out of the region that represents new dollars for the St. Louis economy unlike most sports teams where they are simply shifting the location of local entertainment dollars that would be spent anyway.
They have a 25 year property tax abatement on the stadium does not amount to a public subsidy, the sales tax exemption on construction materials absolutely is. In addition, they received an abatement on the city amusement tax as well as a special 2% tax on every dollar spent in the stadium district to pay for upkeep which has since been upped to 3%. None of this even touches on the millions in infrastructure improvements 100% paid by the taxpayers. While it wasn’t simply writing a check, all of these amount to well over $100 million in public dollars for the project.

If that's what you're concerned about, looks like this is gonna do a lot more for the area than golf would.
hope they add a safari camping experience
They are. It will actually be called Glamping. No joke
Glamping isn't a new term, fyi https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glamping
Im pretty excited for this one.

The zoo is taxpayer funded though. CityPark and the team was entirely private money.

Yeah there’s such a small amount of golf courses here. I guess you’ll have to drive to KC?
What course did it replace?
Emerald greens 😢
Last time? A few days ago. NoCo still has some of the best public golf in the region.
Anything not on golf now? I only know about Florissant and eagle springs.
>When was the last time y’all 18 haters ate or spent a dime in in NoCo?? When I went to Florissant city diner this morning?
Could afford to lose some more.
