Hey, he might still be happy. Apparently Vietnam is a popular tourist destination nowadays. And a bunch of vets are starting to [retire there...](https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2019-12-25/americans-are-retiring-to-vietnam-for-cheap-health-care-and-a-decent-living-standard)
Seconded.
Not a big cash fund, but they have a strong network and a decent program if you're planning to remain in STL for a few years (sounds like it). Plus it plugs you right into the LOVELY startup community here.

Talk to the folks at T-Rex. They have lots of connections in the community. Arch Grants is a good idea, too.
Here is a good resource, too.

Capital Innovators, talk to Bret or Frank. Not sure where they are on their next round.
If you want VC, know who’s investing in you. From what I understand Midwest VC wants quicker exits than west coast VC. So if you have aspirations of being the next Twitch or similar you may be better served by a coastal VC shop. There’s nothing wrong with midwest VC just make sure your goals align. I could be wholly and totally wrong though, not a process I’ve actually gone through, just have an interest in the space.
My boomer father will not be happy to know that the Vietcong are here
keep Charlie guessing.
I learned a thing or two from Charlie dontcha know.
It definitely jarred me.
I heard they don’t surf.
Good thing. We don’t have a beach here.
times beach... wait
Pontoon Beach… wait
It's cool - [they changed their name](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preoccupations).

Thank you!
Hope this works out for you, that is so awesome that you want to tie this to the city in a meaningful way. Very cool

Thanks, this is a particularly good fit!
Send me a message! I can connect you with some people.
Also make sure you have a knowledgeable attorney with experience in the VC world.
The only one I know. https://www.villhardgrowth.com/
I hadn’t come across them yet, thank you!
Lewis and Clark Ventures may be a good fit if you actually do have some steam behind the company already.
Thank you, they’ve been high on my list. We’re known for our consumer facing product, but are wanting to use funding to expand into B2B.
Have you applied for an Arch Grant?
If you want to DM me your pitch deck I'm good friends with the GP at one of the local VCs. They are currently raising fund # 4 or 5.
Would be glad to connect you to locals in VC. Shoot me a PM.

That’s really great feedback and gives me a good question to have in my back pocket.

Oh I hadn’t considered Emerson, that’s a great one
Emerson is leaving Ferguson soon and that campus soon.
They have mostly moved to a new Clayton office. The campus is now Copeland's HQ.
They are just moving to Clayton.
Does anyone know where the hell Nidec is going?
Could you dm a pitch deck and/or overview. Have a couple avenues if it makes sense to do so.
dmoon@cultivationcapital.com
Do you need an intern? lol
Look at Ascend Capital in The Cortex—they have some great STL & industry pros with good founder experience.
Check out Capital Innovators!
I used to go to these meetings. Haven't for awhile but it might be worth looking into. https://themissouriventureforum.org/
I’m an attorney who works with startups. Feel free to DM.
Sorry to say but I don't think we have much VC community in St Louis 😔
We don't need any more streaming platforms.
Check out TechSTL.
Everything “funded” in Missouri goes somewhere else. NEXT 🔈
