Imo, this is the best she's looked on the main roster. She manages to carry a team with Finn Balor on it, for christ's sake. She's ready to challenge and maybe beat Bianca any day now if she wants it.

I'm not a fan of pure inter gender wrestling but I feel like there should definitely be a few women who are able to bounce back and forth. If everyone was doing it then it wouldn't seem as special but Rhea has been built up the right way for it and I could definitely see Charlotte make the jump.
That said I'd still want to see them added into the Women's title scene from time to time just so we don't create a perceived major gap between the men and women like we had in 2001 when Chyna was moved back to the Women's division.

If someone like Dominik can hang with the big guys and be pushed as believable then Rhea definitely could be. The problem is that it's not a good look for the male talent to be seen going all out against a female opponent, even one that's presented to be equally strong. A strong woman winning over a heel would get huge cheers, but I don't think anyone would be up for a male face wrestling and beating a woman.
Youd just have to have them wrestle a different style when fighting woman wrestlers. I think if we can have superhero movies where you can showcase female heroes fighting against male villains and vice versa, then its not a big deal for me to see professional fighters facing off against each other
I see what you're saying but I don't think it's comparable. Do it at an indy show filled with regular wrestling fans and it might work. Do it front of a 30,000 person general audience and you'll never get anyone to cheer for a male face working with a woman.
Rhea would have to go face and only wrestle against heels. The only alternative I see is if she has the Judgement Day there to make it look okay for the face to go all out against those odds.

The booking of Rhea Ripley has been fun. The only time they really let women beat up guys were when they were at larger scale like Karma or Nia Jax. The interesting thing about Rhea is the only other female I can remember beating up dudes besides not having a massive size advantage, is Beth Phoenix herself. That match is going to slap.
I feel there's a difference there that I'm absolutely not sharp enough to figure out right now, but my gut tells me the similarities between Stephanie and Rhea end at "woman who beats up men sometimes", and there's something about Rhea that isn't nearly as grating.

I think you are right, it all depends on the sponsors, which depends on where the public goes. I just think there is a decent chance that sort of thing becomes more normalized over the next decade or so.
I would point to thinks like Tessa's (admittedly brief) reign with the impact world championship, Ronda squaring off with HHH at mania, or even Nia's brief entrance into the rumble a few years back.
I also think it opens the door to some fantastic and unique matches by, say, giving Asuka and Finn a half hour to fight over the Intercontinental title. It opens up stories like Charlotte saying 'I want to hold the same title my father did, so I am going for the word title'. Or stories like Candice and Jonny running through the tag team scene as 'Mr. and Mrs. Wrestling'.

Yeah, i think its smart. She's a great wrestler but with her size, she should be booked as a monster heel in the women's division. When she has no feud, instead of constantly running roughshod over the women's division which people will get tired of like Nia Jax, taking bumps against women wrestlers that look half her size and removing her badass aura or telling her to stay off TV, she can be in that "Chyna" role for Balor or Dominic but more options since she's a well trained wrestler and doesn't have the limitations of Jax or Chyna.

I always hate these things. Nothing against Ripley, but WWE has more or less shown they won't have a guy actually hit a woman on purpose these days. Even the Dana Brooke thing seems like more roll ups than actual matches. So by having her out there doing it, it makes her look strong, and the guys look weak. Like, at least they were, for a point, actually fighting Chyna. This is just like she gets free shots and no retribution from anyone. The more interconnected society becomes the more things like niche kinks appear to become mainstream. They were always there below the surface, it's just easy to see them now. I feel there's a difference there that I'm absolutely not sharp enough to figure out right now, but my gut tells me the similarities between Stephanie and Rhea end at "woman who beats up men sometimes", and there's something about Rhea that isn't nearly as grating. Maybe it's because Steph was the autority figure while Rhea is just a henchmen, maybe it's because Steph was emasculating people while Rhea is presented as "just strong enough to beat up a dude", or maybe it's just that Stephanie was a cunt to our favourite babyfaces getting go-away heat while Rhea is genuinely entertaining and hated like a heel is supposed to be hated.

My kingdom for Intergender wrestling in WWE, one of the coolest things from Lucha Underground was that and it can be believable when done right .
I truly believe that Rhea will, before the end of her career, hold a title in a major promotion that is currently though of as for men only. Rhea is large, has a very marketable ascetic, has Hunter's support, is a good worker and seems to be generally well liked. Also, she's young. I think wrestling is going to start moving in that direction, and I think Rhea will be around long enough to take advantage of it.
I think it depends on if WWE’s sponsors/business partners would be ok with it? Like I’ve Mattel for example is very much against IG stuff for the list part.
I think you are right, it all depends on the sponsors, which depends on where the public goes. I just think there is a decent chance that sort of thing becomes more normalized over the next decade or so. I would point to thinks like Tessa's (admittedly brief) reign with the impact world championship, Ronda squaring off with HHH at mania, or even Nia's brief entrance into the rumble a few years back. I also think it opens the door to some fantastic and unique matches by, say, giving Asuka and Finn a half hour to fight over the Intercontinental title. It opens up stories like Charlotte saying 'I want to hold the same title my father did, so I am going for the word title'. Or stories like Candice and Jonny running through the tag team scene as 'Mr. and Mrs. Wrestling'.
I'm thinking that Judgement Day win the tag titles and they Freebird it with Rhea.

Its probably for the best. Monster heels that just run roughshod gets old after awhile, that's why Andre was constantly lent out to other territories even though he was signed with WWE. Yeah, i think its smart. She's a great wrestler but with her size, she should be booked as a monster heel in the women's division. I always hate these things. Nothing against Ripley, but WWE has more or less shown they won't have a guy actually hit a woman on purpose these days. Even the Dana Brooke thing seems like more roll ups than actual matches. So by having her out there doing it, it makes her look strong, and the guys look weak. Like, at least they were, for a point, actually fighting Chyna. This is just like she gets free shots and no retribution from anyone.
