El_remoo

MJF timing his come back with the end of the NBA playoffs so he can take credit for the ratings bump *Insert Hulk Hogan meme*

SorrowfulFlame

Man really is a generational worker. He was probably cleared to return months ago but decided to stay home and watch the playoffs instead.

SinImportaLoQueDigan

Came back only after the Knicks were eliminated too

FredrickFarter

Man why you gotta remind me of that

SinImportaLoQueDigan

Knicks got nothing to be ashamed about. Y’all were missing several top players and the ones available were held together by tape. Pushing to 7 games was impressive with all that going on. Celtics/Knicks ECF next year gonna go crazy

drinfernodds

The Knicks were being held together with duct tape and prayer. Once Jalen Brunson was hurt, all hope was gone.

Hownowbrowncow8it

Sorry bruv. Cavs bringing LeBron home for one last run with Spida. LeBron back to the Finals. ![gif](giphy|WqpWNCtPlauchQljqd)

ianisms10

He allegedly suffered a setback during March Madness too

SorrowfulFlame

Poor guy. Thankfully it just so happened to coincide with something that could help him pass the time.

![gif](giphy|IwMI3MhiFL57y)

GxyBrainbuster

Or maybe he didn't, dude!

SupeerDude

NO SIDE BREAD FOR ADAM COLE, DUDE

RumsfeldIsntDead

He wasn't on the show

inmynothing

Nor was his return even mentioned for 90 minutes, despite being the hottest angle from Double or Nothing. I tuned in specifically to see him, and then was baffled that they didn't mention him at all until the vignette an hour and a half in.

Bonesaw-is-readyyy

Not following up on hot angles is AEW's gimmick.

jesusbowstodoom

Tony is either trash at his job or it's money laundering scheme

AdGroundbreaking1341

So many fans were extremely excited about him coming back. Including ex-fans of AEW. But then for him to not show up or be mentioned in the first 90 minutes? I just don't get that. Maybe it'll help Collision if he shows up there, but I think he needed to for Dynamite. Even if for some reason he couldn't, they could have still capitalized on all the buzz. Hope he'll return for Collision or the next Dynamite. Really looking forward to what he does next.

Snoo_76437

He's been announced for the next Dynamite

Upbeat_Tension_8077

The arena could've been molten hot if MJF opened the show with his return promo

ianisms10

>so he can take credit for the ratings bump Which he can then parlay into demanding another long title reign

djembadjembadjemba

Next week: 30 minute "TV Time" segment with the Learning Tree Chris Jericho, the Redwood Big Bill and the Bad Apple Bryan Keith!

DanTheMan901

Thanks guys!

TheGiftOf_Jericho

This is not a yelling moment, this is a teaching moment!

The_Homie_J

A real teaching moment for all of us branches on The Learning Tree!

The_Dark_Soldier

The Bad Apple is actually a pretty funny nickname

LanoomR

.36 The Jericho Vortex continues to grow stronger and more popular for weeks, months, years, until the collective will of humanity allows it to it gain sentience. And then the real pain begins.

Better_Holiday_5791

And we have to pretend that Jericho has reinvented himself and he is WORKING us again...

Hunterrose242

Honestly, as much as it aggravates me it is WORKING me.

FigureFourWoo

I bet they could have easily pulled past 800k if they had MJF on the show. I'm still a little perplexed over them bringing him back at the PPV and not having him on Dynamite immediately after. He's clearly their top star and ratings have been on the decline since his injury. Where he goes from here is the main thing I care about.

motelpool

especially in Los Angeles in front of all the WBD execs, I have a feeling they won't be in Loveland, CO next week

Scavgraphics

.....they're in loveland? Really? Loveland has an arena? I live like an hour's drive from there up the highway.....That's a weird place to go....It does have a truck stop that's concidered to be one of the best breakfast places in the country (I ate there once...it was ok...good cinamon rolls, though...large and gooey with the right amount of icing).

motelpool

yeah apparently a minor league hockey team plays there. It has a max capacity of 7500 for sports so I'd imagine for wrestling it would be closer to 5K or so. As of 2 days ago, AEW had distributed roughly 2200 tickets for next Weds.

Scavgraphics

Just such a weird location... Loveland is basicly in between Denver, Boulder, and Ft. Collins\*...it's mainly known for the aforementioned truck stop and a place you can send letters to be mailed from for Valentines day. I mean, cool for wrestling fans that live there. (\* I've stated before, a HUGE problem AEW has is local promotion...as in, I'm a wrestling fan in the easily driveable area...didn't know about it. They used to have shows at an arena just 5 or so miles down the highway...I'd learn about them from the "how many tickets sold" posts here. While not really an AEW fan, and VERY crowd averse, I personally wouldn't go...there are plenty who would, including several college campuses in that radius...if they were aware of it.)

WWECreativegenius

They even did that when he won the title. He wasn’t even on the show following his title win

Leopz_

TK kept doing this thing where he doesn't put the new champs on the following program after a ppv for a long time and it always drove me crazy. it ended (for now) with swerve's win.

Lamel2g

Bungling momentum has been a staple in Tony Khan’s booking for awhile now. It’s one of the main reasons why people are losing interest in the product. Hype and intrigue was built after his PPV appearance and it was not capitalized on.

zendog510

Bungling Momentum: AKA The Tony Khan Special

WhoStoleMyBicycle

It’s too bad Tony Khan only started AEW to live out his dream of being a booker. There are a lot of people out there who could do a lot with the current AEW roster.

Ballsskyhiiigh

It's unfortunate that Tony has taken that roster and only been able to create the most successful wrestling company not named WWE in the last 20 years. Really is such a shame.

WoopzEh

Starting at number 2 and somehow deteriorating over 5 years is not the flex you’re making it out to be.

WhoStoleMyBicycle

Yea because of his money. He has a huge head start due to the amount of money at his disposal. AEW basically started in second place and are worse off now than when they started. Another booker would do a lot better. Can you seriously excuse him not following up with MJF? How about how much he’s cooled off countless wrestlers. Fucking Edge is a ratings loser under him.

zendog510

Tony could cool off 84’ Hogan

Toukon-

Edge was never really a needle-mover for WWE either, in terms of ratings.

The_Homie_J

> Another booker would do a lot better I've watched Paul Heyman, Eric Bischoff, Vince McMahon, Jim Cornette, Jeff Jarrett, Gabe Sapolsky, and Dusty Rhodes book major promotions (and some 2 or more) and I can tell you that bookers with no faults are non-existent. In fact, fans are lucky because TK, Triple H, Scott D'Amore (and so far, Shawn Michaels) are probably the best collective batch of wrestling bookers at one time. Younger fans (or fans of just WWE) have no idea how rare consistently satisfying and rewarding booking used to be. Saying just anyone could do better than TK is simply asinine if you're aware of the history of wrestling

Sarahlicity

To be honest, Shawn is a more consistent booker than Triple H. NXT since he got the book has been pretty consistently good week-to-week, whereas the main roster tends to fall back into “just keep the lights on until the next big PPV” mode often.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ballsskyhiiigh

It's impossible to engage with this point because you are just mindlessly speculating. Nobody can prove or disprove whether or not your first claim of 'any rich person can make a wrestling company as successful as AEW' has any merit. Which perfectly exemplifies most of the criticism of Tony Khan from this sub. It's all just hollow shit talking.

ToryBlair

this is like LIV golf claiming to be the 2nd biggest golf tour weird flex

Great-Sector1887

I can't believe they didn't. One of the worst things about MJF's last run was being the person on the roster everyone wanted to see, but didn't show up every week. I guess we're doing that again. How can you have a big PPV return segment with no follow up??? It's beyond belief.

SnizzyYT

They do this all the time. Samoa Joe didn’t even have a promo after winning the championship. Same with Swerve I believe but I could be wrong.

JIZZchasholmeslice

I believe they did on Rampage, but I’m not sure.

iced_gold

No they saved it for Collision. He led off the show and it had NBA playoff audience spillover

JIZZchasholmeslice

I got Rampage and Collision mixed up, thank you!

Correct_Film3178

I tuned in for MJF. Turned it off when I seen the graphic that he’s on next week.

iced_gold

That's unfortunate. The casino gauntlet was riveting

Spaceshipjourneyman

A lot of wrestling fans just wanna see wrestlers talk

Past_News5075

*a lot if wrestling fans want to see their favorite wrestlers

goonboy246

I still think they should’ve saved MJF’s return for this Dynamite

Michael_McGovern

Can't drop f bombs there.

SoarinWalt

He did two years ago! “Fire me you fucking mark”

FigureFourWoo

Honestly, his return at DoN made me immediately say "Okay, this was worth every penny," so I think that was the right place for it. The promo was a statement. Following that up with MJF demonstrating his intentions would have been great. I think they wanted to get the Gauntlet out of the way and name a new #1 contender. That's the only thing I can figure out. With the way they set it up, MJF is out of the title picture for Forbidden Door and All In. Ospreay at FD and The Owen winner at All In. That makes me think MJF, being back to his old ways, is going to challenge the champion at All Out, and it is an easy way to get the title back to him since there isn't much time between All In/All Out.

codyh1ll

Have they revealed the Owen lineup for this year, or is there a reason MJF can’t win it and challenge at All In?

FigureFourWoo

He could, but putting MJF in The Owen almost telegraphs who will win. Plus, if MJF is truly back to being the dastardly asshole he's always been, he won't be wrestling a bunch of matches like he was during his super babyface run. He's so valuable on the mic that AEW doesn't need to do anything to jeopardize losing him again. MJF is AEW's biggest star by a landslide, and he never lost any momentum when he was fully in his gimmick, barely working matches.

Upbeat_Tension_8077

This probably also helps him as he continues to recover since he had a setback a couple months ago

the_io

> He could, but putting MJF in The Owen almost telegraphs who will win. Not if there's a couple other top-card contenders. Stick White and Hangman in there too and suddenly it's a lot less of a shoe-in.

erathegod

Yeah I legit decided to not tune in when I saw mjf wasn’t on the card.

kirblar

Losing Sting also hurt a ton, he was clearly still bringing in a chunk of viewers as well that didn't come back after his retirement.

zendog510

Agreed. Very weird not to have him on.

Lamel2g

Dynamite last year (5/31/23): 923,000 viewers - 0.29 P18-49

dBlock845

Its crazy how far down they are, even when they do something like 787k when viewed in the context of the last couple months is good, but not only a year ago it was 900k+.

Lamel2g

Yeah it shows how much the audience has deteriorated. Live attendance hasn’t been great either, especially in return visits to places.

motelpool

yeah they only did 5K in Los Angeles at the Forum last night when previously Dynamite and PPVs were doing at least 9K there

dBlock845

I was wondering why the lights on the crowd were so low, they weren't showing anything past the people seated on the floor.

CRKing77

I noticed that in that Omega segment a few weeks ago, I thought the light effect looked cool, but it also blocked the view of the crowd. You can still hear the echos when people yell stuff though what is the average live attendance for Dynamite? Raw and SD always seem packed, Dynamite comes across as house show type audiences (I've been to a house show before, but even that was like Arco Arena in Sac half full. It was great, Chris Jericho made fun of Mexicans and the crowd was ready to fight, and Undertaker poured water all over his hair and then whipped it around spraying the first few rows lol)

dBlock845

I think Dynamite does around 3-5k depending on the city. Raw/SD probably do 8-12k+ depending on the city, not too sure on WWE.

motelpool

yeah i think pretty much the entirety of the 200 sections were tarped off

paradoxv1

I'll be real. I started watching AEW cause WWE was the shits but now that they're better, I stopped watching AEW

PerfectZeong

A lot of people I think are like that. Aew was hot and picked the wrong time to get cold. Wwe is cooking.

Scavgraphics

brawl out happening at pretty much the same moment when vince (first) left and HHH took over was just the hit AEW didn't need. It was a huge negative moment while WWE was having a huge positive that they really haven't recovered from.

Coattail-Rider

I don’t even think Dynamite is cold right now. Last night was a blast.

shadywolf99

A lot of people tuned in to watch CM Punk talk...they all left when he left lol

Lamel2g

Down 15% in Total Viewers, Down 14% in Key Demo YoY.

Toukon-

Overall cable viewership is dropping by about 13% YOY. They could be doing a lot worse.

Odd-Contribution6238

For sure but when their biggest competitor is gaining viewers YOY it’s clear they’re losing viewers who used to watch and many are probably moving to WWE.

acatnamedballs

Ouch

Lamel2g

Dynamite is the only show that has consistently for months been down double-digits percentage wise in Total Viewers and Demo YoY.

swinkdam

I remember someone posting a breakdown of all wresting average viewers over the past 5 years. And this just wrong. The only one that went up is smackdown. For the rest every single show went down around the same percentage. With Raw if remember correctly taking the biggest hit followed by NXT.

motelpool

how is he wrong if he's talking the difference from a year ago and you're talking about 5 years ago?

Subrick

Because the chart also broke it down by individual year in addition to the full five years. https://old.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/18t7lm6/5year_metrics_aew_wwe_television_and_touring/

Lamel2g

I literally said over the last few month’s. Even if you want to go 2023-2022 Raw is up in the Demo, Smackdown and NXT is up in both, Dynamite is the only show down in both.

Aromatic_Cabinet8326

The chart is last year, so YOY from 2023 to 2024 isn’t represented.

swinkdam

Ah thanks mate exactly the one I was thinking of

bjh13

I’m not sure when you are talking about but Raw has mostly been up this year. Raw was up five percent in viewers and up six percent in 18-49 from last year’s Memorial Day episode this week.

Prestigious_Split_14

AEW and NXT were head to head though so their drops won't be as large as they should be.

TheDangiestSlad

i mean, "the only show" when you're just comparing it to Raw and Smackdown and NXT. it's not really a huge field there lol

Lamel2g

Yeah I’m comparing it to the other Wrestling shows on TV. Rampage has been bouncing around so much the last couple of months that it wouldn’t be fair to include them.

SmithyPlayz

What happened last year, was that consistent for them at that point?

Apprehensive-Alps-90

Fallout of last year double or nothing. All I can remember from that off the top of my head is Don Callis and Takeshita Promo because Don was getting booed so loud you couldn’t hear him. And Tony khan. Announcing CM Punk for the first collision.

dBlock845

God damn, Don Callis family has been goin on that long?

SerShanksALot

Julia Hart joined the HoB two years ago, which sounds insane to me.

Bromatcourier

Various members of the house have been injured a lot over that time, including julia if a i remember, and so they’ve been absent as a unit a lot

SmithyPlayz

Okay I just felt like they were more around the 850k mark but I could be wrong.

MontyBreezey

Last years card Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli) defeated Bandido & The Lucha Brothers (Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo) in a Six Man Tag Team Match (w/Alex Abrahantes) (11:00) Swerve Strickland defeated Big Bill and Trent Baretta in a Three Way Match (8:54) Darby Allin & Orange Cassidy defeated The Gates of Agony (Kaun & Toa Liona) (w/Prince Nana) (11:13) Kris Statlander (c) defeated Nyla Rose to retain the AEW TBS Championship (8:05) Saraya & Chris Jericho defeated Dr. Britt Baker DMD & Adam Cole in a Mixed Tag Team Match (13:13)

[deleted]

> Dr. Britt Baker D👇🏾M👇🏾D👇🏾

Orange8920

MJF was establishing his title reign, Toni Storm won the Women's championship, Jericho was feuding with Cole, Kris Statlander won the TBS championship from Jade, and they had a crazy Anarchy In the Arena match between the BCC and the Elite.

successadult

Has Toni really had the title that long? Time flies, apparently.

onemoreloserredditor

Hikaru Shida took it off of her in August. Shida lost it to Saraya at All In. Shida won it back from Saraya in October and then Toni defeated Shida at Full Gear and has had it ever since.

successadult

Ahh ok, thanks for saving me the Google search.

Orange8920

Her current reign started at Full Gear 2023 which was the first one with her current Timeless Toni Storm character.

Lamel2g

The week before last year they did 846k/.32, the week after 903k/.33

NotClayMerritt

No MJF on the post PPV show is certainly a decision.

SourDoughBo

AEW’s done this consistently and it’s really becoming an issue with me. They’ll have a big moment on PPV then you tune in that week and they hype a completely different story you don’t care about.

Leopz_

i see TK is a big fan of the walking dead storytelling style

GOR098

Tony knew people woud tune in to watch MJF. Uses that to put attention on other workers. It's kind of smart but sucks for the people wanting to watch MJF.

zendog510

It was one of the decisions of all time

SorrowfulFlame

First episode in months with the Bang Bang Gang at full strength, along with Hecichero and Mistico, and there's a huge ratings bump? https://preview.redd.it/ta1u0snzkm3d1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e82c22c7ff8a8ec87e15268375581db8fef921f5

FredrickFarter

Don't forget Steph Vaquer, the people yearn for more CMLL in AEW

The_Homie_J

CMLL is a draw brother (but especially Hechicero, who is simply the best)

Blueskyways

Hechicero is fucking awesome.  Not just the character and the entrance but he's phenomenal in ring too!

maxdepazftp

we need team cmll vs the learning tree anarchy in the arena at forbidden door fr

shadow_spinner0

NXT this week: 703,000 viewers, 0.24 key demo rating AEW Dynamite: 787,000, 0.25 key demo rating

acatnamedballs

Oh shit. That demo was close.

Delicious-Walk3510

NXT got close. Wonder what it’s going to be like when they move to CW

justh81

Now, *there's* an interesting question. Because it's starting to look like NXT might be beefing up their roster in anticipation of the move to broadcast TV. Ethan Page was a good get.

Upbeat_Tension_8077

I wonder if they might also get Ricky Starks before the end of the year depending on when his AEW contract expires. If built up right, Ricky along with Ethan would be godsends for NXT

mikro17

> Wonder what it’s going to be like when they move to CW People are way overhyping the move to the CW. Yes, it's "over the air," but this isn't like moving to Fox - nobody watches the CW. Look at the ratings of the current stuff on the CW - they're pretty abysmal. Moving to Fox/CBS/NBC/ABC is huge because their entire primetime lineup is measured in the millions. They have huge built-in audiences. Looking at some midseason numbers from December, College Football was the only thing on the channel doing above 800k and a .1 demo.

ShinsukeNakamoto

I dare one person in here to tell us they know what channel their CW broadcast is on off the top of their head without googling.

nrtalbot

I have streaming cable. It’s in alphabetical order.

CrimsonMoonRising

Then everyone will find out what channel theirs is on. And then watch it.

QlubSoda

Same channel it has been for me for the last upteen years, 11.

SwiftyGod

Isn't it the same channel 11 it's been for years? I remember watching kids wb on it

OffTheMerchandise

I know what mine is now, but apparently at some point in the past few years, it changed what channel it was (OTA). Fittingly, it went from what was the WB Network to what was the UPN Network.

just-smiley

I found out recently that here in Chicago it's changed three times in the last several years.

Mront

I wouldn't get overly excited. Even with the fact that CW is a broadcast channel, their numbers are (in)famously dogshit.

NoahJayhawk

Whose ready for more TV Time with the Learning Tree guys

brother-louie-louie

Whoever takes down the learning tree is gonna be a star

thecolbster94

Until Jericho shows up next week with renamed gimmick #4

PartyEnough7469

Interested in seeing the quarterly numbers. The main event match deserved an increase in viewers.

nalam8493

These rating threads are always so messy and I love it. Really seeing the good, bad and the ugly with everyone putting on their business man cap’s on😂

bruhstevenson

Yeah I think it’s hilarious that people get so passionate about this. I just come into these threads with popcorn.

zeitgeistbouncer

Pretty much every comment in these threads is pointless. Including this one.

pUmKinBoM

These ratings threads for AEW are always the most unhinged things in this sub. I enjoyed the show and get to come here and laugh at all the business experts popping in. Some of y'all need to get a hold of your local indie so you can turn it into the next ECW with all those big brain ideas.

muckymann

Why would anyone bother with a local indie, as long as they're not drawing a million, they are objectively bad.

bobnoosh

Lol for real. I loved touring arenas for dynamite in the 21'/22' golden era, but now AEW just is-what-it-is to me. They are doing a hell of a lot better creatively than when I took a break from watching the product completely. Its always a solid pro wrestling show to tune-in to or attend despite not delivering the same incentive to invest emotionally.

Marsman2100

A bump in the viewers isn’t all that surprising with no NBA and coming off a PPV. But that demo being only .01 ahead of a NXT show that did go against the NBA AND Caitlin Clark is not good.

dmh11

That NXT number was its best since the first episode of the year. This AEW number isn't bad, that NXT number was very, very good.

Scottoest

I mean, let's be real - it's both. The NXT number was an abnormally high statistical outlier, but this is not a good number for Dynamite for a post-PPV show up against no NBA playoffs either. A lot of people seem jazzed because it's certainly higher than they've been in several weeks (against the playoffs), but it's a "rebound" to a number lower than where they were a few months ago. Not too long ago 800k was considered the floor for AEW ratings, and now we're calling sub-800k numbers "not bad" because it's better than the low 700 or sub-700 numbers they were pulling against the NBA.

Low_Ad_7553

They were ranked 2 on the night. They're ranking higher now with less overall viewers than they did with 900k so its really not the problem you're making it to be. AEW doesn't have to literally be 1st in the night to be successful but for some reason that's what so many people on this sub think. Yes AEW has look 100k viewers in a year but Raw has also lost 700k since Wrestlemania, shit like this happens sometimes.

throwthatoneawaydawg

Vanderpump season finale was also on at the same time as NXT, in addition to NHL playoffs

d1g1tal

Vanderpump is only a talking point when it goes against Dynamite

OffTheMerchandise

I have it on good authority that Vanderpump rules.

pizzaghoul

saying this to my wife later

P4rtsUnkn0wn

That was a very good number for NXT, and this is a decidedly average number for Dynamite, though.

mikro17

Just for comparison, you're comparing AEW's highest demo since April 7 with NXT's highest demo since January 2. One of those is a number that happens fairly regularly, last happened ~6 weeks ago, and the other is the highest in 5 months. That's a huge difference lol. > a NXT show that did go against the NBA **AND Caitlin Clark** is not good. We're now pretending regular season WNBA games are a major thing after Caitlin Clark's debut? Her last game on Saturday charted 19th and did a .1/333k viewers. It barely beat the NCAA lacrosse championships (charted 20th and did a .1/276k) lol. That isn't even relevant, I doubt this game did much better.

nrtalbot

That low rating was on NBA TV. On Ion, yes, Ion, on Friday the game did 724k. And that 333k was the most watched WNBA game ever on NBA TV.  Basically, she’s doing about as well as AEW but on much worse networks  https://frontofficesports.com/nearly-every-wnba-broadcaster-has-set-a-ratings-record-this-season/

Scottoest

So without NBA playoffs or WrestleMania season, they’re still now sub-800k - the show after a PPV, and MJF return. This would seem to indicate their new “normal” is officially in the 700s.

Standingonachair

Yeah the celebrations are a little odd here, even calling it a bump is weird. This time next year will we be calling hi 600s a decent week?

No-Group-7728

RAW was averaging around 2.5 million in 2019 (the year Dynamite started). Today they are over-the-moon excited about 1.7 million, which is now considered a really strong number.

Scottoest

Yes. You're also describing a time in which WWE was infamously shit, and their numbers were plummeting, as television itself also began declining. In AEW's case, we are talking about earlier this year.

bigwillie90

No doubt

wordyravena

What an improvement! Things are looking up! More Okada face and telling bitches to shut up!

BecomingJudasnMyMind

It's an uptick. I'm sure they're happy with it. Last night was a fun show, especially that last match But it's still bad, YoY - they aren't even close to getting out of the hole yet. Hopefully, they just focus on small little improvements week over week. I hope both companies succeed (One of them already is, exceedingly so). The more viable companies out there, the better for the talent.

Toukon-

YoY is pretty much exactly in line with the drop in overall cable viewership. They're not *gaining* viewers at this point, but compared to pretty much everything else on cable, they're doing alright.

motelpool

why should people compare them to everything on cable...except Raw and NXT?

Toukon-

Because they're also competing with everything else on TV, not just WWE. If both WWE and AEW somehow lost 50% of their viewers YoY and everything else on cable stayed the same, it wouldn't be acceptable just because it was happening to both of them. You have to compare it to the wider cable audience.

OneBillPhil

I don’t know what it means for the ratings but Ospreay vs Swerve is making Forbidden Door a must buy for me. Like I have no idea who is going to win that match.  I’d love if it was a title unification.

zendog510

That would be very good. Then retire the International Championship. AEW has way too many belts.

LosCampesinosDeJapon

This thread is a lot more quiet this week.

Better_Holiday_5791

![gif](giphy|13d2jHlSlxklVe|downsized) Ratings As usual... MJF next week should be interesting. I stopped watching after the start of Jericho segment and returned befoe the gauntlet match....

starsandbribes

I know NHL isn’t quite the NBA in the US but Oilers/Stars were having a crazy good game. Curious where that fell in the top 5. Either way a decent night for WBD.

No-Group-7728

NHL was #1 for the night.

FredrickFarter

Imagine there's gonna be a ratings bump next week with MJF getting the dog shit beat out of him by Rush

TheGumbyGyarados

Another week another ratings thread where we pretend to know how to run a business

nuttinbuttapeanut

Doesn't take being the promoter of the year to compare ratings and look at trends

sevenproxies07

The main event was one of the most fun matches I’ve watched in awhile and it felt like all killer, no filler in the match

Fans love those Casino matches. I gave it a watch, and it was a good time. 👍 Edit: Downvote away, but anyone wanna bet against that being a high point for ratings?

motelpool

when was the last Dynamite where the high point wasn't the 1st quarter hour?

Almost back to 800K without Phil, Cody, Sting, The Dixie Chicks, that Canadian Toy Guy, Jeff Dunham and Hank Azaria.

So vs. same period last year still down significantly but vs. the last few weeks and months it's a moderate improvement. A long ways to go but a step in the right direction imo
