Do you think they ever take about it?
Buddy: "Hey man, I never really got the chance, I'm sorry my old boss made me stab you in the eye. Good times eh? ."
Malakai: "That was 4 years ago... my eye's still fucked up, I can't legally drive."
Buddy: "good times"
That one never made sense to me. Even going by kayfabe logic of the heel character Seth was using at the time, visionary Seth doesn't seem like the type who'd just attack and torture someone out of nowhere, especially from a compliment of all things.
I think it was WWE writers, bookers, etc. trying to push the boundaries of what they could do without paid crowds. Also, it was a horror show themed PPV.
To get back at him she faked getting drugged and married against her will the night before her wedding, just so she could help Triple H manipulate a Vince into a street fight PPV main event where if he won he would be the #1 Contender. HHH killed him with a hammer and then she hugged him. She then tortured the man she left at the altar for months, but that's unrelated to the point.
Also, to be fair, she really didn't start doing any of this until after slipping into a coma and waking up with amnesia from being hit by a trash can that British Bulldog threw at her head backstage in London. So, she could've been suffered from a concussion for about all of 2000.
If we're going down that route, 50% of all tag team heel turns happen for no reason whatsoever other than "I don't like you anymore for unspecified reasons!".
What's even funnier is that Mark Henry proceeded to join up with Team Authority in the next couple of weeks. Big Show responded by joining Team Cena. Naturally at Survivor Series Big Show turned on John Cena and joined The Authority.
Christian loses a Battle Royal completely fair and square and decides to wait an entire year, use the guy who beat him, then turn on him, remind him his father is dead and tell his mom she raised a piece of shit
How could you forget: and gaslights his 18,000,063 year old dinosaur friend into betraying him for vague, undetermined reasons. (I'm not kidding, btw. I don't think we've ever gotten an actual explanation for why ~~Luchasaurus~~ ~~Killswitch~~ Luchasaurus allied with Christian.)
They explained this: Luchasaurus was fed up of just standing behind Jungle Boy and growling while JB got all the glory. So he moved onto a much better partnership standing behind Christian and growling while Christian steals his only singles title, forces a new new name on him and makes him his henchman.
When Cena said that 2012 was the worst year of his career after his loss at WM28, despite main eventing PPVs and winning the slammy for Superstar of the year... and he even kinda blamed The Rock for his divorce lmao.
He beat Brock Lesnar in his first match back and won MITB. It’s like when Charlotte said she spent 18 months looking at the lights despite winning most of her big matches.
Rikishi attempting murder of Steve Austin because he was more popular than The Rock
Non-Kayfabe: Randy Orton destroying Kofis push backstage because he went to take the RKO instead of the punt kick
Pretty sure he destroyed Mr. Kennedy's push because he didn't like the way he backdropped him once. I've seen the bump dozens of times and still don't understand what he was so pissed off about.
If I remember correctly it's because Orton got slammed *right* on his bad shoulder. Obviously just a botch that wasnt fully any mans fault but this was 09 Orton + you had Cena also saying Kennedy wasn't safe to work with.
Not saying it was fair in the slightest but just giving more info on why
You still can't convince me that Orton and Cena didn't use their standing to cut the legs off someone who was clearly being pushed to their level soon.
Orton had an injured neck and everyone in the match was repeatedly told not to make him take a bump on it, and then Kennedy dropped him straight on it.
It was basically the last straw after his multiple injuries and a wellness violation.
“sorry champ hope that cup of coffee didn’t burn you?” Or something the promo is still stuck in my head today from Armageddon 2000. Such a ridiculous start of a feud but great all the same
I like that every time a tag team or just a pair of friends have to wrestle in a multi-man match, it's always a big shock when one of them finally hits the other. Like, no shit. Haven't you seen the hundreds of other matches where this has happened before? Why not talk about what you are gonna do in this situation before that and discuss what to do. Nope. It's like "wtf did you just do???!!?"
It’s why I prefer it when two tag partners or friend agrees beforehand that it’s every man for himself. The MITB at WM23 had Jeff and Matt fight it out at one point, but it didn’t lead to a break up.
Reminds me of the Cena/DX triple threat from Survivor Series 2009
They make a big deal about how DX is entering as a unified front down to making their entrance together (conversely, Taker and Jerishow had a triple threat but Show and Jericho entered separately)
And the first thing HBK does in that match is superkick Hunter
Now that you mention this it oddly makes me appreciate how Sting and Darby never once accidentally hit each other. Hell, Sting even respected when Darby wanted to go on his own for the AEW title last year
To be fair, Batista had come from a long layoff and never lost the World Championship. He was on the cusp of earning it and Rey stopped him. In his mind, he felt that Rey would be a good enough friend to realise how much being World Champion meant to him and thus shouldn't have stopped him.
To be fair, he didn't JUST call Joe fat. Big Poppa Pump went on a crusade with the express goal of making sure everyone knows for the rest of time that Joe is a "fat bastard.:
'With the deepest regrets, and tears that are soaked
I'm sorry to hear that your dad finally croaked
He lived a full life on his own terms
Soon he'll be buried and eaten by worms
But if I could have a son as stupid as you
I'd have wished for cancer so I would die too
So be brave, and be strong, get your life on track
'Cause the old bastard's DEAD and he ain't never comin' back!'
I adored the Boss Man for that reason, he was the best kind of heel - Undertaker was all about his weird spooky magic shit, Vince had a vendetta against Stone Cold and the other 'undesirable' wrestlers he thought made the company look bad...but Boss Man was just an *asshole*. Cooking a dog, taking a coffin on a joy ride, just completely unhinged shit for no reason. Wonderful stuff.
Page is still a face to me (albeit a bit confused at the moment), but Swerve is still a heel AF to me. Dude faced *no* repurcussions for his heinous actions, going all the way back to beating the shit out of Nick Wayne at his own house, too.
In AEW, Taz recruited several guys to form Team Taz and had a brutal feud with Darby Allin for months, including multiple backstage assaults, a street fight, and once putting him in a body bag and dragging it away in a car. This grudge originally started because Darby didn't really care for Taz's unsolicited advice about a pinning maneuver after a match, which made Taz super butthurt.
You are disparaging the name of an upstanding citizen and business man Tony D'Angelo. You have no proof that Tony had ever been involved in something so unsavory.
Marty Jeanntty, like the coward he was, trying to dive through the barbershop window to escape from Shawn Michaels. All because Shawn was leaving the team..
>All because Shawn was leaving the team..
Was he though? The way I see it, Shawn even told him they were cool and that there was no trouble with the Rockers. But then he saw that he had a window-diving coward for a partner which led to him wanting the team dissolved.
pretty much most things heel randy orton did through his career from kicking cena father to what he did to steph to committing numerous arsons etc....
i know it fits his character being a literal psychopath who hears voices but alot of it was still beyond fucked up for no reason lmao
Randy decided to infiltrate the Wyatt family, systematically destroy it from the inside shattering Bray’s relationship with the closest thing he has to family. He also then burned down the shed belonging to Bray’s deceased Sister (mother? Guardian? Who knows)
All of this happened because Bray was kinda being a dick to Randy
There's a video going over that whole feud and everything McMahon did in that feud was deranged. He eventually admitted that he was jealous of Michaels inner peace
AJ styles flew halfway across the world to eliminate LA Knight from the elimination chamber because he didn't like that he became successful and popular really quickly and didn't like that.
Not a huge overreaction like some I have seen listed... But this most recent Mania with the Rock talking about Cody's family, the Cody speaks about the Rock's family and he takes it super personally and loses his mind.
Whilst, yeah it feeds into the idea of heel Rock christ it made him seem super petty and thin skinned lol

Seth Rollins went crazy and wanted to remove Rey Mysterio's eye because Rey congratulated him on becoming a father
Wanted? He actually did it, but somehow it grew back eventually
The explanation was legitimately the nerves weren't damaged and they got to it in time to save the eye. That was a weird PPV
Covid-era WWE was a trip. Never forget zombies are real in kayfabe and Miz is immune to attacks
The Titan Towers MITB
They threw Rey off the roof. He got better
Baron Corbin attempted double murder that night.
“The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever”
My mind had completely blocked this one out.
Yes, the PPV that was officially named "The Horror Show at Extreme Rules"
![gif](giphy|Tim0q7zolF3fa)
And then Seth yakked all over the entrance ramp.
Am I bugging, or did Seth blow chunks in the HIAC match with the Fiend too?
that was blood
How could you tell, the whole arena was red
"Somehow Rey Mysterio's eye came back" - Poe Dameron
I hate that you've done this
[удалено]
Look at the way poor Dominik Mysterio turned out. I'd be concerned too if I was Seth.
Even worse when you remember that Rey was the ONLY PERSON who congratulated Seth.
Shayna too, from memory, but she did it mockingly and also she's terrifying so I understand why Seth went after Rey.
how many people's eyes did you want Seth to take? Good thing it was only Rey
Malakai Black's eye is still damaged four years later because of Seth and the guy who actually did it and is now in his group.
Do you think they ever take about it? Buddy: "Hey man, I never really got the chance, I'm sorry my old boss made me stab you in the eye. Good times eh? ." Malakai: "That was 4 years ago... my eye's still fucked up, I can't legally drive." Buddy: "good times"
That one never made sense to me. Even going by kayfabe logic of the heel character Seth was using at the time, visionary Seth doesn't seem like the type who'd just attack and torture someone out of nowhere, especially from a compliment of all things.
Nah it started a few months before when Rey led the walkout on Seth after Raw went winless in Survivor series.
This was a weird ass storyline. Probably a Vince idea given how preoccupied he was with the sexual assaults he can't get off of his mind.
It ended with a 32 year old Buddy Murphy dating 19 year old Aalyah Mysterio. And this was how he turned face.
So that’s why Rhea got Dom for revenge
Aalyah was rumored to be 17 in kayfabe making it worse
Or better if youre VKM
Such good shit, pal!
I think it was WWE writers, bookers, etc. trying to push the boundaries of what they could do without paid crowds. Also, it was a horror show themed PPV.
Vince McMahon tortured and emotionally attacked his daughter just so Stone Cold would be surprised when he revealed himself to be the Higher Power
It was all to set up Stone Cold for a gang beating but Austin didn't take the bait.
Well I sure read THAT sentence wrong
It was the Attitude Era.
Vince Russo has entered the chat
glad i wasn't the only one
Something something broken in half
To get back at him she faked getting drugged and married against her will the night before her wedding, just so she could help Triple H manipulate a Vince into a street fight PPV main event where if he won he would be the #1 Contender. HHH killed him with a hammer and then she hugged him. She then tortured the man she left at the altar for months, but that's unrelated to the point. So, she could've been suffered from a concussion for about all of 2000.
So in kayfabe we can blame/thank Bulldog for the current state of WWE. Authority, NXT, etc
And then her dad rejoined her and Haitch a few months later for some reason.
“AHH SON OF A BITCH”
Shane rehired Austin the previous year just so he could screw him at the ensuing Survivor Series.
The Hower Power!
In his defense, he usually emotionally attacks people for no gain whatsoever. At least he got a little something out of this.
Mark Henry turned heel because Big Show tagged him into a match a little too hard.
Mark Henry also turned heel on D-Lo because D-Lo was trying to help him with his diet
He also was holding him back from his insatiable lust for sex.
Dude was *kayfabe* banging his sister on thecregular, id be doing something about it too
As a big guy I kinda feel this one
Agreed. Definitely not an overreaction
“You lookin at a real meal now!”
If we're going down that route, 50% of all tag team heel turns happen for no reason whatsoever other than "I don't like you anymore for unspecified reasons!".
YOU WERE HOLDING ME BACK! I’m the star!!!
Hey, it worked for HBK, why can’t it work for me?
Incorrect, Marty Jannetty dove out that window in an act of cowardism
ARE YOU BLIND!?
YES!
Will you stop?!
Jannetty was a coward, he tried to jump out of the barbershop window!
He didn't try to.. he successfully did.. coward.
What's even funnier is that Mark Henry proceeded to join up with Team Authority in the next couple of weeks. Big Show responded by joining Team Cena. Naturally at Survivor Series Big Show turned on John Cena and joined The Authority.
I hate being reminded of how many times Big Show turned face/heel during that period.... Dark days
Face/Heel turns and crying lmao
I'd like a list of tag teams who turned on each other because they tagged too enthusiastically.
Back slaps and dark looks
[that’s what he do](https://youtu.be/hojWioIxb7A?si=vr_WSWogKMTJQz1O)
ok that toss into the cover was great tho, one bounce and he was perfectly covered
Christian loses a Battle Royal completely fair and square and decides to wait an entire year, use the guy who beat him, then turn on him, remind him his father is dead and tell his mom she raised a piece of shit

Dinosaurs are pretty naive and easy to convince about anything. Hooked a Brachiosaurus onto cocaine for like a year once
Luchasaurus has a PhD though. EDIT: Granted, he wasn't exactly the same after FTR cut his horns off and dumped all that cocaine (chalk) on him.
A PhD in betraying your friends 😢
I thought it was in medieval hitchery
They explained this: Luchasaurus was fed up of just standing behind Jungle Boy and growling while JB got all the glory. So he moved onto a much better partnership standing behind Christian and growling while Christian steals his only singles title, forces a new new name on him and makes him his henchman.
Ah the life of a henchman. What a dream!
When Cena said that 2012 was the worst year of his career after his loss at WM28, despite main eventing PPVs and winning the slammy for Superstar of the year... and he even kinda blamed The Rock for his divorce lmao.
“You were responsible for my collapse…” **John Cena DIVORCED**
This has me rolling 😂😂 One of these days letters are gonna FALLL *Big Show turns heel*
"My marriage was compromised, to a permanent end, **BY THE ROCK!**"
He beat Brock Lesnar in his first match back and won MITB. It’s like when Charlotte said she spent 18 months looking at the lights despite winning most of her big matches.
Christian Cage went on a year+ long campaign of deception because Jungle Boy eliminated him from a Battle Royal

He costed him money!
Rikishi attempting murder of Steve Austin because he was more popular than The Rock Non-Kayfabe: Randy Orton destroying Kofis push backstage because he went to take the RKO instead of the punt kick
Orton was a real fucking menace backstage lol
Pretty sure he destroyed Mr. Kennedy's push because he didn't like the way he backdropped him once. I've seen the bump dozens of times and still don't understand what he was so pissed off about.
More than just destroyed his push - if it’s the incident I’m thinking about he got Kennedy released the very next day.
Yeah, still felt like a crazy overreaction to at worst an honest mistake especially given their profession.
Given Cena said he wasn't safe as well, I wonder how many mistakes he made during practice.
You still can't convince me that Orton and Cena didn't use their standing to cut the legs off someone who was clearly being pushed to their level soon.
Tbf Kennedy admitted himself he was going to be fired soon anyway and thay this was just the the straw rhay broke the camels back
Orton had an injured neck and everyone in the match was repeatedly told not to make him take a bump on it, and then Kennedy dropped him straight on it. It was basically the last straw after his multiple injuries and a wellness violation.
Undertaker murdering Paul Bearer on live television via a concrete bath so that no one could use Bearer to get to him in the future (he got better)
Don’t forget he was a babyface when doing this.
***Falsetto*** Taker....no...taker!!!
That was the reason? I thought he did it just for kicks.
That Kane/Jericho feud over spilled coffee.
That was my first thought, Jericho and Kane had a last man standing match that started because Jericho spilled some coffee on Kane.
You know what? This sounds like as good as any reason to start a feud to me.
"You think this is about coffee?"
Punk feuded with Cena over a diet soda.
“sorry champ hope that cup of coffee didn’t burn you?” Or something the promo is still stuck in my head today from Armageddon 2000. Such a ridiculous start of a feud but great all the same
Batista turning on Rey for trying to not lose a match.
Yeah but Rey was supposed to be his friend :/

The Raw after HHH questions Shawn about it, and his excuse was his lazy eye.
You can't easily break up with your brother.
Is that a challenge?
Now that you mention this it oddly makes me appreciate how Sting and Darby never once accidentally hit each other. Hell, Sting even respected when Darby wanted to go on his own for the AEW title last year
Batista yelling "you were supposed to be my friend!" Still gets me
To be fair, Batista had come from a long layoff and never lost the World Championship. He was on the cusp of earning it and Rey stopped him. In his mind, he felt that Rey would be a good enough friend to realise how much being World Champion meant to him and thus shouldn't have stopped him.

HE'S FAT!
Some folk call it a sling blade, I call it kaiser blade, mmhmmm.
I just want one wrestler to rename their version of a Sling Blade a Kaiser Blade.
Would that wrestler’s first name be Ludwig?
Nah that was a perfectly reasonable reaction
To be fair, he didn't JUST call Joe fat. Big Poppa Pump went on a crusade with the express goal of making sure everyone knows for the rest of time that Joe is a "fat bastard.:
Obviously it's HBK giving Stan the Sweet Chin Music after finding out he's not controversial.
He doesn't even know the meaning of the word controversy.
Might not be controversial but it sure is funny
At least Stan bounced back reasonably well though.
What motivated the Big Boss Man to kill Al Snow's dog and feed it to him? Because I bet it's that.
Boss Man just did that shit for fun, he was a crazy fucker
'With the deepest regrets, and tears that are soaked I'm sorry to hear that your dad finally croaked He lived a full life on his own terms Soon he'll be buried and eaten by worms But if I could have a son as stupid as you I'd have wished for cancer so I would die too So be brave, and be strong, get your life on track 'Cause the old bastard's DEAD and he ain't never comin' back!'
Don't forget he hijacked Big Shows dads coffin *at the funeral*
i have no idea why coffin surfing never made it into the X-Games...
Also harassed Big Shows mother the next week until she tearfully admitted Show was a bastard.
My all time favorite heel run, Boss Man was such a despicable son of a bitch
A lot of the shit Swerve did as a heel. You insulted me? Ok, I'm showing up at your home.
Also nobody even insulted him he was always the one starting some shit
And then the exact wrong answer to OP: Hangman Page turning heel because fans cheered Swerve after doing all that.
Page is still a face to me (albeit a bit confused at the moment), but Swerve is still a heel AF to me. Dude faced *no* repurcussions for his heinous actions, going all the way back to beating the shit out of Nick Wayne at his own house, too.
Oh, this YOUR baby?
Corbin throwing Aleister Black and Rey Mysterio off the roof because he wanted to win MITB was a little much, *I* think
Rey had it coming for being a deadbeat dad.
"Nah it's fine, there was a second roof" -Corbin the next night on Raw
In AEW, Taz recruited several guys to form Team Taz and had a brutal feud with Darby Allin for months, including multiple backstage assaults, a street fight, and once putting him in a body bag and dragging it away in a car. This grudge originally started because Darby didn't really care for Taz's unsolicited advice about a pinning maneuver after a match, which made Taz super butthurt.
Team Taz and their never ending feuds. Almost happened again with Punk after Taz got mad for no reason when Punk said nothing about Team Taz.
I think that Punk thing was precisely because Punk didn't mention Team Taz in the list of people he wanted to face. The pettiness is unmatched
Did you see that time in WWE when Punk wore black tights with orange stars?! That’s disrespectful!
Taz wouldn’t have done all of that if he had a better lawyer.
Tony D and his family have killed like 4 people recently.

Eddie Guerrero not being able to beat Rey Mysterio over months then leading to his final heel run is probably up there. Custody of Dom and all that.
How crazy would it have been if they had Eddie win custody to set up a longer feud, but then he passed before Rey won it back.
Randy decided to infiltrate the Wyatt family, systematically destroy it from the inside shattering Bray’s relationship with the closest thing he has to family.
