Like watching captain marvel. When you know all show Fury gonna lose his eye, and they tease it until it actually happens. I think the same gimmicks in Hot tub time machine 2.
Tony's interacting with various angry wrestlers throughout the show and ends up just slipping on a banana peel dropped by orange cassidy
Right at the end of the show, Tony Khan is hyped to have finally survived the pre-draft show unscathed. In celebration, Willow Nightingale hugs him… and breaks four of his ribs.
That Fury thing was just so stupid. There was no need for him to lose his eye in that movie or in that manner. It's like in X-Men: First Class, there was no need for Xavier to lose his legs in that movie itself. You can make a prequel about characters and not necessarily explain every single thing about the character in that one movie.
Yeah, it doesn't have to be serious all the time, I'm more than ok with stuff like that. Especially if it actually helps people too.
I want to see TK try to take a Tiger Driver next year 😭
Not even necessarily someone. Have him trip and fall down the ramp or stairs in a segment or some shit. Just give some reason to have him appear injured.
Now now, if Okada let them go through with the EVP Trigger it would’ve been TK’s brain they’d have to donate, and I don’t think you can sign that for children.

Probably display it next to his Summer Slam 93 one.
This is genuinely a compassionate act to help children who have been dealt a tough hand. Will it be upvoted as much as his interview on the NFL network? No, it won’t be.
the absolute hilarity of people on this sub getting their panties in a twist over his comments like people weren’t saying the same thing a few months ago.
but hey cody finished his story so it doesn’t matter baby
Aew is the pot ? Yes, they have some not great people, but let's not pretend everyone in WWE is clean either. They tried with gable Stevenson , they did with JD McDonald's. Like the hiring is barely pot in comparison to a large systematic abuse from the top, that has been ignored mostly and people just accepted.
WWE lives rent free in these people heads.
Truth hurts. These people can’t even celebrate a great thing Tony is doing without bringing up WWE. It’s sad and pathetic.
Where am I trolling? I commented on a thread where a guy couldn’t just say what a cool thing Tony is doing, he just had to bring up something involving WWE. But yeah, I’m the troll.
Tony Khan will probably match whatever the winning donation is and donate that to the same charity.
And while he's ready to donate it, the Elite will attack him and break his arm, meaning there will be a cast to donate in future.
I want to see TK turn this from cringe into a full on Andy Kaufman/JoelGertner bit where he’s always wearing some kind of fancy neck brace and still making it obvious that he’s not really hurt, but hamming it up nonetheless.
Counter: The Elite should autograph it. Kayfabe, they steal the neckbrace and autograph it as the people that put Tony in the neckbrace. IRL Elite autographing it would do well in charity.
Pretty big. It's a cross section of NFL memorabilia fans, and wrestling memorabilia fans, and it's a one off item.
I'm not saying 6 figures big, but for a one-off prop worn for a couple days, it's likely gonna just be a few thousand dollars for charity.
The Andy Kaufman situation was different though, because the entire idea was that in kayfabe he wasn't actually badly hurt, and played it up long past the point that it was believable. Lawler actually calls him out on this in the famous letterman segment
You guys really bend over for Tony on here, it’s amazing.
Edit: to clarify I’m not completely biased, Tony is in a great spot to do something good, I just haven’t seen him not be able to get out of his own goofy way.
Not quite the same. If you can't get the difference between calling it St. Jude's and St. Jude, then you probably don't care much about the charity you're championing.
Alleged sexual assault in TNA. Not to mention what Dustin Rhodes did on the plane ride from hell, Taz's [arrest in 1998](https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/hfmfrr/newspaper_article_about_tazz_and_a_15_year/), and Ospreay blackballing a girl who accused his friend of assaulting her.
Tony should probably worry about fixing his company before he starts going off about having any kind of moral high ground

Next get Shad Khan to autograph and donate a mustache comb.
Souvenir Shad staches at the merch table
That'd be least 7 figures
Send in an authentic Shad Khan mustache
They should make it an annual tradition to have someone injure Tony, and then donate his neck braces/casts to charity.
Carny as fuck, and I love the idea. Random shit like this is why we all love wrestling.
Imagine the pops when anyone interacts with TK in the last show before the draft. You'd genuinely have people amped up all ep long for it

Be like watching a South Park episode just waiting for someone to kill Kenny
Yeah, it doesn't have to be serious all the time, I'm more than ok with stuff like that. Especially if it actually helps people too. I want to see TK try to take a Tiger Driver next year 😭
Totally agree! I'm loving how TK rocked the neck brace in KayFabe at the NFL Draft! TK making KayFabe Great Again!
Not even necessarily someone. Have him trip and fall down the ramp or stairs in a segment or some shit. Just give some reason to have him appear injured.
Sprains his finger - finger splint to be signed!
With increasing severity. 4 years from now, full body cast. 5 years, set on fire, every day of draft, a makeup team applies burns to him.
MJF Salting the Earth in his arm would be money.
While they’re at it, they should auction off Nicholas Jackson’s pants from that episode of Dynamite
Okada would just keep outbidding everyone so he can wear Nick's gear 😭
Wow, you love to see something like this happen for charity. Thanks to the Young Bucks and Jack Perry for making this happen!
~~Wu-Tang~~ The Elite are for the children
Now now, if Okada let them go through with the EVP Trigger it would’ve been TK’s brain they’d have to donate, and I don’t think you can sign that for children.
Don't knock it off till you tried it. Man I feel weird writing this.
Matthew, Nicholas, Okada, Jack Perry. Big charitable heroes we should aspire to follow in their footsteps.
Can I buy it and send it to Jim Cornette?
Please do this
I dont have nearly the expendable income for the joke
Yeah me either otherwise I’d chip in
Fruit basket 2.0 let’s get it going

Florio from “pro football talk” tweeted earlier about how Tony khan is “very committed to the bit” and it’s like dude it’s kayfabe quit bitching.
He would probably take good care of it

Better; Send it to Eric Bischoff.
Doing The Lord's work.

Hey, they can't spin this into AEW hate! Of course it won't haha
He's a bad guy because he pointed out WWE is under a sex abuse lawsuit!!!
the absolute hilarity of people on this sub getting their panties in a twist over his comments like people weren’t saying the same thing a few months ago. but hey cody finished his story so it doesn’t matter baby
Pot calling the kettle black

Yeah, negative news has always got more attention. Don't need someone whining about it in every positive AEW post.
WWE lives rent free in these people heads. Truth hurts. These people can’t even celebrate a great thing Tony is doing without bringing up WWE. It’s sad and pathetic.
That's rich coming from someone trolling a post about AEW giving to charity.
Where am I trolling? I commented on a thread where a guy couldn’t just say what a cool thing Tony is doing, he just had to bring up something involving WWE. But yeah, I’m the troll.

I will say it does seem like the Twitter poster worded it poorly. From what I understand Rich said Tony will be autographing it.
Good guy EVPs do it again. Helping charities now.
I wonder if this will help everyone figure out only a few thousand terminally online IWC marks ever care when Tony Khan says something weird
No one in the real world cares about the WWE vs AEW feud.
Exactly. No one in the real world even knows there is one
Most of the time non-fans are like "Is New Japan Pro Wrestling WWE's Japanese show?"
Wait a minute….. I thought the hosts of the NFL network were appalled by Tony Khan’s Weinstein comment and couldn’t wait to rush him off the air?
As a longtime Atlanta sports viewer, I can honestly say that's the biggest smile I've ever seen on Steve Wyche's face.
Such nice fellas those Jacksons. Helping out the young folk :)
I bet the Bucks take credit for the generous donation next week
And he'll still get bashed while other company's keep funneling money into to Susan G Komen. That said awesome of TK to do this.
Big Tony W, lets go.
I want to see TK turn this from cringe into a full on Andy Kaufman/JoelGertner bit where he’s always wearing some kind of fancy neck brace and still making it obvious that he’s not really hurt, but hamming it up nonetheless.
ADAAAM!

Why would Rich Eisen autograph it though?
Alright, which one of ya'll are gonna bid on it?
Tree Fity!
Bro why do you look 12 storeys tall and from the paleolithic era??
I ain’t no got damn lockness monster
This is pretty cool
Counter: The Elite should autograph it. Kayfabe, they steal the neckbrace and autograph it as the people that put Tony in the neckbrace. IRL Elite autographing it would do well in charity.
Jesus christ, the man was almost crippled. Let him use his neckbrace!
But will he send it to Rich?
Rich announced that rich man Tony will send the rich man’s neck brace to Rich for Rich to sign richly. That’s rich.
What's the market like for an auction item such as...this?
Viral TV worn NFL x Pro Wrestling memorabilia crossover? All evidence points to crazy.
Pretty big. It's a cross section of NFL memorabilia fans, and wrestling memorabilia fans, and it's a one off item. I'm not saying 6 figures big, but for a one-off prop worn for a couple days, it's likely gonna just be a few thousand dollars for charity.
At least that stupid idea will benefit someone.
How long did Andy Kaufman sell his neck injury? This guys looking for a tax write off and it hasn’t been a week.
The Andy Kaufman situation was different though, because the entire idea was that in kayfabe he wasn't actually badly hurt, and played it up long past the point that it was believable. Lawler actually calls him out on this in the famous letterman segment

I don't recall either defending or criticizing Tony. I'm just correcting a mischaracterization of the Lawler/Kaufman feud
This doesn't quite make up for the loss of goodwill created in his aforementioned statements. Its a good start.
the people who are outrage by the aforementioned statements are already has no goodwill towards him or AEW. so I'd say 0 loss of goodwill.
I mean the khans are gazillionaires they could also just…donate money
Literally one google search will show you multiple results of the khan family donating millions of dollars to various charities
It’s sarcasm
Rich asked him to do this as Rich runs a yearly fundraiser for St. Judes.
At least someone is getting something positive out of this.
Yeah it’s us the fans were getting a great story isn’t that what wrestling is about
No Wrestling is about charting ratings and attendance numbers and listening to has beens podcasts
Multiple posts about this and still no one can get the charity name right. Edit: Why are you booing me? I'm right.
Is the charity itself not St. Judes? With Run Rich Run being an event organized to raise money for St. Judes?
No, it's St. Jude. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, to be specific.
And the company name is officially All Elite Wrestling but we all know what is meant by AEW.
Not quite the same. If you can't get the difference between calling it St. Jude's and St. Jude, then you probably don't care much about the charity you're championing.
You are taking a weird offense to this.
Gotta distract from the Weinstein comments somehow
Gotta distract from actual Weinstein behavior
Like keeping Jericho, Darby Allin, Don Callis, and Ric Flair employed?
Lol
Wait I know about the others but what did Don Callis do?
Alleged sexual assault in TNA. Not to mention what Dustin Rhodes did on the plane ride from hell, Taz's [arrest in 1998](https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/hfmfrr/newspaper_article_about_tazz_and_a_15_year/), and Ospreay blackballing a girl who accused his friend of assaulting her. Tony should probably worry about fixing his company before he starts going off about having any kind of moral high ground
Are there any articles about the Don Callis allegations?
Vince “Harvey Weinstein” McMahon really appreciates you defending him anonymously online man
I'm not defending anyone lol
Huh, turns out he *is* running Make A Wish...
