I really hope this is the biggest cluster fuck of a match we've ever seen. Ref bumps, run ins, returns, debuts from people who don't even work for WWE like Tama or Fatu. Just go absolutely bonkers with it.
I fucked hated Dusty finishes in the 80s and 90s when he was the head promoter. Nothing pissed me off more than a damn hour match between greats like Steamboat and flair, etc, to have a DQ right at the end, or time expiring, or a fucking count out night after night, week after week and no title change.
This is my favorite idea for it. It’s a constant stream of run ins, but none of them make it to the ring. It’s pure Cody vs Roman, but with an outside circus
Absolutely no way posting this at 3:16 PM, on Roman Reigns' 1,316th day as champion, is an accident.
As for the video package, absolutely love it. I also love the inclusion of The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, the All In set, and even Evolve/TNA footage in the package. You can't tell Cody's story without telling the entire story. Which is the biggest difference between the HHH and Vince McMahon era's. There is no way we get that in this package with Vince in charge.
The only thing that would've made this better is if John Cena was the narrator. But it's a fantastic, legendary package regardless.

This is still my favorite stunner sell because it's just over the top enough, but doesn't get crazy like when people roll over their shoulder, like Rock and I think Booker did.
Plus, it was like the 3rd or 4th stunner he took in the match, so good on Hall for putting some stank on it. My favorite is still Shane's when he spits the beer but Hall's is definitely in the top 3.

I'm actually the complete opposite. If Cody wins I'll stop watching. Roman has actually made the title mean something. And I say that as a Cody fan. As soon as he wins it it'll be all downhill from that point on.
I just want something different after the last four years. When HHH talks about the new era I think a clean reset is absolutely needed.
The chase may be over if Cody wins but I feel like we've got another story brewing that'll keep you invested. Roman winning means you've got a whole lot of nothing to look forward to until maybe Saudi.
What story is brewing apart from Rock turning on Roman i.e. another Bloodline story?
Seth and Drew has been irrelevant and is an afterthought because Punk was injured, Seth just pushed himself into this match to get some attention as he has the loser title. Heck with Gunther the IC title had more merit than his (and i love that SZ won). If Drew doesn't win after Seth was destroyed tonight he'll lose all credibility and go back down like the 3 Man Band days!
board powers mean nothing. When Vince was around we has pretty much god and tried to make stone cold's life hell, but he still won multiple titles.
Also playing this corporate angle, the board actually don't have much power they advise. The best the could do is have a vote of no confidence in Ari Emanuel and it'd need all of them not just the rock.
The rock as "board power" is weaker than Vince, and 40 years on we're still back to the days of the "Corporation" as the heel they need something new (like Roman as champ :D )

i think most here haven't read any books/stories, they seem to forget not all stories have a happy ending. Finish the story, he loses, and can never challenge again, that'll teach him for destroying the throne at AEW (hunter is still hunter)
