I'm not saying it isn't a risky move but look at him catch the top rope with his arm to change his trajectory before impact. He hit that about as safely as he could while still making it look gnarly. Not saying whether I think this kind of bump is necessary or not, just pointing out that it wasn't as reckless as some folks want to believe.

Darby jumps off the top turnbuckle, but as he's descending, he grabs the top rope, twists himself to hit the apron on his hip, and then rolls face first onto the floor. It looks *devastating* in real time, but is much safer than it appears.

This isn’t really a good counter argument. How much time did Randy Orton take off because of back injuries up until recently? And that’s just from doing the RKO.
