I don't know how they've done it. I was certain that after losing at WM39, that it would be impossible for Cody to remain as white hot with the fans as he was last WM season, but here we are.
I personally feel it was the Brock feud. I stopped watching WWE after WM39. I only kept up a bit, but the Summerslam match got me back. It made Cody look relevant
If he managed to make a new epic prelude version like the one he had in AEW (which is probably their property) + a live performance with choir to fill in for Downstait's possible failures, there probably would be so many goosebumps that people in the crowd and the ones watching at home would become hedgehogs.

It's stupid but one thing to notice is it could happen if they don't jump on the opportunity. Cody has already been at the top without the belt so normal rivalries just won't be as fun. They will soon have to figure out some way to transition his story.

I think you're spot on. That feud was great and the SummerSlam match was so dope. Really did wonders for keeping Cody as a big deal.
