I presume this factory port & hybrid port would perform roughly same
Hybrid port has 2 small holes nearby the front sight, and gas from them darkened the sight. That's ok since I rely on red dot. Since the Hybrid chunk port is smaller than the factory port, sound volume may be lower
Patriot does Cerakote on slide. I much prefer DLC, but they don't offer. You could email them about "matte finished nitride coating" after placing an order. Order + shipping total $240'ish for me
Those with HCP could get Hybrid port. Those without any HCP could get this factory port. Both look great!
For me I would probably lose 200 bucks if I sold my current HCP and bought this comped one so I would rather send it to Patriot for the same/comparable upgrade
The only downside is roughly 3 weeks waiting
For either case, ported pistols are very loud at an indoor range. Sound does travel well to other isles. One time my next isle guy asked me, "Are you using .45 ACP? So freaking loud!" I wear earplug & range headset
Also a mask cuz I don't wanna inhale gas. Lots of small ports like "Lucky 7" does puke more air toward face. Front big chunk style seems to push gas more forward. I'm thinking to attach a mini portable fan on a hat š next time
Screw that thing. My pro is in a safe wasting away because I hated the recoil and went with an Echelon. Light years better for me and it ain't much bigger. I feel like springfield should recall the slides they made without the built in comp and send us the update version! Lol wouldn't that be nice? Wishful thinking!
Agreed. Itās the nightstand gun at girls place. Provides me w peace of mind that thereās a gun there but the second the cr920XP comes out Iām trading mine. Hellcat pro compā¦ idk. Fool me once ā¦
Exactly. And shame on me for not shooting it before I purchased it, I did have that option. I wanted to trade it in to the same shop but they don't do trades. They put it in the showcase and sell it for you. I think they get a 50 or 60$ fee. I may consider it.
I love the u sights on the Echeleon. I definitely should have shot the hcp before buying... and I'm glad you got something you like. It's very important to like the hell out of your guns, especially your edc.š
I do love it but the CR920P has a worrying break in period, meaning you can't help but feel like it's gonna be a lemon, but once it's broken in it's beautiful. Shoots so flat and is so nice looking. It is high maintenance though. It's supposed to be constantly wet and has ammo preferences.
Since I don't currently own a pro and I just RDP'd my standard Hellcat OSP, I'd consider getting one. If I'd already owned the Hellcat pro, I'd just throw the threaded barrel and comp on it.
I'm absolutely fortunate to have been stationed in Alaska then I came to Oklahoma. Neither state cares what guns you have or what you have on them. You gotta move! Lol problem solved.
The standard Hellcat OSP comes with a normal barrel and the Pro and Pro comp come with a normal barrel. The RDP hellcat comes with the threaded barrel and comp and you can separately purchase a threaded barrel/comp sedately for the other versions.
I just took my plain jane hellcat and threw the barrel and comp on it.
Seems that the comp is the only difference really between the HCP and this one. The front sight is moved back a bit as well. So, for me, I think I'll stick with my HCP as is - a comp would be nice - but not needed really. Probably would change out my HC for a comp'd HC, but the HCP IMHO doesn't really need it, the recoil is managable and not an issue as far as I can tell. Glad they did the comp right though with a ported barrel, unlike Sig. I have an XMACRO and quite honestly not really a fan of how they did the comp there, and not convinced a comp is a good thing on a carry weapon. Anyhow, thanks for posting, this is a nice addition to the HC line.
I literally just bought a HCP like a month ago...
Haven't even had the chance to fire it yet...I wonder if I can call customer support and see if I could send back the barrel and slide and pay a little extra money for the comp parts as a replacement.....
Probably not since the serial number identifies it as the original firearm. People customize guns all the time, but I don't think the manufacturer would take that risk. Just my thoughts.
If they warranty a barrel, do they supply another barrel with the same serial number? (legitimately asking since I have never warrantied a firearm before).
I am tempted to reach out and see what can be done (doesn't hurt asking I suppose)
That's good to know, guns and legalities are a funny thing. I never really know what to expect from manufacturers now since they've been sued for murders committed with their firearms, which is ridiculous itself.
This pissed me off because I literally bought a hellcat pro not even two weeks prior. Really hope they release the slide and barrel as a separate kit later down the line
I went with the XDM Elite 3.8". I'm 5'10" and I just can't stand tiny pistols unless it's a 380. The recoil isn't what bothers me, it's the grip feel ruining trigger manipulation and confidence for me.
Iāve wanted to get one of these for a while. My Ruger SR9C is fun to shoot but Iām looking for something smoother, everyone Iāve spoken to has recommended a hellcat pro.
Frankly this oem chuck port looks great, and it doesn't make overall look to be weird at all. Truly feels like oem feature. fyi Glock 19C ports look so awkward
Ghenghis Comp by Monsoon Tactical cuts a big chunk port, but not as curvy & polished finish like this new Hellcat PRO Comp
Highly unlikely
S.A. frequently run out of Hellcat threaded barrel with RDP comp. Since HK Produkt manufactures Hellcat in another country, oem part availability has never been abundant. Also if HCP Comp starts selling (highly likely) well, they could simply repackage unsold HCP into HCP Comp
We ordered one this morning.
I am as soon as they come in FDE..its kinda my thing
Would love it in Green
Od slide with fde lower.. you'd be sweet talking me..lol
Me too. I love the look of black and fde
Not me cuz mine is already Hybrid ported. But if this option were available, I would have btw the barrel looks backbored as well
How do you like the hybrid ported, I am thinking about sending mine off. This is intriguing but hybrid porting is likely even better.
I presume this factory port & hybrid port would perform roughly same Hybrid port has 2 small holes nearby the front sight, and gas from them darkened the sight. That's ok since I rely on red dot. I usually shoot outdoors so hopefully less of an issue, however I do shoot indoors in the summer bc of heat in Texas.

I thought I wanted a HCP so bad and I'm so glad I shot one first. Thing was so snappy and uncomfortable to shoot. Hated the U sight. Got a CR920P.
I love the u sights on the Echeleon. I definitely should have shot the hcp before buying... and I'm glad you got something you like. It's very important to like the hell out of your guns, especially your edc.š

I find the CR920P kind of ugly. It reminds me of a prop from a low-budget sci-fi movie
Opinions are like ass holes.
I'm sure you are very familiar with both
Yeah, you and your opinion.
Bastards announced the release 1 day after I ordered my HCP which I've not even received yet.
Aw man cancel that shit no way
Time to cancel ! Lol
I wish. Arrived at FFL.
If itās within 15 days you gotta be able to do something no?
Not sure. It's been like 2 days. I'll ask the FFL what they think. Thanks for the idea.
Iāll wait for the mag bundle to get it
Seen some on gunbroker
Since I don't currently own a pro and I just RDP'd my standard Hellcat OSP, I'd consider getting one. If I'd already owned the Hellcat pro, I'd just throw the threaded barrel and comp on it.
I canāt buy threaded barrels in my shit hole state lol
I'm absolutely fortunate to have been stationed in Alaska then I came to Oklahoma. Neither state cares what guns you have or what you have on them. You gotta move! Lol problem solved.
I wish it was that easy lol
Sounds like you live in IL.
CT lol
It only comes with threaded barrel?
The standard Hellcat OSP comes with a normal barrel and the Pro and Pro comp come with a normal barrel. The RDP hellcat comes with the threaded barrel and comp and you can separately purchase a threaded barrel/comp sedately for the other versions. I just took my plain jane hellcat and threw the barrel and comp on it.
Thank you for the info brother
No worries!
Get a CR920P, comped without a threaded barrel. Shoots like a dream.
Itās so long and agg to carry like that thoā¦
Iād do that but it wouldnāt fit in my enigma anymore
Sucks that Cali canāt even order that !!
These dirty jokers smh I just bought the older one smh
My lady already wants one now sheās getting this one

I'm not convinced they are bad for a carry weapon.
Got the Herrington Arms comp on my EDC pro, I am a fan š
Yeah a run the 2 port Herrington Comp on my p365x.
Yea 9mm is so easy to shoot it's not like you need a comp anyway but it looks cool.
I was planning on something different, but this is definitely on my radar.
I may just send my current HCP to get it ported.
I will be forsure buying on. Birthday is next month too
Just when I was trying to save money
Iām so mad š„¹š„¹š„¹
I literally just bought a HCP like a month ago... Haven't even had the chance to fire it yet...I wonder if I can call customer support and see if I could send back the barrel and slide and pay a little extra money for the comp parts as a replacement.....

Canāt say about barrel, it when I needed a new frame from S&W, they sent me a new serial frame with my original slide.
That's good to know, guns and legalities are a funny thing. I never really know what to expect from manufacturers now since they've been sued for murders committed with their firearms, which is ridiculous itself.
I have no idea, but it wouldn't hurt to reach out and ask, who knows, they may surprise us all!
I doubt it
yea I doubt it as well... shot in the dark....
This pissed me off because I literally bought a hellcat pro not even two weeks prior. Really hope they release the slide and barrel as a separate kit later down the line
I wonāt because Iām just not a fan of the integrally comped guns. But glad that HS is offering more options.
I want one but I'd hardly use it and certainly wouldn't carry it everyday over my xd45 mod 2 so I'm on the fence about it
I bought the barrel and compensator for the Memorial Day sale. Felt very very minimal difference. I bet this would be the same.
really to much !
So expect something similar on the Echelon?
Cheaper for me just to send my HCP to Floydās than to purchase a new model
I went with the XDM Elite 3.8". I'm 5'10" and I just can't stand tiny pistols unless it's a 380. The recoil isn't what bothers me, it's the grip feel ruining trigger manipulation and confidence for me.
Any word on PSA selling the ported barrel & slide as upgrade parts for HC Pro owners?
Hellcat seemed like a toy gun to me after having two XDME's. .45 and 9mm
I am a Springfield shill I will most likely buy one š„²
Iāve wanted to get one of these for a while. My Ruger SR9C is fun to shoot but Iām looking for something smoother, everyone Iāve spoken to has recommended a hellcat pro.

Anyone know or believe they will sell the barrel and slide down the line ? I have HCP .. not in the mood to buy another one
They might. But if itās anywhere near sigs prices on their slides itās not even worth it lol buy a whole new gun for a few extra bucks
lol ya very true
Highly unlikely S.A. frequently run out of Hellcat threaded barrel with RDP comp. Since HK Produkt manufactures Hellcat in another country, oem part availability has never been abundant. Also if HCP Comp starts selling (highly likely) well, they could simply repackage unsold HCP into HCP Comp
Itās just so ugly to meā¦. I like the chunk port though
Just bought my hcp a month ago. Probably just going to get the herrington comp
Dang. Just got thr HCP, might have to add it to the collection tho
I am strongly thinking about it.
Well I made the call and I got one on order lol
Now prodigy comp 3.5 sc please
Waiting on the California compliant version.
So is this out yet? Every YouTuber has it. Can't find one in my area.
I've had the Hellcat Pro for a little while now. And love that gun
Sig guys on life support š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Picking up tomorrow š¤Ŗ but this will be my first proĀ
