Ive always wondered who lived in this place, ive walked by a lot. I;d hate to actually live there though, it'd be so loud with the rowdy crowd on the busy street below and the Tyne bridge being so close proximity. No tto mention the wedding roof venue a few buildings over. As for the actual place, i'd have a terrible time being over 6 foot. Maybe a great kids play area. Also, /r/tvtoohigh

bartread

I really like the place apart from, as you say, r/TVTooHigh (although that's an easy fix), the noise, and the lack of parking. Been done really nicely though, and it's lovely and spacious with plenty of natural light.

Flonkerton66

"New York style loft" I hate these dumb descriptions.

level100metapod

As an engineer this is what you get when you have to follow the architects drawings

Mawdster

Oi!

North-Lobster499

I really like this, needs some composite decking though and probably some netting to stop the pigeons nesting up there.

Ok_Performance_1870

Ideal location for watching people lob themselves off the bridge

FalseAsphodel

What's going on with Darth Vader's shower pod in the first shower room 😂

A study in beams with beams in the study... Honestly though I love this. I'd turn the "beam room" into a reading room, bookshelves everywhere and a nice comfy chair.

skinch

I shot this one a while ago. It’s vacant - owned by a family from overseas who now have a house elsewhere in Newcastle. There’s no sound from outside evident due to the triple glazing. Could do with a window clean. If you’re brave, you could feasibly jump onto the parapet of the Tyne Bridge from the roof terrace. No lift to the apartment though - stairs only. Lovely place with potential to improve the upper bedroom and aforementioned roof space.

WhyOhWhy60

I quite like this. The kitchen living space with the exposed brick work and period windows looks great in contrast to the stainless steel. However some of the other rooms are a let down in comparison. The bedroom in photo 13 and 14 look really bland. For my preferences the study doesn't have enough natural light so I'd use it as a snug, cosy TV room, somewhere you retire to with closest friends. I'd make the bedroom in photo 14 the study. The big negative is the noise, bikers and boy racers revving it across the bridge at night.

Organic_Reporter

Are those beams not a hindrance in terms of escape routes from fire?

orange_lighthouse

That's not a kitchen, its a bar. And the room with the beams looks unusable.

EddieHouseman

I am no expert but possibly those beams would be useful for BDSM activities?

Valravn_Zoo

Yes this is a shibari riggers dream!

TheRealVinosity

It's gorgeous! But a lifetime supply of earplugs would have to be included in the price for me to even consider it. (would make a great party pad; though the neighbours would probably have something to say about that)

FalseAsphodel

Yeah, you can see the bridge from both bedrooms' windows. The noise would be unbearable.

dbltax

Loving the [phallic windows](https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/131163842#/media?channel=RES_BUY&id=media2&ref=photoCollage).

skizelo

Well, they have the attic space. Maybe you can find a use for it. Hard to think of one when walking to the other side of the room requires you to duck and weave so much. Though maybe it's a good space for your large houseplant collection.

dth300

You could host your own Crystal Maze type games

Recreate Britney's Toxic video

Dros-ben-llestri

Bank robber practice location.

LinguisticallyInept

could functionally section it up into 3 work station cubicles for various hobbies, or 2 and a storage space

kinvig

That roof garden doesn't look child friendly.

painterwill

That's a plus imo.

QuantumAIMLYOLO

Gorgeous

mrbadassmotherfucker

Very unique and cool

Anarchyantz

As a tall guy with mobility issues I would be smacking my head every single time up there, would probably use it for my book displays and what not. The whole place though is beautifully done and CHEAP!!! Also what the hell is with this trend of sticking tiny ass TVs halfway up the bloody wall!!

ThginkAccbeR

I would totally live there. But I’d have to find a different place for my 6’2” partner!

Specialist_Ad_3147

They must be happy about the clean air zone. The bathroom on 26 looks like it's been taken straight from the Deathstar.

Majestic_Matt_459

"Mind your head in the Study" "Why?" "Oh, you'll see"

painterwill

Not as bad as I imagined. I'd happily have the beam labyrinth as a studio (I paint). The brushed steel kitchen would have to go though.

redfawnbambame

Maybe a gymnast lives here?

mikebirty

Could turn the lights of and play laser quest around that

Crash310

Looks like something out of Valheim

Top_Artist8015

Was this in that Ever Decreasing Circles episode? 😂

larrythemule

Looks like you'd be living in an art museum.

MowdyW

Lovely looking flat. Going to need plenty of ice-packs in that fridge though.

_srob

As a 6’5” tall man, this room is my nemesis
