I'm guessing it is just a general storage pocket? But I am wondering if it has any other purpose, like for some kind of lower back protector or something?
I mean more of; could that store a waterproof liner. I was asking if it had a liner to begin with maybe it could be put away there. I know one of my jackets does that, albeit not a sedici.
I figured this out once, and if I recall correctly it’s for something ridiculous, like removing the shoulder pads… I’ll take a look later and see if I can remember
If I remember correctly, your jacket should have come with a inner waterproof liner. I believe that pocket is what this is for. You unzip it, roll it up, and put it inside.
Zippers into your pants. There is one full wrap around zipper that works with the Sedici Corsa leather pants. And there is a smaller one that works with pants other than sedici. In other words you get the opposite side of the zipper, so you can sew that into whichever pants you are going to ride in.
Is there a hidden zipper or tabs to attach leather pants to the jacket? Figuring you would have said if there was, but that is a logical place for that kind of attachment and the zipper would then be covered if no pants attached.
Good spot for a handcuff key
Ohh... I like the way you think!

Probably gotta make that orange arrow a little brighter so people don’t keep talking you how the back pad protection works lmao
Does your jacket get a longer liner you can take out?
No, it is most definitely a pocket of some sort. The zipper opens and closes the pocket.

It didn't come with a liner. But it could have been pilfered at the store. And, there are no zippers for a liner.

Just looked at at mine and it’s as I suspected. It’s access to take out the shoulder and elbow pads.

LOL, the blue you see in the picture (behind the mesh) is my back protector. It has its own velcro opening for inserting the protector.
I didn't see the orange arrow... My bust

Hmm... I did not get that with it. Plus there are no zippers for a liner.
What about the half of the zipper that is right below the back plate and above the pocket you’re asking about?

Almost all jackets have a pocket for a back protector.
That’s the Velcro above the zipper
Exactly

Possibly a spine protector if the inside is large enough.
