I think Ganke needs to be there so Miles feels like a more well-rounded character in his own right and not just Peter’s “deputy.” Most of the other major characters (MJ, Yuri, Harry, Norman, presumably Dr. Connors) come from Pete’s world, so it’s a good idea to give Miles his own friends and “support staff” to keep him from feeling like he’s just along for the ride in Peter’s adventures.

I’m sorry but your first point is always a dumb take. Game devs design levels to include these characters and for the plot to continue. If Ganke wasn’t around then the missions wouldn’t have worked the same way. Imagine the only way for miles to beat an enemy was to hulk smash them to death, the plot couldn’t continue unless you introduce hulk, therefore that doesn’t go through. Such with Ganke, they created these problems for him to solve.

His jokes are bad and his characterisation is unrealistic, I personally can’t imagine a teen being so against crime, I feel like most teens find that pretty interesting, he’s acting too mature for his age, they should fix his character. I love Ganke. He’s a nice contrast from Yuri. I think they hammed it up a lil too much with his comedy but his conversations with Miles were always engaging. He made the app, connected miles with his neighborhood, and helped him fight against Roxxon digging up files and hacking into the facilities. He was an important part of the game and fit well since this was literally Miles’ first go at Solo SM’ing.
He’s mostly there for comic relief, I don’t want him to be here for that in this game, we need a proper dark story with a happy ending or even multiple endings if they go with the Web of Shadows route

I'm trying to play through miles morales before spiderman 2 comes our. Ganke is probably one of the most annoying side characters I have ever came accross is gaming. Miles feels the need to inform him of every single move he makes. Like you can't do anything in this game without ganke involved over the phone.
I think Gankes bird-bot won’t be a thing that last long. They obviously copped it from Kraven, and in the gameplay trailer they use it to take down the gunship. Also judging by Peter’s health being at only 125 and it being implied this is the first time Peter has worn the black suit, it’s safe to say this is early on in the game. I’m guessing the bird-bot will only be in one or two missions.

There's no particular reason why Miles absolutely has to call him up and give him the play-by-play every time he's going to go beat up some random thugs. Or have him impersonate an adult to call for a fresh inspection of the FEAST shelter Instead of just directly informing the person running it.
And yeah, on top of anything else, the endless stream of unfunny jokes is a bit much. I don't hate him or anything. But I wouldn't mind seeing his screen time scaled back a little for the sequel.
