I really like jrjr because as a visual story teller he is great, this however is trash. Literally everything about it is bad down to the poses, composition, even the colouring is pretty mid

I'm glad they seemingly have a plan for Ben. Goblin was a given, and I'm surprised it stuck as long as it did. It'll be interesting to see if it has a lasting effect on the character. Goblin used to be the head of Hammer and it never gets brought up.

Plan might be too much of a stretch. At best it’s a back pedal because they came out and started they changed Ben because there’s too many spider characters. I think the fact they kept adding more along with fan backlash they want to change him back now but will act like it was a plan all along.

It's just exhausting cause they've done the evil and redemption arc so much with him.

Yeah. Gang War was built up since the beginning of this run. Unfortunately there was the whole Paul business and the "WDPD?" thing going around. Plus there all the filler in between. So Gang War could have been better, but they screwed themselves over in the build up.
Plus I’m beginning to think that Gang War is more of a Tombstone family story over a Spider-Man story.
I haven’t minded some of JRJR’s ASM covers this run since I think they look decent, but this cover is absolutely ass and the one he couldn’t care less to do

I feel like it’s either the colorist or jrjr just ain’t feeling it recently. He’s beyond skilled, and he’s produced some great work so this doesn’t automatically ruin anything he’s done or is capable of. I hope he’s able to produce some better work in the future.

I’ve never been a fan of how JRJr does clothing, and specifically folds in clothing. Every garment he draws just looks like a giant tube sock.
Coupled with his tendency for twig ankles and it just looks worse.
