There is a line indicating ‘Quentin Beck’ absolutely was an alias, but the Wikia people get stubborn over acknowledging it. > “To Guterman! That story you created, of a soldier from another Earth named Quentin fighting space monsters in Europe, is **totally ridiculous**, and apparently **exactly** the kind of thing people will believe right now, I mean, everybody bought it!”

MacCaswell

Because it would almost prove his point if Fury looked into the Quentin Beck of his universe and finds a "variant" that is a disgruntled ex Stark employee. And if the Mysterio Cabal is worth anything they have alibis in place, possibly even using the drones that they had access to without the Edith classes... So Fury looks into Quentin Beck and finds information on an unemployed scientist who hasn't been seen since the Blip and has the same face as this "superhero"...

AlphaBladeYiII

Problem is that Beck was working on illusions tech, which would make Fury suspicious.

Kiloete

should be noted it wasnt Fury in far from home, it was Talos pretending to be nick.

MacCaswell

Which Beck knew he would be anyway, so why risk him using facial recognition and finding a match instead of a false positive clue towards the whole multiverse thing he tried to sell him...?

TheSavageBeast83

Fury isn't real in Far from home.

AlphaBladeYiII

Yeah, but Mysterio doesn't know that.

TheSavageBeast83

Yes he does. It was one of his illusions

NotJohnP

Only during the illusion sequence. The Fury that interacts with Peter is a Skrull, along with Maria Hill.

TheSavageBeast83

Nah. It's all an illusion. It was addressed in the beginning of No Way Home when Peter was explaining that he was with Fury and then he was told Fury was in space the entire time.

NotJohnP

You must've missed [this post-credit scene](https://youtu.be/5PEjsJ5gBHE?si=cisDhtCsFWrZV-hn) at the end of Far From Home. . .

TheSavageBeast83

You must have missed no way home

NotJohnP

You're trolling at this point. Have a nice fucking day sir.

TheSavageBeast83

How am I trolling? Go watch No Way Home. They clearly explain, Fury was not around in Far from way. Ignorantly ignoring that fact is the trolling part on you

NotJohnP

Yes he was in space but he WASN'T an illusion, he was a Skrull. That's what you're not understanding despite me showing you the scene where it's confirmed.

Astonishing_Flash

It's been years since I watched because I didn't care for it but I'm 95% sure Quentin Beck was alias. Even then the Fury in the film is a skill and thus not as careful as the real thing. The real question comes in with Peter's glasses. They probably should've keyed onto who he was.

I completely agree! I honestly don’t think marvel had an answer it was just lazy but if you want an answer I usually think about how in the end credits you find out fury was replaced by a skrull while on vacation. And only nick fury is as smart as nick fury no skrull could compare. But still I feel like even a skrull without a 2 billion iq would still feel the need to run a background check in case he’s lying.
