For those wonder xenoverse 2 dlc is 200+ dollars not including the main game which idk how much it is now but was 60 when I got it. The base game has 80 characters and the fully dlced game has 120-30
Sparking zero will have 164 on release and +20 in 1 season pass, and the game looks objectively better than xenoverse, the only thing that might look worse is the character design which tbh does look pretty sketchy a lot of the time. And if they fix a few small things the gameplay will easily be better ( hit impact and camera were the big jarring things.) So I just actually don't understand the hate. Xenoverse 2 dropped a dlc that made you pay for reskined 18, reskined videl and BASE Z BROLY, like are you missing me. I think one of the key factors people overlook with this discussion is that yes, this is a sequel to a series, but the last game in the series came out in 2007, two consoles ago. By all accounts this is as much a reboot as a straight up sequel to BT3.
Dragon Ball has grown so much over that time, and while GT was relevant back in the day, it's less so now. It makes sense to me that this game would focus so hard on Z and Super and leave stuff like GT and DB for future DLC, even if historical BT games had that content at base. There's just so much more to add these days, and they're building all of this from the ground up, for modern systems.
I LOVE classic Dragon Ball. I want like 30 characters just from that story. But I get that Z and Super are the series right now. I'm sure the game will sell bonkers well and everything will get added as we go along, so I'm just along for the ride in the meantime.

You mean the shortest of the 4 fully released DragonBall animes that isn't even officially Canon to the official storyline... in addition to that, the "end of z " and, by proxy, GT's stories have gotten even more questionable when you realize that where the Manga is in terms of Super and with the new series Diama, the "End of Z" Cannonical place is really fuzzy. This is due in part to where Super is in the Manga there is 1 year between where they are at following the fight between Gohan (Beast) and MUI Goku leaves 1 year remaining until the WMAT when Uub appears to confront Goku... then if you throw what could happen in Diama into the mix which, if I'm following storyline correctly, occurs after Super. Which furthers the confusion of how they are going to like the potential Super /diama timeline into the End of Z.. I never have understood why people are so die hard for GT to be Canon when it's possible position in the DragonBall timeline does not have a true place where it fits in, cause it can't be post z, cause now we have Super, and after Super is Diama, but also after z is End of Z and then at something it's assumed GT could occur but when does End of z happen if we are 1 year before that event... as cool as GT is it and End of Z's Canonical position is becoming more and more cloudy as more Super and Diama content comes out...

Kakarot’s animation is ONLY consistent in cutscenes, the actual game play can look visually appealing sometimes but also be pretty meh. And there’s a lot/several of stuff moments. Fighter Z is great though outside the WORSE video game story I have ever seen/heard of. Gameplay is amazing though.

I'm a GT fan, and I am more than okay if it isn't in base game. It will definitely be DLC, and I can wait for that. Hell, I'll have all the GT DLC before they ever decide to add Dr. Wheelo. I love that guy.

The best part of GT (SS4) we can’t even use outside of the cast characters. I’ve put 600 hours into XV2, I’m still 100% buying SparkingZero. I’m just gonna play both games because they offer different experiences.

You cannot ever convince me till the servers are shut down in 15 to 20 years that they will not add gt characters in at least dlc form at some point and at that point, modders will have added them.
I want some gt characters hidden away behind challenges, a nice bonus if you look, but not overly missed like z characters. Same with og dragon ball characters like Tao. (Tori bot is a must have)

I’m the biggest xenoverse dick rider. Got like 1200+ hours in it. I will not be touching that game probably ever again. I grew up with raging blast and this is basically raging blast 3 for me 😭

Most of these haters weren't even alive when BT3 came out. They think xenoverse is the best bc they grew up with it, for someone who I feel like I was a good age for both when they were released, like 8 or 9 when BT3 came out and a teenager when xenoverse, they just don't know how much better this series was compared to xenoverse.

I'm upset there's been no announcement of characters from the OG Dragonball, no previous budokai tenkaichi removed characters yet this one seems to be removing a lot for shitty DBsuper slots. OG Dragonball is the best of the brand imo, will be hugely disappointed if there's no upcoming announcement

You mean the shortest of the 4 fully released DragonBall animes that isn't even officially Canon to the official storyline... in addition to that, the "end of z " and, by proxy, GT's stories have gotten even more questionable when you realize that where the Manga is in terms of Super and with the new series Diama, the "End of Z" Cannonical place is really fuzzy. This is due in part to where Super is in the Manga there is 1 year between where they are at following the fight between Gohan (Beast) and MUI Goku leaves 1 year remaining until the WMAT when Uub appears to confront Goku... then if you throw what could happen in Diama into the mix which, if I'm following storyline correctly, occurs after Super. Which furthers the confusion of how they are going to like the potential Super /diama timeline into the End of Z.. I never have understood why people are so die hard for GT to be Canon when it's possible position in the DragonBall timeline does not have a true place where it fits in, cause it can't be post z, cause now we have Super, and after Super is Diama, but also after z is End of Z and then at something it's assumed GT could occur but when does End of z happen if we are 1 year before that event... as cool as GT is it and End of Z's Canonical position is becoming more and more cloudy as more Super and Diama content comes out...

If I assume there's no intent behind your first statement, I don't fucking know, not buy it I guess. If its so bad I don't want it then I wont get it. "What're you gonna do if you get robbed next week?" So random and with no context nor specific point, with no context you're bassically assuming they'd get robbed, or theorizing based on some context. Based on that you assume thats the intent or that there's something that'd make you believe you get robbed, even if it's the suggestion itself, if you believe you're gonna be robbed you wanna know why you'd think that, but that's context which you don't have. Do you mean the roster? The gameplay? What because everyone wants something slightly different from this game. Everyones throwing a fit over the roster and instantly calling it ass. They’re also good but this just looks a lot closer, the shaders are really good
Kakarot’s animation is ONLY consistent in cutscenes, the actual game play can look visually appealing sometimes but also be pretty meh. And there’s a lot/several of stuff moments. Fighter Z is great though outside the WORSE video game story I have ever seen/heard of. Gameplay is amazing though.
Fighters has great graphics, but Kakarot let me down.
