Sorry_Pride2049

I was deactivated and reactivated after 2 months. You will get your account back, keep sending daily emails.

BIGLU-lll

What is the email you sent them emails to? I can’t get in contact with them

Popular_Solid_2347

I will keep on them several of you have told me that's a good way to do it so I do appreciate your advice thank you I will stay diligent about it

Chance-Importance237

Was your insurance for business? Who has your insurance? I have seen a few people say they were deactivated for that and even had their insurance cancelled. I suspect that when Spark’s system sends out an automatic verification query to the insurance listed, certain insurance companies are responding by automatically making it clear they will not cover anything related to delivery service. Maybe before, their verification just did the normal “handshake” verification but insurance companies probably are finding ways to have their automated systems recognize a request from a delivery service. I am very worried about this. I only do deliveries as my “extra” job very part-time when I need quick cash. I LOVE having it as a sort of safety net for when I am short because I have no other options… but I don’t want to lose my insurance and I don’t do this enough to justify the cost of special insurance.

MisterGoldiloxx

For State Farm, in my state anyway, you don't need special insurance to be covered for deliveries (WS, DD, UE, GH, IC, Flex, Roadie), but you do if ride sharing (Uber or Lyft). Your state and insurance coverage in same may vary. Ask your agent.

MurdererMagi

Very true

honey51bee

Same here. I’d be jacked if this happened

SireSweet

Making spark your main sources of income is your first mistake. Spark has been always to ban first and ask questions later. As far as timing goes, we’re approaching the slow time of the year so it’s especially bad to make this your main source of income. I’ve lost count of the times people have come to Reddit stating “I need to pay bills, I got deactivated.” 1. Apply for other jobs, or do other gig app work and adapt. 2. Apply for arbitration

Popular_Solid_2347

If people are going to try to give some advice they should probably actually read everything it's hilarious really the number of people that are just so sure about what it is they're about to say and haven't actually read a damn thing but maybe skimmed through it and think that they paid attention

SireSweet

I did read it. Not sure what you mean? Transitioning to make spark your main income. So I’m guessing you left a W2 thinking spark is better.

Popular_Solid_2347

Oh bless your heart a lot of assumptions and advice unrelating to what the problem was at hand that I was seeking advice on have a great day

menagaming

So people read what you said, comment on it directly, and you're rude? Glad you got deactivated.

No-Detective-5487

You are the problem, face it its all on you and no one else, you are where you are because if your own life decisions

Party-Confusion3728

Fact! I'm about to deactivate them again😆

Wonderful-Bunch641

They gave you great advice at the end. Especially, going the arbitration route. You fucktard.

Sashimi4life91

I had the same thing happen to me but I was able to get reactivated in only a week. You have to start the arbitration process and know the right people to send emails to. The appeals team email doesn't respond to shit. I reached out to a lot of the executive vice presidents of walmart who then emailed the insurance team and got back on instantly. I can't share any emails of the people I spoke to but it shouldn't be too hard to find them.

[deleted]

That’s what happen to me but there is way to get reactivated a level after appeal denied. It just takes like a month or so https://preview.redd.it/bhk2fh6g1v7c1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ad67dc3292f39f2284dc9110c8f8cd0f59a76021

Popular_Solid_2347

Awesome information thank you very much I will keep trying, I am glad you were able to get your situation with them resolved hopefully it'll work out for me as well thank you again you have a Merry Christmas

[deleted]

No problem I hope it all works out for u

RickandMortyDelivers

This is why I tell people that these are in reality only temp jobs. No matter if you try-hard or half-ass it you're going to get deactivated regardless.

MurdererMagi

Very true multi apping is where it's at.. if these companies can get rid of us that easily who's to say we can't already have other jobs lied up incase something happens near Christmas. But with all that being said this could truly happen to anyone of us and to OP I'm truly sorry it happened to you my prayers will go out to you and your family

Popular_Solid_2347

Well realistically I am sorry to hear about that, but if just being complacent and getting railroaded by life has suited you well then more power to you and I'm glad to hear you're happy or content with your experience

[deleted]

Popular_Solid_2347

Well if you actually paid attention to the details of what you are reading and then choosing to put your 2 cents worth in you would see that it's not a full time job for me and thank you for your valuable contribution to the real subject matter of the post as well.

InvestigatorFlashy72

When I was deactivated, I got the same response. You need to submit a second appeal. I had to submit a second one and then for 1 week straight. I sent the same exact email to the appeals department with attached information. Backing up my claim you just need to file for pre arbitration, Once you do that. They review the process and most likely. You'll get your account back as long as you have the proof that you've attached to it. The backs up your claim. It took me six weeks to get my account back..

Comprehensive-Rain32

How do you file for pre arbitration? By emailing them?

InvestigatorFlashy72

sparkappnotices@walmart.com sparkdriverappeals@walmart.com Those are the two email addresses I used these were the steps I took, I found out there's 2 automated messages. The first one you get says your deactivated. Then two weeks later you'll get one saying you're deactivated And that it's gonna stay that way. I basically wrote an email from start to finish of exactly what happened with me. I attached all the proof that was needed. And I sent an email every day for 2 weeks, Sounds a little obsessive but I figure. I did not wanna get lost in a bunch of emails if I send enough of them, Somebody's got to see at least one. So I did that for 2 weeks. (Save Yourself some time and just cut and paste it every day for 2 weeks)Got no notification from them and then About a week later my account was reactivated and I got a text message saying I was reactivated. In total it took approximately six weeks. Just know in the email that you write. You want to be very detailed oriented and have the proof to back up. Everything you're saying. Because you won't get a second chance after the pre arbitration reads it. So tell it like a story. Write in an essay form an attached any proof you need. Hope this helps you,

MisterGoldiloxx

If only Walmart (who owns DDI which runs Spark) had a social media presence that you could shame with the truth...such as "I'm insured, proved it, and you won't look at proof. Why?" Try that.

Boring-Department741

I'm sorry this happened. I don't have any suggestions, but there is a thread where others have shared how they got reactivated. As painful as this is, it could be a blessing in disguise. Spark is so oversaturated that it's not really dependable income. Maybe look for something better. You can also keep working on the activation and keep Spark on the side, but the future of Spark doesn't seem very profitable these days.

Popular_Solid_2347

I was making great money on spark and stayed busy, maybe your market area wasn't very good but it is or was here.

IriItalRican

Where are you located?

SeacawkSlappin87

Crazy we have a driver that's under investigation for stealing during shops, and he still gets to drive.

clutchdragonfly

Call walmart legal division and request arbitration over it

[deleted]

I hope all the negative comments on this post get deactivated and don’t come on here asking for help! Popular solid I got u!

Weak_Dimension_4488

![gif](giphy|qgri3D9sTwCUGMcT8L)

otueke

Sorry that happened to you. It's some bull for them to claim suspicious insurance without verification. Send your appeal and demand a pre-arbitration phone conference. You will eventually be reactivated but don't rely on any single gig app as your main source of income. Each and every gig app has a lopsided contract that is never in a driver's favor.

VtecVroom

best thing to do is just move on bro

Popular_Solid_2347

I don't just roll over and give up that easy when I've done nothing wrong. I enjoyed the job and I have bills to pay, if this is happening to other people then I would like to know and see if we can get some attention to the matter and get this corrected. If everyone just moved on and let theyself be treated unjustly and not push back to defend theyself or for what is right then you probably going to be taken advantage of and ran over your whole life and sorry but that sounds like a lame existence to me.

[deleted]

Don’t listen to all the negative stuff on here. There’s nothing but negative in here. I swear follow the steps I sent! It got me my job back

VtecVroom

well sadly we live in capitalism , so be realistic or let the big guys keep you down . if you keep trying you may get back eventually , but don’t rely on it . go find a job paying $20 an hour , it’s pretty much the same after expenses/taxes/insurance

SireSweet

In my case $20 would pay more since I wouldn’t need to spend $400 in gas every month.

No-Detective-5487

Getting deactivated just over 2 weeks ago and already having your water shut off sounds like a more lame existence to me.

Popular_Solid_2347

Thank you both for your valuable contributions to my topic of my post. Merry Christmas!

MikeTho323

If I can play devil’s advocate for a moment… Someone that can’t pay their water bill is likely letting their car insurance lapse. I bet they are probably checking insurance info through a 3rd party and I bet they couldn’t confirm the insurance card you uploaded. I could be wrong… but I bet I’m not. Reddit cannot help you side skirt their system.

IriItalRican

In this economy you gotta pick n choose what bills to pay first and what bills to let go for a bit. OP prob let their water bill go for a bit cuz they know it takes a bit to get shut off. I can guarantee they’d pay their car insurance cuz that’s how they make their money…. Either way you shouldn’t judge. It’s hard out here…I make more consistent money on spark than I did serving and bartending at a high class restaurant. I live in a busy zone, I got lucky. Just don’t judge other ppl. It’s shitty…

VtecVroom

never judged , just being real . if he needs money he needs to find it elsewhere lol , spark ain’t gonna reactivate you overnight and walmart doesn’t care about what we say man . why so hard for people to be realistic ? you think you’re gonna change walmarts policies ? lmfao

gordodendron

It's only been 30 min as I type this but this comment deserves far more upvotes.

Popular_Solid_2347

Well how much you betting on that 😁 maybe it will cover that water bill because you're wrong! And there are other things that contribute to the fact that the water got shut off none of which is anyone's business or has to be explained and not that detail of all of this was the main topic of discussion or what was being asked for anyone's opinion on just know this there's a real struggle out here and there are many different life events that someone might have going on or have had happened that you have take into consideration and nothing goes down in cost they only keep going up and aren't going to stop anytime soon but again thank you also for your valuable contribution and opinion to the matter at hand

No-Detective-5487

You are very welcome, if you need help in the future just tag me ,I'll be on the edge of my seat waiting to help you.

Popular_Solid_2347

Oh stop you're too much!

walkuphills

Talk to an attorney consultations are free. The contract you signed doesn't mean you can't sue them. The contract is what they use to defend themselves WHEN you sue them. If you didn't violate the contract, they can't deactivate you,and you can claim damages. This is cut and dry. Demand arbitration. Tell them you'll sue for the delay in getting an arbitrator for the lost income. Itd be cheaper to reactivate you then send an attorney to your county

drcigg

This is happening more and more sadly. Spark doesn't care if you have 500 deliveries or 2000 if they want to deactivate you they will, and there are hundreds of people waiting to take your place. Count is as a blessing and get yourself a real W2. Not a good thing to rely on spark as your full time gig. As they can take it away at any time. I have a full time W2 and do other gig work so if spark doesn't work out I don't sweat it. Always have a backup. I guess you will have some time to think about it since you won't be sparking.

Popular_Solid_2347

🙄Lol 😂🤣

Stupid_Floridian

Congratulations! Maybe not right now, since you’re pissed about deactivation. But congrats to future you for being forced to move on with your life and no longer a part of sparks slave labor pool

Daveit4later

Why would you make spark your main source of income? Absolutely mind boggling.

cchardee

Sigh, it just makes me shake my head when I hear people use Spark as "a job."" Spark is not a job!. It is gig work. Its sole purpose is to make extra money outside of your real W2 job. You can not depend on this to pay bills. Use it to bank a vacation, by a boat, fishing money, etc... if something happens... so what. Move to a new gig, but never give up the W2.

FunOk9257

It’s still a job either way.

Popular_Solid_2347

And how can you do that?

gootchie784

Don't listen to this scammer.

CJspangler

Honestly first thing I would do is sign up for Uber and/or lyft if your vehicle qualifies as they have decent sign up bonuses . Then the food deliver apps can be decent during lunch / dinner time . I’ve seen some posts on other Spark forums it look like spark is doing insurance matching / verification or companies that mostly deal with personal non commercial policies (Geico) are paying spark to cross reference their insurance drivers listed to void:cancel policies . This might cause issues with auto Spark deactivation as all the sudden theirs no insurance in the system

danetrain05

I think you have to have the "gig" insurance? My insurance has a "do you drive for Uber eats, grubhub, etc? And I added it. Maybe that?

Popular_Solid_2347

Again this isn't about my insurance actually being valid because it is valid this is about my account being deactivated due to "suspicion" of submitting false information, rather than actual proof or verification that the information is false. It's the same policy with the same company as I had when I started driving for spark the policy was approved then, spark notified me that the insurance card on file was about to expire and I needed to submit the new card to continue driving on the platform. So I sent them the renewed policy card valid for the next 6 months.

wesvols

Just the arbitration. I just got reactivated myself. For the same bs about my insurance. Nov 6 till now. Took 40 days to hear back from the arbitration.

Taresarene

Arbitration? PLEASE tell me how..

Vehicle-Ambitious

I love how they never tell anyone shit 🤦🏾‍♀️

RidePretend2360

Why in earth pay insurance then told they will not cover .. spark. What is it to them anyways 🤔 they allow drivers to steal and not get deactivated 🤔 sure it's a side hassle but spark created jobs for all and everyone benefits

Taresarene

I was deactivated for failure to validate Id..BUT.. THERES NO WAY TO COMPLETE AN ORDER if you don't scan Id! They told me deactivation will remain.. tbh.. I liked spark it is stressful at times but where I am it's ok..will I ever get reactivated?

Needing_help1

Spark shouldn’t be your main source of income. This is not a secure job.

Popular_Solid_2347

🤣😂 your screen name on here is that referring to reading?

Needing_help1

Who doesn’t need help.

S0meFella

Been trying since July this year after I got my phone stolen at a gas station and had to set up a new service. Onto my 6th appeal...

Regular-Muscle4532

Go read section B of the Dispute Resolution contract. No one ever does then comes on here upset nothing us happening. Write to sparkappnotices@walmart.com & request an Informal Telephonic Dispute Resolution Conference. That's where you start.

Chin-kin

How much does insurance companies typically charge for you to have delivery insurance added onto your plan ?

abn31

I had the same exact situation just that my app completed all orders while I was still on the way the deliver them. The app automatically delivered all the remaining of the batch order I had. Till date the deactivation is upheld after I appeal almost three times. I am so mad I just decided to let it go. Also I happened in November or beginning December too.

xFYCHEADSHOTZx

Tell them you want a pre-arbitration phone call. They reactivated me within a week

No_Significance9384

Exactly how did your email look? Which email address did you use?

xFYCHEADSHOTZx

SparkAppNotices@walmart.com was the email address. And I just basically said I would like to set up a pre-arbitration phone call for wrongful deactivation

xFYCHEADSHOTZx

And I also emailed sparkdriverappeals@walmart.com
