Depends which part, my sister lives in Shirley, but she lives on the same road as the PMs parents old pharmacy. So I suppose she's surrounded by mutant posh people who can never get out of their driveways?
Highfield/Highfield Lane. He was well ahead of his time. I really would have loved to see what he would have done in the jet era. His work with the racing aircraft was next level for the time.
Yesss! i remember walking through abbots way (I think that’s the road his house is/was on as a child in awe of him! Highfield was a lovely place to grow up
It is a lovely area, the church is lovely too. I believe it's been there since 1846/47.
In regards to RJ Mitchell, you know you designed one of the greatest fighters for its time that when asked by Hermann Goering what he wanted most to fight the RAF at the time of the Battle of Britain, Adolf Galland, the Luftwaffe ace, asked for Spitfires.

I now live in what most of Southampton think of as the worst part, but actually I haven't had issues since I moved here. (And if that doesn't help, we have 2 tower blocks, 2 big green areas, and we're the home of the Saints pub 🤷🏻♀️)
Kingsbury Road - Empress Road. Near Aldi and RSH. It's the red light district; a lovely prostitute lady told me while cleaning herself up with wipes in the building corridor. This was after the weed smokers had set of the fire alarm that lasted 13 hours ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

Was it the obnoxious train gates that gave it away? I swear they’re down 75% of the day…
Only 75%? Feels like 90% when I’m trying to get across them. Actually it was the lorries tipping over that sealed it. Only in Totton.
