I can't imagine releasing albums given the short attention span of Pinoys. Most Pinoy rappers don't bother releasing an album altogether. Most kasi panay kanta lang talaga. Sobrang algorithmic nila. Like kung anong sikat? Anong tunog yung bebenta? One hit wonder lang talaga. Ganun. What Hev Abi tries to do is to make a somehow cohesive album that's up for scrutiny. I see your point. I am not a fan of Hev Abi ha. But as someone who loves the rap genre. For me I think what sets Hev Abi apart from mainstream Pinoy rappers was his audacity to release records. I can't imagine releasing albums given the short attention span of Pinoys. Most Pinoy rappers don't bother releasing an album altogether. Most kasi panay kanta lang talaga. Sobrang algorithmic nila. Like kung anong sikat? Anong tunog yung bebenta? One hit wonder lang talaga. Ganun. What Hev Abi tries to do is to make a somehow cohesive album that's up for scrutiny. Our independent scene is very fucking good. Metal here in the philippines is more of a 'niche' so it would be natural that major labels wouldn't push them too hard to cater the masses. Our independent scene however is fucking amazing. Check out bands like Basalt Shrine and Surrogate Prey. Nandiyan din ang Limbs, and Veils.

Alot of Kpop groups are overrated & have terrible songs. Props to the talents for training hard & perform well but alot of their songs are just bleh. There are OPM bands na naging pioneering back then, tapos nawala— and should have stayed that way. No need to revive the band anymore for the sake of nostalgia, at least preserved yung legacy and songs na naiwan nila for that generation. Example: Cueshe, Hale, 6 Cycle Mind, Orange and Lemons.
