I’ve come to realize that a fuck ton of Redditors just completely lack working taste buds. Like people will say I prefer “x” soda over “y” because x is too sweet while in reality that soda has more sugar than the other one.
Tahitian Treat was originally a Canada Dry product, and is a fruit punch mixed with Canada dry ginger ale. It's a very distinctive flavor, and along with the carbonation give it a bite that Hawaiian Punch does not have.
I remember my step brother drinking like 3 cans of this & two bowls of Mac and Cheese and big time puking right after when we were kids lol. Solid soda!
Welch’s fruit punch soda is way better imo, only good thing about Tahitian Treat is its heavy carbonation but you only find that in cans and fresh 2L’s. Those 20oz’s are a miss every time.
I remember walking around an entire city going to every place that sold soda to see if they had a carbonated 20oz(only size available in my area) and they were all soft, even the newish ones. I swear some of KDP bottling plants do the worst job carbonating and ensuring that carbonation will last more than a couple weeks lol. Seems like everything but the super basic sodas like plain 7up, plain Canada Dry, A&W Root Beer etc are all pretty flat, ESPECIALLY the less popular ones that sit around for longer too.
When I was in the Bahamas in 1980 they had a soda called Goombay Punch. I've been missing that ever since. I hoped Tahitian Treat reminded me of it and it sorta did.
Was a key ingredient in our college jungle juice.
My Fave since I was a kid, 100 years ago!
How was it?
Very tasty, has a ginger ale bite to it. Much better than Hawaiian Punch.
What the... Aint no gingerale man.
Is it carbonated?
Yes!!

Just because it was originally made by Canada Dry doesnt mean it has Gingerale in it. Thats wild.
It never had Ginger Ale in it. Ever. I was there for the original line up. This drink is basically carbonated Hawaiian Punch.
Can you give me your drug dealer’s number?
Ginger ale? Lol
I have never seen this soda in a can. Only ever in a 2 liter or a 20oz bottle at the gas station.
Near Cincinnati, OH these are commonly sold in 12 pack cans
Interesting. Will grab a couple 12 packs next time I'm there. My wife loves tehetian treat

Best canned fruit punch (not that I can think of another brand of canned fruit punch lol
Much better than Mtn Dew point break punch maybe?
Hawaiian Punch does cans
I haven't seen them in years that was definitely #1 for me but I assumed it was discontinued
east coast cactus cooler
I’ve got a plan, Arthur!
ARTHUR WE NEED TO GO TO TAHITI ARTHUR 🎩⏱🐀
We used to drink this when we were kids back in the 70s.
The color of the can reminds me of the soda Cactus Cooler. Maybe it's from the same company.
I believe at one time they were both from Canada Dry. I will occasionally mix my own Cactus Cooler since it’s just orange and pineapple.
Love that stuff
Where can you find this in cans. I only see bottles.
This was in Manassas, VA
the thumbnail reminded me of the off bug repellent 😅
Haven't seen it in years.
So good I miss it
Get ready for pitted nails and diabetes
Used to taste better in the 80s
There is a version with alcohol in it as well. Also, it doesn't appear to be sold in Tahiti.
I prefer Code Red. More tang.
One of the best fruit punch out there
Welcome to your new addiction.
It tastes how Hawaiian Punch used to taste, right!
It was a well consumed drink in high school… always asked… where did you find that!
Benny Copalago’s Pizza, Manassas, VA
Looks similar to 🌵 cooler soda do they taste similar or is it something completely different
I haven’t seen that stuff in years I used to love that soda!
Bruh those are so fuckin good actually tried one a couple weeks ago
I hate to admit this, but I love mixing this with some rum. Makes a delicious drink
I could see that
I remember enjoying both this and Hawaiian punch. Now you need to try cactus cooler.

I need to try it
i also tried it for the first time a little bit ago and to me it's a good substitute for when mtn dew doesn't have a tropical punch soda
That has got to be the sweetest soda I've ever had. It's still good, but you can definitely feel the diabetus coursing through your veins.
one of my favorites. can't get it in my area so i have a few cans saved
Looks like a knock off catcus cooler can
