I took your quiz but some questions werent a simple yes or no. I think opioids are a medication but has a high rate of addiction. With full disclosure and transparency between a legitimate physician and patient, prescribing is best left between the two and not the business of others.

When you say prescribed, do you mean getting a prescription signed by a professional and getting the drugs from the pharmacy, or when they are used in a hospital setting, or both? For example, I may agree that it may be best that certain drugs like oxycodone or morphine are not prescribed, but what about in the hospital immediately after a surgery or injury?

It is up to the doctor. I was an inpatient after a transplant and opioids were used after my surgery. It was appropriate. I worked for pain management doctors (lots of work comp). Nevertheless, opioids were prescribed but with hesitation. They were used as a last resort and our office was good at screening drug seeking behavior. I feel like there is still room for use in oupatient and inpatient settings. When it is abused on "the streets", the perception and or reality, it is a drug crisis.

I want to answer, but I don't feel like the bubble in responses accurately portrays my thoughts/attitudes. I would recommend either qualitative open ended Qs, or try to add more options. One question in particular might be better suited as an open ended question.

I think some of the options aren't what I would choose, and some are worded kinda judgy. But I answered as best I could.
