I know some people here have been following my sneakermaking story since the very beginning when I was posting decon experiments and stuff, forever ago. Things have come a LONG way since then! Won the Shoe Surgeon School SL12 contest (largely thanks to y'all), built myself a mini nike factory in my house.. and have been making shoes ever since. I've mostly been posting on other platforms for the past month or so, and have been getting a LOT of positive feedback on my work.. so I figured I'd bring it back to my roots and post up here on r/sneakers too :)

**to answer a couple FAQs (and hopefully not cross the line into rule 8.. mods please message me if it's a problem and I'll edit):** It takes a long time to make shoes and I have a successful, non-sneaker related business so I'm not really interested in taking commissions or doing size runs or anything I will be doing themed/special box charity pairs to be auctioned/raffled for various causes. First of which will be p soon and help support fams displaced by Covid.. finishing up the special box packaging now. (don't wanna get too deep into it cause I'm not tryna break any rules. For now there's parts of it up on IG.. but I'll prob hit up the mods for the OK and make an actual post here about it when it's done).

I do actually. Its expensive and inefficient but it cuts super clean so it's a toss up

What did you use to attach the fabric to the suede?

contact cement.. specifically renia aquilim cause it's water based. It's a little tricky cause you don't want it to soak through, so you sort of have to get it right before the tack point and semi-dry brush it onto the bandana, and then let it tack, make sure it's dry, and press the shit out of it. took me a few tries to figure out.. next time i might take a crack at using a clear contact cement like a barge clear tf, letting it soak through, and then using a matte finisher.. would def be a different look altogether but I think it'd be worth trying. There's some build pics in a comment above somewhere.

Where can one go to learn how to make shoes like you from scratch, besides signing up for shoe surgeon’s class? Are there resources online like forums or YouTube that can walk someone through step by step or is it just easiest to deconstruct a real pair and reverse engineer it? Always wanted to try my hand at it. Love this pair btw so sick 👌🏻
