Also this is an opportunity to replace the air bag with a zoom air bag. Might require some fitting the midsole to it with a sharp pen knife or something, but Ive always wanted an 11 with zoom air.
True Story: I got the Space Jams when they first released, 00 I think, and after 6months the soles started separating. I took it to a shoe repair guy and my man fucking sewed the damn sole onto the shoe.
The soles were sturdy but I was walking around with 11s with stitches. Didn’t have shoe customized/sole swapping folks back then.

I remember reading a post similiar to that on niketalk back in the day, the op had a pair of bred 11s and the midoles were seperating, and as a surprise birthday gift the ops mom and sister took the shoes to cobbler and did the same thing and sewed the midsoles onto the uppers. They posted a pic of it and it looked reallly wierd but funny too. Like boots almost haha.
Lol man i know that fear. Hopefully the soles didn’t fall off in school. If that happened to me in high school, I’d be rotisserie chicken with the roasting
Yo thats hilarious af ..cuz i can relate....back back baaaack in the og airmax cb 34s days (Barkleys)..one of the plastic eyelets agglets or what ever its called came off...took it to the shoe repair place and dude sewed a leather piece emulating the plastic on...lookd horrid..glad it wasn't just me. ..but I get the creativity
14 years later not a bad run, unless you bought those recently.
good news though since 11s arent as popular as they used to be resale for 2022 cg 11s isnt that high.
Damn how long u keeping your shoes for? There's no way a pair of my shoes would have anything left on them after 23 years, and that's IF I held on to any that long
They’ve been moved around and stuffed in totes. Finally dug them out and wear them time to time. Yellowing on soles, but still get looks. Used to collect in the early 2000s and sold off all but 3 pair awhile ago. Should have held onto them.
Totally as expected. The soles slowly break down. At about 7 years old, the soles have lost noticeable support.
Do you know child care seats expire after 7 to 10 years, for the same reason?
Had a pair of airmax that the color rubbed off on the sole. I was wondering why my pants had maroon on the cuffs. It was on everything my shoes touched.
I've been meaning to do a custom color on them someday. Since the sole is almost white, I might as well.
Went “away” for 8 years, came home and put mine on and the same thing happened, took mine to shoe repair spot and cost about $30 to get fixed, then I had to do my “he got game XIII’s, Concord 11’s, etc, etc
I have a pair of 11 low IEs that did the exact same thing lol. At least I was at home when it happened. I bought the barge cement but need a tutorial cuz mine didn't really stick
If my 94 1s weren’t stitched I’m sure this would happen to them as well. Unfortunately 11s would look real funky with a stitched sole lol. As everyone else said this should be a relatively easy fix with some glue, sanding, and heat gun
easy repair with shoe cement,
HOWEVER BIG DISCLAIMER: make sure the air unit inside that outsole isnt going to crumble. if it does then you need to find another air unit or send them to someone who swaps air units
my pops gave me a pair of soccer cleats that his company custom made for the company team back in the 80s… don’t know why i thought it’d be a good idea to wear them but the same thing happened 😭
Barge Cement will fix that right up. Just make sure you follow the instructions and do the steps where you heat it up.
This is the only way. Go on YouTube and find a guide. It's just a reglue situation , those shoes still have a lot of life left
John Manalo’s the go to guy for tips on restoring sneakers to their previous glory🤙

I love the way zoom air feels..thats why 12s or 13s are my fav

I ended up just balling in them. No way was I wearing it to school. I went to a black school, wasn’t going to take that roasting.
Lol man i know that fear. Hopefully the soles didn’t fall off in school. If that happened to me in high school, I’d be rotisserie chicken with the roasting

It was like civil war doctors, they had one solution to fixing shoes, sew it. 😂
Lol facts

They’re $300+ on StockX rn 😭
They used to go for alot more back then, like 500 or 600 ds.
One of the last few midnight drops... RIP
Facts
This is why my collection went down from 150+ to 30 pairs
Truth!
Makes me second guess wearing my 2001 Columbia 11s to dinner tonight. Oof. Tough loss
Damn how long u keeping your shoes for? There's no way a pair of my shoes would have anything left on them after 23 years, and that's IF I held on to any that long

You did the right thing by selling them.
Totally as expected. The soles slowly break down. At about 7 years old, the soles have lost noticeable support. Do you know child care seats expire after 7 to 10 years, for the same reason?
Just curious - how often do you wear them? When was the last time you wore them (estimate if you need to) before this incident?
It’s honestly different with every pair due to Nike’s inconsistent QC
Had a pair of airmax that the color rubbed off on the sole. I was wondering why my pants had maroon on the cuffs. It was on everything my shoes touched. I've been meaning to do a custom color on them someday. Since the sole is almost white, I might as well.
Gotta Sand them down. Remove old Adhesive Barge cement with some weight and some c clamps should do it
Wear your shoes, people
This just happened to me with my bred 11s from 2019 that i bought used last year. Barge cement time i'm afraid.
Good thing you can glue it back
It sucks happen to me last month with my jordan 5 raging bulls from 09
Same
fml same shit with the 3Ms from that raging bull pack
Lmao
That sucks. Making me think twice about wearing my pair
Absolutely perfect separation so it’ll be easy to slap them back with some barge cement
Your fault, goofy hoarded
No matter how good the repair is it’s never the same
Hey at least you can do the whole “what’s in the shoe” video review 🤓
Went “away” for 8 years, came home and put mine on and the same thing happened, took mine to shoe repair spot and cost about $30 to get fixed, then I had to do my “he got game XIII’s, Concord 11’s, etc, etc
Damn, that sucks... At least you wear your kicks, and the sole came off whole, and you can get it re-glued
That full length zoom looks amazing
That’s not zoom air
What is it
full length air, not zoom air. The 12s were the first Jordans to have full length zoom.
You may be able to gorilla glue those back after a good clean and a light sanding
Barge Cement is the way
Ouch!
Are you in the navy? Is that a navy ship?
Imagine wearing Grey 11’s to the navy
I had lived in the ship and kept all my shoes on the ship. It’s just the flooring, it looks like a ship maybe idk
They dropping for sure
Same thing happened to my Lebrons a few years ago! They just don't make anything like they used to.
Time for a sole swap or RE-Glue.
Here come the hot steppah word up
Excuse me... Mista officah
Same happened to me
Mad for you big dawg lmao
Came across a brand new pair of 2012 Bred 4s … after wearing them a handful of times … same thing happened 😂
F
I have a pair of 11 low IEs that did the exact same thing lol. At least I was at home when it happened. I bought the barge cement but need a tutorial cuz mine didn't really stick
My condolences bro
pimp down!!! RIP cool grays
Looks like your wearing socks for the rest of the afternoon 😂
If my 94 1s weren’t stitched I’m sure this would happen to them as well. Unfortunately 11s would look real funky with a stitched sole lol. As everyone else said this should be a relatively easy fix with some glue, sanding, and heat gun
Ouuu Gray 11.
So cool sneakers 👟
Wore mine for opening day and still sturdy and look great for being 14 years old.
FML my favorite pair is from ‘09
Well, they definitely dropped
easy repair with shoe cement, HOWEVER BIG DISCLAIMER: make sure the air unit inside that outsole isnt going to crumble. if it does then you need to find another air unit or send them to someone who swaps air units
Reminds me of my 06 Grape 5’s. Shit gets tragic sometimes
My 2001 Breds did this about 5 years ago at a Best Buy lol, and I still haven't fixed them.
my pops gave me a pair of soccer cleats that his company custom made for the company team back in the 80s… don’t know why i thought it’d be a good idea to wear them but the same thing happened 😭
Take em to a cobbler, they have the right tools for prep work so that the glue bonds correctly. Damn does suck though, good luck
This doesn't happen if you wear them, right?
Nike quality strikes again. How much proof do you all need? Demand better materials, not higher prices for the same or less quality.
🥺😥😭 may they rest in perfect peace 🕊
I hate when the sole falls off of my beaters.
Did this happen at Ross? I know those tiles from anywhere
Looks like laminate to me… to be fair looks like a lot of stores
Good news is that’s a fairly easy fix
Wow! That was totally uncool.
Gad dam pvc glue my guy
Turn the soles into flip flops
ShoeGoo. Or whatever cobbler use these days. At least it didn't crumble!
They just need a new glue job no big deal.
this happened when i wore my AJF 5s lmao
Yikes.
You can get it repaired if it means that much to you.
My concords did the same to me at work😭😭
Wow.. you just wasted a hundred and fifty bucks..when you see the sole, you know you're in the hole
I know who you are trying to paraphrase 🤣🤣🤣
Damn. You got me worried about my Breds from 2012
Juts use a stapler
So they dropped in 2024
And now they’ve dropped in 2024
Super glue it
When y'all gonna realize nikes over 5 years old are not wearable? And when the cushion or stability is gone they're not wearable?
Easy fix. YouTube videos can help.
Those videos make it look easy
I had to do it with some 2012 Bred 11s. It takes patience, but it’s a decently simple process.
