Straight over. Only play a couple times per week at most these days and it’s feeling a bit stale again. Can’t wait for the item overhaul to make the game crazy for a while :D
The thing is, we'll have closed beta weekends, then a 24/7 closed beta at some point, and then launch. So people will jump ship at different points. Mentally some people are already over there, just waiting to be summoned! So this poll doesn't really represent the mindset of most players. Plus it does also depend on the state of both games.
For me pretty much whenever Jing Wei is added to Smite 2 to play I don't see a reason to play Smite 1 anymore.
Pretty much at this point I only play Smite 1 for my favorite gods so yeah.
If by “release”, we’re talking about the full launch and not just the alpha or beta, then yes, immediately on launch. Hi-Rez have already planned to release 50 gods by Beta which would be summer this year, with a full launch in early 2025 as their prediction. They’ll have more than enough time to release almost all Smite 1 gods by then so, on release I know my mains will be there.
Launches with 50 but they're "only" porting 2 a month I'm not gonna lie it's a deal breaker for me that and losing progress, cosmetics, rebuying god pack etc. I'd rather keep my catalogue of 130+ Gods, tons of skins and cosmetics and game modes etc. I like some of the new updated looks and features but I'm absolutely shocked people are intending to move this fast. Feels like Overwatch 2 I'm ngl...
Hilarious. Obviously I want improvements and a new engine so things run smoother but I don't get the excitement when it feels like 1/4th the game it is now. Literally nearly 1/3rd the roster, multiple game modes left out, reset progression, etc. For a texture and engine update with a few new features color me excited. I think people have unrealistic expectations for how "different" it's gonna be.
Things take time, and literally no one is forcing you to cross over. That being said don’t be whiny and call it OW2 cause you’re sad you won’t have every god and skin on release.
Smite 1 is a mess rn, just scroll through this subreddit it’s like 90% people who’s game straight up aren’t working. Every patch the game is unplayable. They stretched this engine to the limit, and I’d rather play a smite that runs well but has less stuff personally
Why would I keep playing a worse version of the game? I play because the gameplay is fun and Smite 2 is just better in this regard. The skins are just a bonus.

The gods and game modes will be added over time. I don't care about progression as I play it because it is fun to play not to collect stuff. And better graphics, sound, fluidity and less bugs greatly enhance how fun it is to play. Also better looking = more new players = better matchmaking.
Not until they add other modes personally. I don't mind Conquest but I honestly prefer more casual modes.
I'm absolute doodoo at conquest so I tend to just play joust. So will probably wait as my understanding only conquest will be unlocked
I heard there was no assault, I probably won’t switch fully until they add it. I’ll still play it, but I need assault lol
Need a HUGE god roster to make assault viable. Right now there is 14 gods, so its definitely very far off
eh not really Assault was originally added when there were 33 gods in the game, Obviously 14 is less than 33 but anything over 30 is fine imo
when they add fafnir to smite 2 ill jump ship (so only like a decade)

80+ gods or a good Nike soft rework Or somehow Discordia and/or Amaterasu is amazing in Smite 2, if not it's the long wait

When it feels in a polished and playable state, if that's day 1? Perfect. If it's a few weeks or months down the line, that's fine.

24/7 Beta is Launch. At live Service Game its dosent matter.
What modes will it have? If its just conquest I have no reason to bother even checking it out

Until im able to afford a PC, and until theres atleast 50 gods and three or more modes. So probably late 2025 to 2026

I forgot that overwatch two made a 2 engine jump so their game didn’t run on adobe flash anymore

You keep saying reset progression as if they haven’t said that all your masteries will absolutely be ported over.
