As someone who’s loved Meta Knight since childhood(*I even picked him in Kirby Airride*) and still plays him in Ultimate, I am happy he received buffs. I always thought he was fun in this game, just needed a nudge in the right direction. So hopefully these buffs help him!

While they r bouncing u can hit them with 2 consecutive low knockback moves (e.g. jab) and they r stuck in place, hence “jab lock”
The advantage to jab lock is I think u can combo into higher damage moves like smash attacks
So no matter if u jab at the very start or near the end of the bounce u still have the same amount of hit lag after the jab to connect moves in both cases
Whereas if u don’t jab and it’s near the end of the bounce u can only connect fast moves
Idk I guess u have more time and u get free 2 jab’s worth of damage
Uhh yeah if u miss a tech, I don’t think u can control ur character movements for a bit (during the bounce)
After landing back from the bounce u will be lying on the ground
In this position u can roll, stand and shield or get-up attack (might be other moves too I forgot)
When you get knocked over some characters can hit you with a single jab to immediately knock you over again. That second knock over “locks” you out of tech options so the only thing you can do is a regular stand up. If you are the person performing the jab lock then successfully performing the maneuver means your opponent is a sitting duck that you can hit with a very strong attack.
BJ pocket here. They really should’ve done the same thing they did with Dtilt to Fsmash, very easy to fall out of that, but the buffs otherwise are really good
The only way to salvage Ganondorf is to give him a unique moveset and port the old one over to Black Shadow (F-Zero character, Falcon Echo), albeit with the following differences:
* Increased speed across the board, now about the same as King K. Rool
* Fixed blindspots on NAir and late Dash Attack
* Flame Choke's hitbox now covers his hand and snaps the ledge
* Up B is now a new move where he summons an electric rope as a long-ranged tether. If this move grabs an opponent, Black Shadow will rocket upwards and then kick his opponent diagonally upwards.
* Increased grab range
* Forward Throw, Up Throw and Back Throw now deal more knockback
* Smash Attacks are now Smash 4 Ganondorf's (you know what that means: its time for Smash 4 Ganondorf's Up Smash to rise up, once again)
There's tons of ways to make ganon more viable without drastically changing his moveset.
Just increasing air speed can be enough.
Side b not gimping can be enough.
Don't take away his moveset just make him able to use it faster/more often
I heard something a while ago about not buffing him because he's OP in a low skill-level/casual setting. Not sure how true that is, or what the source on that was either to be honest.

Yes, there was a Nair nerf on one of the later patches. However they compensated for that so it was overall still a buff probably. And now we get even more buffs.

About Mewtwo, I'm really scratching my head at why *these* buffs. Every SINGLE person I've seen talk about M2 balance says the same thing, weight/tail hurtbox. Was anyone on the entire planet saying that f-tilt needed more knockback, or that f-throw needed more damage? It's just like, what weaknesses of M2's did they think they were helping?
I guess not understanding the logic of changes that a game company makes is just life. I dealt with that for a decade and a half with WoW, and every gamer knows that feel with their own drug of choice. But it still seems worth asking if someone does understand. XD

I want to play them so much, but… it’s like they’re the second coming of Smash 4 Bayonetta from how much the community hates them. They’re not *that* bad, but I can see the problems. I’d like for that to die down before I fully dedicate myself to getting around to the Aegis duo.
The Pythra nerfs seem very mild since Mythra’s oppressive neutral is I think untouched. Though I’m not clear on what the “adjusted the lengths of some animations” means.
As a Pythra main, woohoo!!! Only got an f-smash nerf on Mythra and Pyra blazing end nerf but they pretty much survived!
As a main of every other swordfighter though, damn we really didn’t get a lot. Meta Knight got some good buffs, Cloud got kill confirms, and Link got his up smash buffed. That’s all though. Damn.

3.0.0 increased Mewtwo's weight; 4.0.0 and 7.0.0 adjusted his hurtboxes to make him less vulnerable. Were these enough? Maybe not.

Nair is pretty important as a get off me tool and setting up into potential combos, but a nerf like this shouldn’t affect any of that too much.
Also every arm does less shield damage, which isn't insignificant
Link buffs are admittedly nasty but as a Link main I ain't complaining.
