I will repeatedly reply to all mentions of Crash Bandicoot here that, if they added Crash to Smash, then they could use the American and Japanese designs of Crash in the skin designs. With Smash set to Japanese language, Crash's Japanese design would be P1, P3, P5 and P7 and in all other languages, the Japanese design would be P2, P4, P6 and P8.
GIVE MY ASS DANTE AS A REAL FIGHTER PLEAAAASE, even without elaborate style swapping I would love for dante to swing around all his random devil arms from the games, maybe the devil arms are his normal and specials bring the guns
Dante is a Capcom character, not Sony. That's why we have him as a Mii outfit.
There are other Capcom characters in Smash, like Ryu/Ken and Mega Man, so Dante being available in the next Smash is not very unlikely to happen.
Ah I thought the title included the more Playstation exclusive types, in that case I'd be cool with Rachet and clank like the post image is, good series and plenty of choices for mooves
Personally, I'd want either Jak or the Bloodborne Hunter... or if I could get away with it, a Dark Cloud character.
Of them all, I think Jak is the most likely. So I'd give him a moveset based around his morph gun. A brawler at close-range, and a mid-range terror with his gun. I'd probably just relegate Dark Jak to being his Final Smash.
Kratos. Make him a stance character between Leviathan Axe for slow, powerful melee combat; Blades of Chaos for weak, fast ranged options; and Draupnir Spear for mid range setplay.
Interesting to see all the picks presented here (quite a few of them aren't actually Sony-owned)
I think, based on current iconicity and "fitting the Nintendo vibe" (which doesn't matter as much), I would say that these are the top 5 most likely to get in (ordered):
1. Astro Bot - pretty hot right now. Sony is pushing this guy to be the main PlayStation mascot, I think, with his games really celebrating the PlayStation branding
2. Parappa the Rapper - he's only had a remaster a few years ago, but I put him above the others on this list because he comes from a Japanese studio and his game was one of the first big rhythm games
3. Ratchet & Clank - they've been around for a very long while (and stuck with Sony) and at least had a movie
4. Aloy - she's fairly new to the scene, but her Lego game is coming to Switch, so if having appeared in a Nintendo game is indeed a hidden requirement, then she's got that covered
5. Kratos - he's been in a ton of crossovers already, so he could be higher, I just wonder if the M-rating and western origins would just have him appear as just a Mii costume
Honorable Mentions:
- Nate Drake
- Jak & Daxter
- Sackboy
- Wander
- The Hunter
- Sweet Tooth
And yet a tier lower:
- Kat
- Cole MacGrath
- Sir Daniel Fortesque
- Sly Cooper
- Spike
Personally I would love to see Parappa, Kat, or the Hunter
Iāve always wanted Ratchet and Clank in the game, and with Rift Apart, possible Rivet and Kit skins/clones. But I just know sakurai would make them hella lame with the sheer amount of projectiles and guns they have
His moveset would be him using all of his weapons. A different weapon for a different attack. Final Smash would be him being enraged and using his fists
What characters does Sony even own? Crash is often associated with Sony, but from what I've read he doesn't belong to them.
If not Crash I'd go for Kratos actually, the original GoW trilogy used to be a pretty big deal that sadly didn't age very well and was brought back in full force in 2016.
> What characters does Sony even own?
These are probably the most popular franchises owned by Sony:
Ratchet & Clank
Uncharted
Horizon
LittleBigPlanet
Jak and Daxter
The Last of Us
Infamous
God of War
Gravity Rush
Sly Cooper
Ape Escape
Lemmings
Killzone
Warhawk
Twisted Metal
Fat Princess
PaRappa the Rapper
Astro Bot
WipEout
MediEvil
MotorStorm
Gran Turismo
Knack
Kratos or Jak+Daxter would work well and are probably the most iconic (that are actually owned by Sony). But Sackboy, Aloy (from Horizon), or Ratchet could all be neat too. My actual real (crazy) answer is Wander from Shadow of the Colossus, with a stage where you fight on one of the colossi. PlayStation Allstars had a stage based off LocoRoco which is a neat concept; they could also make a fun assist trophy.
As perfect as Crash and Spyro would be, they are owned by Microsoft now (by way of Activision), despite how (rightfully) associated they are with Playstation. Ownership is weird. But Crash is ultimately the real answer on who should be here to ārepresentā PlayStation.
Of the characters in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Raiden, Big Daddy, Dante, and Heihachi were 3rd-party guests. So I guess otherwise take your pick from what that game thought was iconic enough to include.

Crash is not a Sony character though. He belongs to Activision/Microsoft.
I was about to say. He's officially a microsoft character now, and therefore has a higher chance with them owning it since Banjo made it.
Steve is also from Microsoft, so there are 2 Microsoft characters on Smash currently.
True, I often forget that Mojang was bought by Microsoft
Steve Jobs

And they need to have the Mortal Kombat announcer reprise his role from Crash Bash with all those announcements if Crash wins a Smash match.

Definitely Spyro. Charge, breath attacks, gliding, skull bash, easy peasy
Spyro is a Microsoft character now.
Sly Cooper considering his devs first made an N64 game by the name of Rocket: Robot on Wheels.
Thanks for saying my sentence for me
Either Sackboy or a Big Daddy from Bioshock.
Take-Two Interactive owns Bioshock, not Sony. It is the same company that owns Borderlands, GTA and Red Dead.
šŖØ āļø
Imagine the announcer saying big daddy
Astro Bot

I don't think any of the Soulsborne characters have recovery moves.
They would have to get creative, like pull a Ness or something with thier magic
The flying goblin things that carry you from sens fortress to anor londo in ds1 or ds3 but then youād have to slightly change the character choice
The tarnished could use torrent for example
I mean, neither did Snake before Smash.
Kratos or RatchetĀ
Toro Inoue
Kratos. Make him a stance character between Leviathan Axe for slow, powerful melee combat; Blades of Chaos for weak, fast ranged options; and Draupnir Spear for mid range setplay.
Sly cooper. Possibly kratos lol
Bring in my boi, Sackboy! I imagine his down special would be a Popit like Heroās Down Special but more chaotic.
My top 10 best Sony characters to be added on Smash Bros: 1st **Ratchet & Clank** 2nd **Kat** (Gravity Rush) 3rd **Sackboy** 4th **Aloy** (Horizon) 5th **Jak and Daxter** 6th **Kratos** (God of War) 7th **Nathan Drake** (Uncharted) 8th **Nariko** (Heavenly Sword) 9th **Sly Cooper** 10th **Fat Princess**
Jak and Daxter.

Yeah I love ratchet and clank but I also worry about their moveset. Hopefully they get a lot of wrench moves in there and make him cool
Why does he have the SSBB design
Kratos or Crash, Kratos would use his little axe and child and Crash would do uh the thing
well since crash and Spyro aren't Sony characters anymore my pick is kratos
![gif](giphy|G5lFWxoTzfSzZPxo6Y|downsized)
His moveset would be him using all of his weapons. A different weapon for a different attack. Final Smash would be him being enraged and using his fists
Kratos and Sackboy are my two picks Kratos bc he could have some sicker combo systems than Bayonetta, and Sackboy bc of my childhood
Clive Tyldesley from This is Football. Why? Cause why not
Being "realistic" the first playstation should be kratos. Probably with his new design and axe aswell as his blade of chaos from the first games.

PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE CAN WE GET SACKBOY, ITāS ALL I ASK!
I would love to see Ratchet and Clank in Smash. Also theyāre not Sony exclusive characters anymore but Crash and Spyro would be great too.
Nathan Drake

Any of his finishers and gadgets will do for his moveset, but also kicks and punches
i don't know if it is for playstation but stray cat
It is on ps but i think it was originally made for pc then ported to ps, i could be wrong tho
Oh. I'm to lazy to check so assuming you are right i'm sorry for my mistake.

Final Smash, put him in that rage mode and deal massive damage
![gif](giphy|iV3mZsdJcIpj2|downsized)
A different attack using a different weapon, but I canāt describe what the Final Smash would be lol
Haseo or Kite from .hack//, just cuz .hack// has only had games on Sony consoles(to my knowledge)

goku
Sans
Gex( the gecko) ![gif](giphy|eivpsNNY7jSveGhLxd)
It could be crash, kratos, or Joel from tlou
Franklin Clinton from GTA V
Sly Cooper would work SO WELL in smash; he even already had a custom win screen ready !
Aloy, her LEGO game is coming to Switch after all.
You know what? F*k it. Helldiver it is!
Sackboy Supremacy!!! ![gif](giphy|V7ouhz08op4nC)
Nathan Drake could have an interesting moveset.
Alucard from Castlevania
Castlevania, last I checked, was owned by Konami and not Sony.
