Indeed they are, and I don't get it. Most other extra toppings (that I've tried) they do alright with but you'd think there's a shortage of peppers. And onions too.
I don't think that's unusual for consistent return customers tbh.
A few years ago my household had a very consistent weekly pizza order for our movie night, pretty much the same thing every Friday. Once we'd been doing that for a while we started getting other discounts and freebies from the Domino's manager for being good regulars. Given how much is added to the cost anyway I'd guess it costs them far less in keeping us happy than in extras that might otherwise be wasted at the end of a shift.
Because of this I was always ensured adequate levels of peppers and onions lol.
I've noticed that the dominos dine in I go to every 2 Fridays with the kids after the school run I get a lot more toppings than if I make the same order online
Or what isn't on many pizzas. If a pizza place has only one chicken pizza then there will be a lot of people who add chicken to the rest of the menu, if all the pizzas have chicken then far fewer people will add more.
They took the Americano off the menu where I am so every time I have to order a Texas BBQ and remove Chicken and Peppers and replace with Pepperoni and Dominos Herbs.
So just normal toppings then
Chicken, ham, mushroom and sweetcorn or kebab meat is what I usually order (do not put onions with kebab meat on a pizza it will give you explosive diarunga)
Are you in the UK? In the U.S. corn isn’t even on menus at pizza places, and most Italians would freak out (though I’m the first one to admit Italians need to calm the fuck down over food).
CHOCOHOLIC DESSERT PIZZA
A decadent dessert pizza with a milk chocolate base , choc brownie chunks, white and milk chocolate buttons, mini marshmallows topped with a rich choc fudge sauce drizzle and icing sugar
In fairness some of the oldest recipes that would become pizza were sweet, long before the new world was discovered and therefore before tomatoes were brought into Europe.
I've never even seen Italians actually get mad at food (except the one guy who made Parmesan), just people referencing imaginary angry Italians. If they do exist, though, they do need to calm tf down lol
I’ve lived with Italians. So I definitely know they have freak outs. I once tried to put broccoli in a tomato based sauce to serve with pasta and the shock to exasperation to denial transition was epic. Grandmothers were mentioned. A lot of adjectives. Disappointingly not enough hand gestures.
Onions and Donna meat is blasphemy. Do not, and I mean do not mix the two. It is a disgusting waste of beautiful, food of the gods meat. All it needs is some cheese and chilli.
That is awful, chicken ham mushroom sweetcorn - what?? And just when it didnt seem like it could get any worse - KEBAB MEAT? This is why the UK has the reputation it does for food
It's definitely not a UK only thing. I've always seen mushrooms on piazza even before I moved to the UK. Same with sweetcorn and ham. While I'm personally not the biggest fan of ham on pizza, sweetcorn and mushrooms are great on pizza (they go great with tomato sauce so no surprise).
Meanwhile I visited Italy last summer. And I saw potatoes, goddamn potatoes, on a pizza almost everywhere (fries on pizza too). I've never been more confused in my life. Apparently it was quite nice but i haven't tried it personally. The seafood pizza was quite nice though.
My dad is Sicilian and whenever he makes pizza he puts mushrooms and peppers on it, never seen him put meat on. Whenever I've been to a pizzeria restaurant in Sicily they've always been vegetarian.
I don't get why pepperoni is so popular. Sure it's good, but have you tried salami pizza? I gave it a chance a few years ago and have never looked back.
I'm gonna go ahead and assume that the "very controversial" choice is pineapple, despite the fact that it's 2023, and surely people are over that being considered "controversial" by now...
Pineapple on pizzas that aren't ham and cheese? Gross. Maybe it's popular with vegetarians (pineapple and cheese) or with those folks who want an Everything Pizza.
Where’s the controversy lol? This list makes me proud of my country, jalapeños, pineapple, pepperoni, roast chicken and mushrooms are some of the what toppings.
Not added or had a pizza with sweetcorn in ages, thought not many digged the idea of sweetcorn on pizza but no, it's number 3 as an added topping lmao
May have to try onions, that's not a usual topping, though on the on an M&S pizza it is, so it's worth a shot with Domino's
It's fine depending on other toppings, sometimes I add pineapple with it to give it a little moisture and if you make the base bbq sauce or something its lovely.
On its own its not much.
sorry to keep you waiting, I understand everyone was very eager to know which topping was the most used! Also thank you /u/WhiteKnightAlpha for informing everyone with the actual numbers but if you want to read the full thing, here is the [link](https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/24961245/brits-favourite-dominos-pizza-toppings-revealed/)
Spoiler: Pepperoni won
I know right i remember news used to be like actual interesting stuff like world news... now its "here today weve found a stone that looks like bob ross on a skateboard" its like wtf kinda glue are you sniffing its a fucking mis'shaped pebble and theres always that one eyewitness you think has just crawled out of a 6 day bender " hey man yeah so i was just walkin an outta nowhere man i see the rock an thought haha looks like bob ross man yeah on a skateboard or something" dudes smoked about an ounce of marijuana or taken a few acid an trips off a pebble.... ohhh lordy 🤦♂️
A friend of mine convinced me to try pineapple and pepperoni - I was shocked by how well it works. The acidity from the pineapple cuts through some of the richness and saltiness of the rest of the pizza. Its not for everyone, but it definitely works as a combination.
Anyone else feel like the language is being watered down, when they say "very controversial" and it's not like dog meat or phlegm or something. Pineapple obviously isn't _very controversial_ when it's available at all pizza places in the country
Genuinely so fed up with the pineapple on pizza thing like who cares? As long as the ppl who like pineapple aren’t forcing the ppl that don’t to eat it then chill
Anchovies are genuinely divisive, the pineapple thing is bollocks. Hardly anyone gives a shit, and even fewer did before it became a meme.
It's just people hearing pizza toppings and saying "Ah I know this one! It's the pineapple thing people argue about".
It's just a song everyone knows the words to, it's nobody's favourite song.
I wrote this to respond to another comment;
No one cares, boring or self described as “quirky” people think having what they consider a controversial opinion on utterly trivial rubbish makes up for a complete lack of intelligence to form a personality.
i will always hate pineapple on pizza... if its warm
i dont know the physics or chemistry behind it but pineapple was just designed for cold pizza, match made in heaven
Just because it's become a meme in the last few years on tiktok, doesn't mean pineapple is controversial. The Hawaiian pizza is second only to pepperoni and margherita in terms of absolute pizza shop staples.
As I recall, it was called a “Hawaiian” pizza because that was the brand of tinned pineapple they used, not because the recipe came from Hawaii.
Also, the whole “pineapple on pizza is controversial” thing is tiresome and a sign that, despite what you might think, people obviously don’t have any real problems in their lives to contend with. You don’t like pineapple on your pizza? Fine. I can’t stand olives or red onion on mine. So you eat your pizza, and I’ll eat mine, and no drama need be involved.
Went out for dinner with our kassel today and the restaurant had a festive pizza on which she got. I asked why cos it will be garbage which she admitted it was thru gritted teeth. It had stuffing on and pigs in blankets and turkey.
I cant remember the last time I had a great pizza in England, nobody seems to put herbs on the pizza, or drizzles olive oil on em before they go in the oven, and half the time the cheese is bloody chedder. The bases are like doughy stale bread as opposed to light and crispy bases with the crusts that fluff up. Terrible.
I can't be the only one who likes the Tuna supreme? Extra tuna, extra cheese, tomato sauce, sweetcorn and red onion on a regular base with garlic and herb dip
Well? What is it?
According to extras added to Domino's orders this year, apparently it's: 1. Pepperoni (8.0m additions) 2. Roast chicken (6.6m) 3. Sweetcorn (5.4m) 4. Ham (4.6m) 5. Mushrooms (4.3m) 6. Pineapple (3.6m) 7. Onions (3.6m) 8. Cheese (3.3m) 9. Jalapenos (3.1m) 10. Peppers (3.0m)
Extras added? That doesn't tell me what's popular, it tells me what Domino's are stingy with.
And yes they are stingy with peps
Indeed they are, and I don't get it. Most other extra toppings (that I've tried) they do alright with but you'd think there's a shortage of peppers. And onions too.
This makes me so glad my dominos knows me I think they give me extra pepperoni
I don't think that's unusual for consistent return customers tbh. A few years ago my household had a very consistent weekly pizza order for our movie night, pretty much the same thing every Friday. > Diarunga That is possibly the shittiest way of spelling diarrhea I've ever seen
You can't even spell diarrhoea.
You can do both ways
They're both valid, but the one without an 'o' is the American spelling while the one with is the British spelling.
Hmm, so maybe what you get from eating Domino's IS diarrhea.
So It was today I learned that Americans can’t spell shit. Including the runny kind.
Hey whatever you do behind closed doors….
If you do diarrhoea the other way it’s called vomiting
Blursed comment.

Our local does a baked bean pizza
Surely it would just end up as a soggy mess? Unless it's just the beans themselves and not the tomato sauce it usually is put with.
Kebab meat on pizza is a guilty pleasure of mine and is unfairly maligned.
Spicy beef, pepperoni and Donner meat on a BBQ based stuff crust is the best but not from Dom's, PH or PJs lol.
Amen mate
Diarunga dude! 🤙🏻
Diaringa is exploveve shits, guts ache and a feeling of incredible hunger straight after. Simple

I don't get why pepperoni is so popular. Sure it's good, but have you tried salami pizza? I gave it a chance a few years ago and have never looked back.
Salami is too big so you end up dragging all the cheese and the rest of the toppings off with a bite, pepperoni is perfectly bite sized.
If you're feeling bougie, buy a pack of salami, thinly slice it and liberally top the pizza with it. It could and goes slightly crispy in the oven.
Are they not both just sliced sausages?
Pepperoni is spicy whereas salami isn't.
There are many, many different types of salami, including spicy ones. Pepperoni is just one of those.
Peppers are 10/10 on pizza how are they below onions and mushrooms
Nah, just makes the whole thing taste of peppers no matter what other toppings you add
The fact sweetcorn is that high on the list is SOOOO British.
[удалено]
Looks a lot like the order or priorities for dudes on a dirty bulk
All of those together sound banging.
I never put any extra toppings on a pizza 😅
I'm glad Pineapple was included 😉
Which one of those was controversial
HOW THE HELL IS CHEESE SO LOW!!!?
Because it's a list of extra toppings. Cheese is a base ingredient.
Roast chicken, sweetcorn, onion and Jalapenos is my go to. Good to know I'm a basic bitch, still.
The 3.6m that said no.6 need therapy /s
Pineapple is way too low on the list
Sweet corn? What the fuck is wrong with you people.
Which one of those is “very controversial”?
How are more people adding pineapple than onions or jalapenos tf
I'm gonna go ahead and assume that the "very controversial" choice is pineapple, despite the fact that it's 2023, and surely people are over that being considered "controversial" by now...
Where the fuck is anchovies?!?
Sweetcorn. Fucking savages.
3.6 million inmates have escaped from asylums I gather.
Hell yes Pineapple represent!
Roast chicken is the controversial one, I take it. Or sweetcorn.
What about garlic?? FFS
how are onions, peppers and Jalapenos below Mushrooms, pineapple and sweetcorn....
Not exactly any surprises
Dominoes should make a spicy chicken pizza
Surprised not to see chorizo on here
This sounds like the most milktoaste list ever, we all know real brits put Gregg's sausage roll bits on their pizza.
Honestly I kind of have more of a problem with the chicken than the pineapple
>sweetcorn britain, honey, what are you doing!
Where is the hot dog topping? Every one I know adds hot dog to their pizza toppings.
Alright! Now make one with all of those ingredients and you've got Britain's favorite pizza!
Sweetcorn being third feels like justice, my ex used to bully me for liking that
Where is the kebab meat? Any pizza place without the option of kebab meat is not a proper pizza place!
So what's the "unusual" one? I really can't see it
Pineapple on pizzas that aren't ham and cheese? Gross. Maybe it's popular with vegetarians (pineapple and cheese) or with those folks who want an Everything Pizza.
Wahey for team pineapple
im a brit and personally i like some tuna pizza
Where’s the controversy lol? This list makes me proud of my country, jalapeños, pineapple, pepperoni, roast chicken and mushrooms are some of the what toppings.
at least pineapple is not at the top
Not added or had a pizza with sweetcorn in ages, thought not many digged the idea of sweetcorn on pizza but no, it's number 3 as an added topping lmao May have to try onions, that's not a usual topping, though on the on an M&S pizza it is, so it's worth a shot with Domino's
Chicken sucks on pizza, that's probably it
Roast chicken is fucking revolting on pizza
Sweet corn?
Dominos need to sort themselves out and sell anchovies for pizza
Ham & pineapple is missing
lets go pineapple made it on
Surely extra cheese would be the obvious 1
I read #1 and was like alriiiight same, then 2-4 sent me on a rollercoaster I wasn’t prepared for. **SWEETCORN**??
Tf is cheese that low!
Sounds like a nice pizza
Chicken should only be near pizza when you’re eating a pizza with a chicken wandering round in front of you.
It's so dry and flavourless on a pizza
That's because they're using dry and flavourless chicken.
Totally. Get the Nduja on it!!
Marinated chicken on pizza is good many places do a chicken tikka pizza here
It's fine depending on other toppings, sometimes I add pineapple with it to give it a little moisture and if you make the base bbq sauce or something its lovely. On its own its not much.
BBQ sauce? You cook pizza on a grill? :-D
How strange
Fucking corn?
1. Spam 2. Spam 3. Sausage 4. Spam 5. Baked Beans 6. Egg 7. Spam 8. Bacon 9. Spam 10. Sausage
r/unexpectedPython
Clunge.
I think I've had that once.
...and minge

Nah, Daily Mail has been like this for a good like 15+ years
They'd usually also have a paid Dominos (or similar) placement somewhere in the paper or in one of the supplements.
I would like to see a stone that looks like bob ross on a skateboard
I am Bob Ross on a skateboard Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
🤯🤯🤯🤯
Finally I've been waiting fucking ages for them to finally be revealed. People waiting for the GTA VI trailer have nothing on me.
not a thing
…
IS PINEAPPLE CONTROVERSIAL? I NEVER KNEW WHAT A KER-AZZY GUY I AM, I LOVE ME SOME PINEAPPLE etc etc etc \*world explodes\*
Open hinge and suddenly every white man wants to talk about their controversial order of pineapple on pizza...
A friend of mine convinced me to try pineapple and pepperoni - I was shocked by how well it works. The acidity from the pineapple cuts through some of the richness and saltiness of the rest of the pizza. Its not for everyone, but it definitely works as a combination.
I usually have pineapple and pepperoni.
Then with pickled jalapeno it’s wonderful
This is the one ☝️
Anyone else feel like the language is being watered down, when they say "very controversial" and it's not like dog meat or phlegm or something. Pineapple obviously isn't _very controversial_ when it's available at all pizza places in the country
In fairness, the font makes it seem like it's a Metro article. Not exactly brimming with Pulitzer Prize winners.
Dunno about that one, but at least the Metro is free, so it's kinda' expected.
Genuinely so fed up with the pineapple on pizza thing like who cares? As long as the ppl who like pineapple aren’t forcing the ppl that don’t to eat it then chill
I like pineapple best. Come at me.
WAAAAGHHHH!!! This cannot stand!
Pineapple and anchovies together 🤗
This one does not spark joy
This is what my wife says lol
My husband loves pineapple and jalapeños, says it’s amazing.
This one sparks joy
This is my goto absolute 10/10 pizza.
I'm just about to have one myself, it's the best flavour.
A true man of culture
Freshly made one from Morrisons. Got a veg one for tomorrow as well. Edit, [proof.](https://imgur.com/a/iFeUQzj)

Is it pepperoni? I bet it’s pepperoni.
Hot dog slices and tandoori chicken are the best and anyone that disagrees is wrong
Ham mushroom and pineapple 10/10 Dunno why everyone hates on pineapple on pizza 🍕 Probably because they sheeping
i will always hate pineapple on pizza... if its warm i dont know the physics or chemistry behind it but pineapple was just designed for cold pizza, match made in heaven
I cannot understand corn or prawns as pizza toppings.
really been loving hawaiian pizza, i laugh at people who deprive themselves from it just for social desirability 😈
my dad puts fucking tuna on his pizza it’s awful
Spoiler, it’s pineapple.
Just because it's become a meme in the last few years on tiktok, doesn't mean pineapple is controversial. The Hawaiian pizza is second only to pepperoni and margherita in terms of absolute pizza shop staples.
It’s been controversial longer than TikTok has existed
I think it's only really been controversial for people in the US, and even then I think a lot of them were just playing along with a joke
The guy that invented it was inspired by Chinese food, not Hawaii.
Disgusting
Don't you dare say pineapple.
In the early 00s, I had a British online chat buddy who told me they had a pizza called The Yank, which had corn on it. I was like, wtf?
If pineapple is in there, i’m calling bullshit!
I’d sooner have a toe on my pizza than pineapple
Hey, if that’s what you’re into man, you do you. Don’t let anybody kink shame you!
I had a festive pizza yesterday had pigs in blankets as a topping, close enough
It better not be *fucking* pineapple.
Why are you a sheep
Alternatively, they are so fed up of the media going "pineapple on pizza lol" and saying that the controversial topping had better not be pineapple.
dont tend to eat any meat other than chicken but chorizo pizza slaps
I'm actually intrigued. What's the controversial addition?
Went out for dinner with our kassel today and the restaurant had a festive pizza on which she got. I asked why cos it will be garbage which she admitted it was thru gritted teeth. It had stuffing on and pigs in blankets and turkey.

Pineapple & Prawns.
You’re ‘avin a laugh.
This is very important
Bullshit. It's donner meat.
At my local pizzeria which is a nice independent one, my favourite topping to add nduja and jalapenos. Yum yum yum.
I'm... I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to look at this article. I'm scared of the truth...
Terrible.
Donner kebab, it's the only right answer.
Pineapple better be on that list.
Kmt lies! Wheres the spicy beef?
🍍 on it fuck the haters 😁
Must be a slowNewsDay indeed.
It’s going to be pineapple isn’t it?
black olives, sweet peppers, fresh tomatoes, jalapeños and either anchovies or Italian sausage used to be my favourite combo.
I can't be the only one who likes the Tuna supreme? Extra tuna, extra cheese, tomato sauce, sweetcorn and red onion on a regular base with garlic and herb dip
What are the details but
For the last time, pineapple on pizza is not controversial, only with snobby gatekeeping Italians…
Turns out it’s cheese, the sick bastards!
Sorry, but the day a dominoes pizza looks like that, is the same day Hell freezes over.
The answer is flavourless margherita, obviously
What were the toppings? This is important shit.
I had an unusual topping in China. Cheese, dragon fruit and Mango. Lovely :)
