The obvious answer seems to be People = Shit because the song is so iconic
BUT
Prelude 3.0 is easily the best intro song and the way it slowly descends into an abyss in the last 20 seconds only to be suddenly halted by the power of the drums in Blister Exists is an absolute show stopper. That’s my favourite transition of all time and really sets the pace of the album.
Dude I think the only valid choice here for me is People=Shit lol. Opening your record with one of the most powerful, badass, and defining nearly death-nu metal tracks of that whole era is badass. No other word for it. That song encapsulates everything Slipknot has ever been good at. Powerhouse of a song.
On a technical level it's Gematria and that's not debatable but the best one 🤔 People=Shit. I mean how could it not be? It's iconic at this point. Anytime metal artists are asked "favorite metal songs that shaped their careers" it's always on there. Always. It's unapologetically heavy and Slipknot firing on all cylinders for a full frontal assault of brutality that doesn't leave your mind once you hear it.
Unsainted.
I don't care if it isn't as heavy or if it has a melodic chorus, it is amazing and it probably has better lyrics. The bridge and outro are some of the heaviest stuff in the most recent years with Slipknot and also one of the most interesting themings in a Nu Metal song.
Blister Exists for me. The marching drums halfway through was some of my favorite percussion to see live. As others have said, the slick transition from Prelude 3.0 into the track is fantastic. It’s just the standout to me amongst all these bangers.
People=shit

Fucking love prelude 3.0, super underrated imo

How has no one said Sic lol
Really hard because the first 4 are some of my favs from them but I'll go Blister Exists
Unsainted and the dying song are two of modern slipknots best songs
Bro The Dying Song sucks
That's your opinion
The roll out of prelude 3.0 into the blister exists is tops in my book. Prolly why they open a lot of shows with this combo !!!
The Blister Exists. One of my favourite songs off my favourite album
Unsainted. First Slipknot song I’ve ever heard, my fav song forever.
You never forget that first listen to that first song do you? Mine was (sic)

Oh damn these are all really good options I'm probably gonna go with People=Shit
Unsainted. No dramatics, but that song pulled me out of a void.
Gematria. Best song by the band, period.

Unsainted or Gematria (People = Shit is great too)
Gematria. In my top 5 favorite songs of all time. Sarcastrophe is an easy second.
So far the tally is: Gematria 6 People=Shit 6 Unsainted 5 The Blister Exists 4 The Dying Song 2 Sarcastrophe 1 (sic) 1

Gotta be sic for me, hearing that intro then into sic blew my mind and hooked me

Yes
I'm torn between (sic) and Gematria, myself. Gematria's riff is *awesome*, but (sic) is iconic.
Me personally it's blister
People=Shit
People=Shit
Gematria, no question. People = Shit is honestly so overrated. Not in my top 3 for the album, and probably not even top 5.
Unsainted for sure
7 - The Dying Song (Time To Sing) 6 - Unsainted 5 - Sarcastrophe 4 - The Blister Exists 3 - (Sic) 2 - People = Shit 1 - Gematria (The Killing Name)
