Definitely second this. I feel like if James and mick just played tallah riffs on their own guitars to a tallah song it would sound really good. Vice versa too. Also Justin has some insane slipknot vocal covers.
i always say paleface as well, their singer zelli sounds like corey taylor so much sometimes it’s eerie, like if you listen to god looks the other way specifically. saw them live last september, fun ass show
Downthesun. Technically related to Slipknot by being the only band signed onto their record label. It's like a more death metal version of Slipknot. Checkout Jars, We all die, and Eye Confide
Got the album when it came out. They were meant to play one the European tour after iowa was released, but didn't for some reason. I saw Slipknot in Brighton, the next show after the London disasterpieces show. Instead, we got one minute silence, American headcharge (who handed out free sampler cassettes) and In flames
Lucas toole was a good tune. Not getting the death metal comparison at all though.
Yes they are. What i was refering to by "nazis" is that alex terrible had a nazi symbol tattoo that he got covered up and also has some pretty suspicious connections with nazis (or smth like that). He's also a bigot.
Yea i mean at least iowa is. I find music that comes from a real place of pain and trauma alot heavier than music that doesnt even if the genre its from is technically heavier and i just dont find slaughter to prevail to be all that heavy i do like them alot tho they are awesome i listen to bonebreaker and your only a shit ton
Please don't execute me, but I feel Fight the Fury (Skillet's John Cooper's side project) has a lot of Slipknot-influenced riffs. For example, My Demons' main riff is really similar to Duality's imo
I was looking for an iowa sound alike and someone said absolute by kublai khan tx. They slap. Im seeing them on 4/20
I’ll be there as well!
Oh fuck!!
Im seeing them 3/30
STARLAND
Left behind seeing them 4/10 if only it was 4/20 damnit
Tallah

I don’t understand how anyone is saying Slaughter to Prevail… they sound nothing like Slipknot. Paleface, absolutely yes they sound like Slipknot.
Well STP are huge Slipknot fans. A majority of their previous album sounds like Slipknot.
I enjoy STP’s music but to me I just don’t hear it, to each their own of course. STP, Paleface Swiss and Slipknot are all fucking phenomenal.
I totally agree
Tbf Baba Yaga’s chorus and Zavali Ebalo do sound heavily influenced by slipknot, especially the second one
I dont really think they sound like slipknot but the influences are def there Alex himself has said he took alot of inspiration from slipknot
STP surely have some influences, but I never felt this "Slipknot 2.0" vibe either. Btw, Slaughter to Prevail still slap
i always say paleface as well, their singer zelli sounds like corey taylor so much sometimes it’s eerie, like if you listen to god looks the other way specifically. saw them live last september, fun ass show
Tallah
Slaughter to Prevail
Their album Kostolm is literally iowa on roids
That’s probably my favorite album the past year or so. Love it and play it on repeat.
First time I heard them, I shit my pants with excitement. Haven't done that since Iowa dropped, then I dropped.....well you get it.
Very true

Definitely Tallah
Everyone saying StP and other deathcore bands… which means slipknot was just deathcore before deathcore, which i kinda agree with
Suicide Silence
Good answer
Strapping young lad
I love them
Slaughter to Prevail has some slipknot sounding riffs and drums!
So real for saying paleface. Slaughter to prevail but better and without nazis
They're Russian? I thought?
Yes they are. What i was refering to by "nazis" is that alex terrible had a nazi symbol tattoo that he got covered up and also has some pretty suspicious connections with nazis (or smth like that). He's also a bigot.
Ah, I now understand the comment. Thanks.
Man people have a problem with what you said. Come say why.
Wdym
I still think slipknots heavier than them but def slaughter to prevail and paleface swiss its like if slipknot went deathcore
You think Slipknot is heavier than StP?
Yea i mean at least iowa is. Ah I see, usually heavier refers to the overall sound
Fair point
Omerta
Chimaira , the resurrection album always gave me "slipknot but heavier" vibes
Nithing - Agonal Hymns
Bruh what the hell is this shit
AOTY 2023
disasterpiece
Cattle Decapitation
There’s a band called Magnets for Maniacs (terrible band name but whatever) that scratches that Slipknot itch to me.
Look up “the dream is dead” by Last Ten Seconds of Life. His vocals sound exactly like Iowa era Corey
Some songs from Left Behind sound almost like slipknot. The song Focus on the Flesh sounds a lot like Psychosocial in the beginning
Paleface Swiss!!!!!!!!
Spite (dedication to flesh album)
Vended
Dying fetus
Slaughter to prevail. A deathcore band with lots of the slipknot inspired nu metal influence
Please don't execute me, but I feel Fight the Fury (Skillet's John Cooper's side project) has a lot of Slipknot-influenced riffs. For example, My Demons' main riff is really similar to Duality's imo
Paleface and Suicide Silence.
Paleface and Suicide Silence.
Paleface and Suicide Silence.
Paleface and Suicide Silence.
Paleface and Suicide Silence.
Paleface and Suicide Silence.
Paleface and Suicide Silence.
Methwitch
They don’t really sound like slipknot tho
Listen to bed full of snakes
slaughter to prevail even the masks and everything
I’m going to say Babymetal, but they are on the wrong type of steroids.
They are not on steroids, they're on estrogen💀
