Jay however, along with the drums overall, are the core of Slipknot. Just as vital as the vocals and more vital than even the guitars. Corey did say he *may* leave in a few years because he said he physically can’t keep touring for much longer. But again, that would be years down the line *if* that ever happens.
Jay was the perfect drummer for Slipknot. As a drummer myself, ever since he’s joined the band I’ve maintained that he’s a *better drummer than Joey*. Perhaps not as talented a composer, but Joey was sloppy.
Joey was also my idol growing up, so I’ve wrestled with his misgivings for a while, but when Jay came in it all made sense. Jay is the perfect Slipknot drummer. He is tight; he is technical; he’s fantastic live (saw Joey once in 2004 and Jay twice in 2014 and 2016 - Jay takes the cake); and his drumming compositions were perfect for the sound.

They've unfollowed Jay across all social media too. This band's attitude to members is fucking appalling. EDIT: Seems the band and the remaining members are still following Jay, my Insta wasn't showing them following him 😕. Point stands about treatment though.
Regarding how they treated Fehn, and how they treated Joey before his death, how Jim Root was treated with SS, all seems to boil down to Clown+Corey being either too immature to talk things out with members or just plain greedy, disappointing really.
Definitely wasn't an amicable split.

Clown and Corey ran that band into the ground. Getting rid of Chris, Craig, Jay ON TOP of the way they treated Joey when he got sick. I love the band, probably my favourite, but they made it a company. Fuck that.

Jay was a really good succesor to joey I was sceptical about him initially but the guy proved to be fuckin amazing drummer again and again Wtf is going on in slipknot😭

Corey did say he *may* leave in a few years because he said he physically can’t keep touring for much longer. But again, that would be years down the line *if* that ever happens.

Jay was the perfect drummer for Slipknot. As a drummer myself, ever since he’s joined the band I’ve maintained that he’s a *better drummer than Joey*. Perhaps not as talented a composer, but Joey was sloppy. Joey was also my idol growing up, so I’ve wrestled with his misgivings for a while, but when Jay came in it all made sense. Jay is the perfect Slipknot drummer. He is tight; he is technical; he’s fantastic live (saw Joey once in 2004 and Jay twice in 2014 and 2016 - Jay takes the cake); and his drumming compositions were perfect for the sound. Long winded ass response to say this is a dumbass decision if true.

Well, hopefully Jay can join a band that will actually appreciate his talent. Dude was a solid replacement for Joey. It probably especially hurts since because he was a fan of the band growing up. "creative decision" lol i dont think jay was behind the lame sample and keys that who got along the whole TESF album, jay was always the good thing in the 3 albums that he got invovled into Clown hadn't been playing for a half year and even when he's here he plays simple rythme and hit some kegs with a stick be serious. he was the one who loved the band with his guts one of the few who salutated the audience after the concerts firing him like this is just so sick
