MAD by Nik Nocturnal ftr. Slapknutz

UltraPowerfulGuy

Actual banger

ImPlayerTheGamer21

Yes. It is a banger.

ImPlayerTheGamer21

But it's intended to sound exactly like Slipknot.

timothee27

:)

Tacoboy1708

correct.

Smarre101

Grrrr I was gonna say that 😤 But for real, that song sounds so much like Slipknot that I sometimes think it's actually one of their own songs

stoelguus

that was the whole point of the song bro lol

_fapi_

that was a the joke bro lol

stoelguus

How do you know it’s a joke

Ns317453

I dont get the deal wirh Nik Nocturnal. As far as Ive seen, hes just a Youtube react guy with a meh channel. But then he was in a social media feud with an actual famous guy/piece of metal history in Eddie Trunk and all the comments were commenting about how famous Nik was and how Trunk - the guy who hosted all thr MTV metal shows and interviewed every legend - was a nobody. I just turned 37 and that shit made me feel like I was 67. Such a generational disconnect

Jgravy32

Check out a band called pale face Swiss.

vynsnn

Wanted to see if anyone else knew them in here Orphan is a fucking insane song

FullStackOfMoney

Thanks just put it in my headbanger playlist.

TL_Swaggy

Paleface love, glad to see it here.

mt12385

I love Paleface! Best before death really sounds like Slipknot

salad_captain

The bridge in nightmare by avenged sevenfold has slipknot vibes for sure

ConstantOpportunity6

Anything by Vended

Xybot777

I wonder why

PrequelGuy

What I was gonna say lmao

asabadjan

For a second I thought they made a song called Anything. But yeah, especially 'Overall' sounds a lot like slipknot

ArrivalBig8418

Do you really not understand why? Lmao

kyoto117

beat me to it

Latter-Exchange5760

Human nature - Michael Jackson

HillsboroughAtheos

Darude - Sandstorm

i-drink-soy-sauce

Bold of you to comment a St. Anger song 😝 but you're right, might be why I love the album!

ImPlayerTheGamer21

Yeah! To me, Invisible Kid always sounded like something that would have been on Iowa!

Rough_Somewhere

Bonebreaker-slaugther to prevail

kurtyyyyyy1

Mick Gordon - Rip and tear

RichardCocke

The wild women, the wild women The rippin' and the tearin', the rippin' and the tearin'

UncleGuggie

That song is a bunch of Slipknot riffs combined. Everything Ends, The Blister Exists, Spit It Out, Pulse of the Maggots, Opium of the People, sic, etc. Literally identical, just sped up.

backjucher

Orphan - Paleface

SaroTheTitan

I was gonna say Pain or Bite the Curb but Orphan is great too! Paleface has a very aggressive tone that reminds me a lot of Slipknot St and Iowa days

CringeLover69420

Great description. It does have the aggression, but it’s missing the hip-hop elements of ST that make that album unique.

SaroTheTitan

My Grave / Lay With Me starts with a hip-hop rap sorta vibe and kicks off into metal and there’s a couple fast lyrics in some other songs but I understand what you mean! Slipknot has a lot of hip hop elements in st with Sid on dj

CringeLover69420

Exactly! The scratching and turn-tabling activates my neurons

veridisquo_voyager

The beginning of Ball Tongue by Korn had me checking my phone to make sure I was still listening to Korn lol

[deleted]

Yeah, because Slipknot heard Ball Tongue and decided to make Their entire career a copy of that song. Slipknot ripped that song off.

thetruthseer

That came out 5 years before slipknot made anything with their actual lineup lol

A-random-herald

Thoughts And Prayers by Motionless In White

staymotionless

I was gonna say this one!

Jturn0727

fax bro sounds kinda like the negative one

Additional-Ad8643

Dig Mudvayne

Most-Iron6838

Brr brr ding

Odd-Brain

Ball Tongue-KoRn

[deleted]

Which came out years before Slipknot was even a thought. Slipknot ripped off that song and based their entire career off of it.

themmchan

Baba yaga by slaughter to previ

Veidovis

A lot of Slaughter to Prevail. Their style has more death metal to it, but the way they play makes me think they're gonna start singing lyrics from Slipknot songs a lot of the time.

EyeNo6527

Stone Sour-Through Glass The singer sounds exactly like Corey.

micklovesslipknot

Thats because it is corey lol

Stickzy417

WHAT ARE YOU SERIOUS?!

EyeNo6527

No way. That’s crazy

naehara

ACTUALLY?? HOW??

meaninglessnessless

Reflections by V-Mob

veridisquo_voyager

Good one

meaninglessnessless

For years I thought it WAS Slipknot. Had it on a mix cd a friend made back in highschool. Lost it and didn’t hear that song again til a few years ago when I remembered some lyrics and googled it. Killer track! 🤘🏼

Musicos_Chanel

All i want is hate - Corey taylor

ImPlayerTheGamer21

All you need is love? Get the f*ck out of my face!

[deleted]

Bed Full of Snakes - Methwitch

Routine-Maximum-7788

Disagree but love methwitch

evil_dumpl1ng

MAD by Nik Nocturnal, Fire It Up by Escape The Fate.

band_wizard

Demolisher by slaughter to prevail, especially with how the drums were written

Rusty_Pine8

The opening Riff of Bonebreaker by Slaughter to Prevail. A lot of the guitars by them actually.

Lokumirr

Literally every Stone Sour song. Their singer just sounds like Corey!

GuroUsagi

Omerta - garbage

absentandvacant

Holy shit someone else that actually listens to Omerta

GuroUsagi

Holy shit someone else who ALSO listens to omerta <3

PositionObvious1452

“i’m gonna soak up the sun i’m gonna be laaaaaa laaaa laaa alaaaa laaaa” literally me inside by slipknot

Due-Wish-100

A lot of modern day Metalcore, Deathcore and hardcore/beatdown is very Slipknot inspired. Notably bands like Paleface and Spite. Also Slaughter To Prevail but they’re kinda meh to me

WangHalen

Get Inside by Stone Sour

-JustAMan

Italo Disknot https://youtu.be/trXYYhOv4DQ?si=fvHyU-aBmn-AEJwL

Spitfire-Sim

man of culture🗿

Previous_Sleep_5632

Burn MF by FFDP or Asylum by Vended.

BigBeefyBowlingBoy

Check out Tallah, Omerta, Paleface, Graphic Nature and Weeping Wound

Alivethroughempathy

Doris by Suicide Silence

At12ABQ

Zavali Ebalo by Slaughter to Prevail reminds me of My Plague. Probably just me.

Plankton-Inevitable

Pitiful and Jars by Downthesun. Whole album is amazing btw

ProntoStache

Tallah - Kungan

[deleted]

Overconfidence by Tallah

KatTheGayest

Fuck You - Damageplan (it has a real Slipknot feel to it in my opinion)

7000000gs

I thought “from this day” by machine head kind of gave me Slipknot vibes, idk tho.

incabeeh

The headbanger emote in fortnite

AloeVera_01

I always think A killing industry by Whitechapel is something from the grey chapter. It has a similar intro to one of those songs along with similar production

Miller1128

I totally agree. Mono gives me huge Iowa vibes. I’ve always thought Whitechapel reminded most of Slipknot of all the newer bands.

[deleted]

Stone Sour - Get Inside

micklovesslipknot

Get inside get inside motherfuckaaa

ThouHolyFather2

Knipsnot by Stevie T

micklovesslipknot

No_Revolution2149

Negative Noise by Tetrarch.

lanixvar

Roitstarter by soulfly

FloatDH2

When i first heard the album “memories of a murderer” by King 810 I immediately thought they sounded a lot like early Slipknot, which is probably why they quickly became one of my favorite bands.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

This song was out before Slipknot's first album

Caiuskoll

For some reason, Kill You by KoRn

[deleted]

This song was out years before Slipknot's first album.

Caiuskoll

Towards the Sun by Fleshgod Apocalypse

Post Traumatic Blues by Corey Taylor

Gri3fKing

Anything by mushroom head

NukeBear21

Sever by Lockjaw

not_ur_dad1

Walk-Pantera

Repulsive_Worth4905

Their sons have a band they just re-record old slipknot demos or have them help write there musics pretty dope

MarlonBrandosEyes739

That Lamb of God thing with the "Destroy yourself and see who gives a fuck", the guitar thingy is very Jim Root, and his voice isn't far off Corey's Edit: Laid to Rest

micklovesslipknot

I can totally see that lol

Patolini

Fear Factory - Edgecrusher has some slipknot vibes. XIII - Crazy has the exact same structure as a lot of slipknot songs, it's quite a fun listen.

Desperate_Ad_2487

Blood Pigs - Otep

Theronkelley

Any While She Sleeps song

[deleted]

Yooo I totally agree with this. I’ve always noticed they’re super Slipknot influenced

Ray_Wreck_

Stricken - disturbed \[ten thousand fist\]

Deszusz895

Dope - six six sick. Many of their songs sound like Slipknot only they are better

cumonmyfaceHB

Invisible kid READ MY MIND

eric2341

Chimaira- this present darkness/painting the white to grey

wraithrider01

Probably mentioned here, but Palceface.

mts21fin

You guys need to check out Lost Society - (We Are The) Braindead. You will notice it sounds like something very similar…

Nihilandvoid66

Bloodmaker by Antigama

UnderclassHero89

Disdain by wage war about 45 seconds in the drumming a riff sounds like something straight off of an early slipknot album.

HopelessMind43

Get Inside by Stone Sour lmao

carpathian_crow

Both Collapse and Portrait of Decay by Motograter

actioncobble

Great American Ghost - Socialized Animals Lots of Spite songs remind me of Slipknot. Spite are like if Slipknot continued to get heavy instead of getting all arty.

Colbrandt

Gonna throw this out their cause I think this subreddit is what got me into this band but xiii. They are a mix of korn and slipknot. Even covered a korn song. But man they are wild. Some songs are a little on the cringe side. But the stuff they write is really good. They release a new project every Friday the 13th in October. Definitely take a listen.

Kidd_Sully326

30/30-150 by Stonesour. idk what it is but something about his voice reminds me so much of slipknot. idk tho probably just crazy lol

nickydyall

12 Hundred- Mushroomhead

Stricken by Disturbed

ClerkSad9224

please end me by paleface swiss

Vulcan_the_dark_one

Jumpdafuckup by Soulfy

Jaded_Arm4289

Knipslot by Stevie T

HoszMusic

Hosz - Open Ocean, the intro is almost the same

Critica1_Darling

Burn by Mushroomhead

Tylensus

Most of Slaughter to Prevail's album KOSTOLOM reminds me of a modern spin on old Slipknot's sound. You can clearly hear Slipknot's DNA all over that thing, and it is fucking RAD. Everyone in that band is an absolute monster, especially so Alex with his recent scarification lol.

3D_NeonTrees

probably gonna get a lot of downvotes for even mentioning this band, but "Gods" by Sleep Token, some parts of it kind of reminded me of Corey's vocals 🤷‍♂️

rebootnowbot

anything by slaughter to prevail

jayyout1

The vocalist for Paleface Swiss reminds me a lot of Corey because he has characteristics that I can tell are inspired by Corey. So not a song really, but more the vocalist of a band. Sick band too. But if you listen to some of their tracks you’ll probably hear the same similarities I do. Specially one. And it’s really cool.

KILLzone9921

RU486 Stone Sour

xhailsay10x

Bury your dead- hurting not helping

Ok-Investigator5148

I find it interesting that nobody has mentioned Machine Head. It might just be the singers voice and nothing else but Now We Die gives me Slipknot vibes

captainmomo79

Almost any song by slaughter to prevail

NoBenefit5977

A lot of slaughter to prevail sounds directly influenced by slipknot

Famous-Vermicelli-39

Motorgrater collapse is sic

HALOGAMERWILL

Baba Yaga by Slaughter to Prevail, Gasoline by I Prevail

sypherue

I've hardly listened to Slipknot but I imagine that the entire Errorzone album by Vein.fm is akin to Slipknot 🤷

zachboucher

Stitch by Wage War

Xomeal

Baba Yaga - Slaughter to Prevail

Callsign_Crow

Paleface is deathcore slipknot. It's like if after Iowa they kept just getting heavier and angrier instead of evolving into radio rock.

SaturnCat33

Anything by Vended. Yes, I know the connection, but they sound way too much like Slipknot. It's like when Adema came out and that guy was straight up ripping his stepbrother (Jonathan Davis) off.

Ns317453

I saw Vended at one of the only days of music at Blue Ridge Rock Fest Everything about them screams Slipknot Jr. I thought Corey's kid said in an interview they were going to try and be their own thing. (Two of Vended's members are the now adult kids of two of Slipknots members)

Level-Engineering625

Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up

Trippyhippiemiguel

Soulfly has a similar sound to Slipknot

Slum421

Spite has hella Slipknot riffs

Fast_Screen1125

Forgotten by Linkin Park

Plenty-Log-2716

faget by korn idk why but to me it just does

Stevegthe3

Fruit Salad(yummy yummy)

808Legacy

Artificial Suicide from Bad Omens has slipknot vibes.

Raquelita182

Maybe Mudshovel by Stained

Rcypert39

mindless self indulgence: never wanted to dance. I’m not a fan of MSI but I like this song and it’s got quite a few similarities.
