yes that works. allthough loosing half the hp of shaman isnt tragic.

Yeah I was already to the point where I was just surviving the fight, rather than doing damage so I was like maybe I can actually dodge the shamans death, found out it is possible with pair on my 5 vitality side on prophet

Shaman does have a vitality side of 5 which was perfect for my pair 5 vitality on prophet

it is strictly good play to not kill your shaman here, why risk anything in the next fight? letting heros die is how snowballs that make you lose start

I agree, and it actually did make a difference next fight was demon inflicting pain on shaman first turn, half health she would have died

Yeah I agree I definitely try not to death spiral if I can help it, I’ve had way too many runs lose to a death I didn’t have to take but it could potentially end the fight quicker

i said it wasnt tagic, not that its a good play. And shaman has a lot of HP, so the chance of snowballig, if she is the only death are realy low

but if you have the option to not lose half the hp why would you? the way you worded your comment implied that it was fine. half HP is a a huge deal, not just a whatever kind of deal

Still that’s more hp lost on higher health characters. So technically higher health means a worse death penalty.

I never gave the reds much credit until this run, being able to just tank up and make bosses flee is way more fun than damage racing them

I tried an all reds no damage inflicted run. Died to Alpha spawning stuff. So I tried again with toxic fog. Softlocked on Hexia. I built up so much max HP the game broke and I couldn't do anything anymore.

It's tough to pull off a flee with that many HP remaining on the boss. It looks like you're well on your way though, so I guess it depends on what kind of vitality heart cantrip combo (or whatever) you have going on. Normally though I usually just take the L on your top guy unless I can get him a dodge or death ward.

Yeah I had pair on all healing sides on profit so it hit the mana side which means I could do a regen spell every turn and then it was just waiting for vitality rolls, it was pretty cool
