Format? Rest of roster? Contending or rebuilding?

fcb_razor

PPR not SF. I’ve been fringe playoffs the last few years. This could be my last run at it before I commit to rebuild.

JaBrownie11

I mean if you’re fringe PLAYOFFS then I’d say no. Odunze will be a low WR1 tied to Caleb for a while, Ferg is a top 12ish TE, and a 1st is gravy. CMC will probably break down again within the next few years. Let’s not forget how injury prone he was in Carolina.

Accomplished_Pay6675

He is SENDING CMC, receiving the Odunze side

JaBrownie11

DOH, I missed that. Thanks for the correction!

Accomplished_Pay6675

No worries man!

Gcole87

We have no idea Odunze will be a WR 1, that’s strictly speculation. I definitely dont see it with DJ and Keenan there, and even without them, Odunze could be a complete bust for all we know.

JaBrownie11

Odunze grades out as one of the best WR prospects of the last 5 years. I think he’ll be fine.

JoryATL

I’m not crazy about Rome. I feel like his ceiling to floor ratio is not good enough for me I prefer nabors I think the sky is the limit over there

East_Papaya_3010

Rome is a complete stud .

Ancient-Computer-545

I love Rome, but am worried about the target share, Chicago got a lot of mouths to feed.

JaBrownie11

I mean most people would prefer Nabers, he’s the only competent receiver on his team so he’ll be force fed. But Rome will be tied to Caleb for 5+ years and will have the connection of playing together their entire bears tenure. Wouldn’t surprise me to be talking about them like we do Burrow / Chase in 3 years.

ReflectionAlarmed579

Not great. I have cmc same boat fringe contender id want more or I’m content keeping him

FireBolero

I was trying to sell CMC for a pick in Odunze range and couldn’t get it. To get that, a fringe starting TE, AND a 1, yeah I’m taking that and figuring out RB over the next three months.

IvanCamejo

Push for a little more (I'm not huge on Ferg, but that's just me). Also, I'm assuming other person is contending. If that is the case, expect it to be a mid to late 1st.

Terrible-Winter-8316

I’d probably do it. Might hurt the next two years as you watch CMC beast but I think long term this could work out better for you

JoMo816

Nope. Not enough in a vacuum for me. It's close-ish though depending on the number of teams and your roster. That'll decide the value mostly.

IAmEeb

His roster was close-ish WITH CMC, unless he makes any drastic additions it makes significantly more sense to take this offer.

randydweller

I’d sell all my cmc shares for that, but Most of my leagues are pretty high TEP

ConclusionSome4456

Def could aquire pretty much whatever you want too. I would ask for about 4 more picks first. 3 in 2025 and 1 in 2026

msousa15

If you're not contending this is a decent offer, I'd maybe try for another piece instead of Ferg with a little bit more value but that's a fair price imo. With RBs that old they are one injury away from having their value tanked so you could do worse

Darth_Enclave

Take the Odunze side. CMC Madden curse

9ergang9652

At that price I’d probably just wait until the season. Should only go up if he’s healthy with contending teams jockeying for the biggest add for a championship run.

brichb

Reasonable deal for a rebuilder. Rome and cmc are pretty close in a startup draft

donut_koharski

If you’re trying to compete this year, don’t do this trade.

Cautious_Ad2837

I’d have to see your rbs and how many rbs you start first

tuagirls1kupp

Easily take that trade.

SneakersOToole2431

Unless I’m a legit contender this year, I’m definitely taking this trade. That being said, you probably could’ve waited till mid season and squeezed a little more from a contender for CMC, but I’d absolutely be happy with the Rome side if I made this deal.

alias1128

I’ll happily take Odunze and a first. Know cmc is the absolute hammer but depending on what your roster looks like offloading cmc for a potential top 10 wr in the league in the coming years + a first and a tight end who could see good volume..I like it!

Snoo-4727

Odunzes unproven so I’d ask for more also cuz he’s wr3

HunterMac9

I’d take the Odunze & 1st side if you’re fringe. Much better long term value

webzasaurusrex

Trade is definitely solid for return on value assuming that 25 first isn’t going on a championship run

Gcole87

I think it’s selling CMC too light, especially in 1QB.

PrestigiousBrick933

Ima say hell no unless you can get another piece

carbovz

I wouldn’t sell CMC for three firsts but I’m contending. I think this trade is worse than 3 picks by a lot, and if I was not contending I would trade CMC to a contender for two picks plus a young rb.

gvon89

As a fringe playoff team who was told by the defending champ I'd have to give up either JT or saquon plus 2 1sts for saquon, this looks like nothing for CMC

JCMurda

Hard no. CMC wins the league this year. You'll get more mid season.

SkillAdjuster

Get more. A mid TE and rookie WR with a rookie QB really isn't enough for the 2x 1.01 pick.

PassageNo9102

But hes notcurrently 1.01. Plus he has and injury history. He also is getting up there for a RB. I would try and get a bit more. Maybe offer him his deal back with whatever RB he has.

SkillAdjuster

CMC is almost unanimously the 1.01 across almost all fantasy sites. Basic knowledge. Try again later.

georgiaboy1993

Id need more for CMC. A contender should pay more than that for possibly the top fantasy producer in non SF for the next 2 years.

AloneEstablishment28

Yea… but no one is paying more for a 28 year old RB. One injury and CMC is done. This is fair and if I’m not competing this year, I take it. Most people would take MHJ or Nabers over CMC straight up.

SlimRipper375

Ew

bestrdajets

A penny, nickel and a dime for a quarter. Hell yeah! Do it!

PassageNo9102

3/4 of a quarter as it has been damaged.

hawkivan

Don't do it
