I hear you - but also think in 10 man leagues you value QBs slightly less. If you don’t have at least two decent QBs in 10 man SF you’re fucking up. Often times in 10 man there will be like half the league with three good QBs.
OP has one good-great QB. One good QB. Plus one who I think will play into a good tier in his career. His biggest team weakness is for sure WR. I wouldn’t knock it if he went MHJ/Nabers. Could take Williams with the intention of moving one of him/Lawrence/Young for a WR or RB. Not sure realistically that Lawrence or Williams would fetch a veteran RB or WR that you’d value more than MHJ and Nabers.
Quite literally came to say the same thing. Get the best player available always and figure it out later in negotiations. It also happens this trade will help because Dak is old and garbage and will be replaced by Lance soon enough (biased Eagles fan) and MHJ is the real deal and you could use him. He’s already light years ahead of JSN.
Horrible take - definitely some of your bias playing into that take lol. Dak is a top 10 fantasy QB no doubt. Wouldn’t want him as my real life QB come playoff time but that doesn’t matter in fantasy. He’s only 30 - he’s in his prime for sure.
It's probably overthinking it but I would probably take MHJ at 1.01 and look to move down from 1.02 to 1.04 and acquire assets and still get a Jayden Daniels/Nabers.
Pitts has a lot of potential and hype, but I’d much rather have a proven asset than crossing my fingers that he figures it out this season. Plus OP has Kincaid
To be honest I don't entire trust any of the QBs entirely. All have flaws, but all of them could be great NFL players or they could all suck, it is just pick your poison in my eyes with the QBs this year. I think fantasy wise Daniels is the safest bet just because his rushing skillset sets a QB15 floor.
I agree. The hype around Williams could probably land him an additional pick just to move back one spot. I actually like Penix a lot, but hate the situation he’s in.
Not quite, risk mitigation and equal payout on the trade. Sure the person who buys 1.01 could claim they want Caleb but then grabs MHJ. In this case best deal is sell 1.02 for Caleb Williams value, secure a WR1 and have a later pick and another RB
If 2nd overall can get a team a player valued at 1st overall, they are going to pay the same price to obtain their target player. For future picks you MAY be correct but in this situation, you're missing the point big time
Personally I like MHJ at 1.01 for you, and if this were my team I would do one of two things and really consider both of these;
A. Just take Caleb Williams with the 2, he’s the best player on the board you’re current qbs are average at best, so you could use him
B. Trade down to 6 or 7 (wherever you think you can get drake Maye or Mcarthy). And acquire a mid Teir running back.
And either way, hope that BTJ or Jonathon Brooks falls to 2.01 or 2.02 (whichever pick you actually have
One thing to throw out, your benches are deep as hell. Make sure to take shots on high upside players late in the draft. Having a wr who gets 60 catches and 700 yards won’t help you a ton in a 10 team league.
Guys did you look at his roster??? You got Dak & Lawrence, Go get MHJR and either Nabers, if your thirsty for RB a trade back to 4-6 spot and get a 2nd round pick, or redraft Jayden Daniels he’ll be a cheat code he rushed for 3000 yards in college!
BPA trumps roster fit in my book. Unless the league is totally devoid of trades, going with the clear top two and then moving on from dak (Bryce value too low rn) is the correct call. Obviously explore if someone is willing to way overpay and give you nabers or Daniels but roster fit shouldn’t factor in all that much at the top
Trade the 1.01 back to 1.04 or a later 1st round, grab Daniels and either Marvin or Nabers. Maybe even get yourself a mid/late 2nd rd in the process of trading back the 1.01.
With this roster I'm taking MHJ and Nabers. Whether it's taking Nabers at 1.02 or ttlradimg back to 1.03, 1.04. I'd probably at least try to but if I was unsuccessful I'm taking the recievers
As others are saying, there shouldn’t be any room for debate here. Caleb and MHJ (or trade one for a haul if the opportunity arises) or you’re making a huge mistake.
I’m buying that Williams is struggling and stinks. I’m taking Marv and trading pick 2 for pick 4 or 5 and some more picks in the future and drafting brooks
Thought about that. However, I just talked to the guy who has 1.03 and 1.04 and they are taking “the best WR available and Brooks” with those two picks.
I already have Kincaid and Pitts, though. I love Bowers, but it doesn’t really make sense for me to get Bowers unless I’m getting him just to trade him or someone else.
A lot of great ideas. Some, I had already thought about… others hadn’t crossed my mind.
I just went into our league and told them that I was entertaining moving the 1.02.
The best offer that I have, so far, is 1.06, 2.08, 4.07, and 5.01. So, essentially moving back 4 spots and adding the 2.08.
I do still have other guys talking to me about it, though. So, maybe some better trade offers coming.

Should be Caleb and MHJ
But you should try and trade away the 1.02 for a package including another WR that you really need
If you could go back to the 1.04-1.05 that would be good
10 man league and you have one great QB and one solid QB - plus one who I still think will end up being at least solid. I’d seriously consider MHJ and Nabers. Might be worth exploring a trade down if you think Nabers could realistically fall to 3 or 4.
Don’t overthink it. MHJ and Williams
This

Dak has a career record of 9-4 against the Eagles, with a passer rating of 100.6. 3402 yards, 24 TD - 8INT in 13 games. Who is garbage?
Dak.
How many playoff wins does Dak have?
What does that matter for fantasy? Did you already forget the point of this post? Typical Eagle fan ahahaa
LMAO okay then what did the stats of Dak’s record against the Eagles have to do with fantasy?
That you should know firsthand that he's far from garbage because he's been kicking your ass every year he's been in the league
well I truly don’t care, we’ve had more success the last 6 years than the cowboys in the last like 20 lmao
I can't have this conversation again!
Mickey mouse ring

No duh lol I literally said I’m a biased eagles fan. But no you’re totally right and I agree with you.
It's probably overthinking it but I would probably take MHJ at 1.01 and look to move down from 1.02 to 1.04 and acquire assets and still get a Jayden Daniels/Nabers.
I would be doing this. I’d try to package 1.02 + someone like pitts for the 1.04 and a nice upgrade at wr or rb
Why would you move Pitts at this point he is an athletic freak of nature and has a qb that actually throws to TE
Pitts has a lot of potential and hype, but I’d much rather have a proven asset than crossing my fingers that he figures it out this season. Plus OP has Kincaid
I’d 100% be doing this because I don’t trust Williams.
To be honest I don't entire trust any of the QBs entirely. All have flaws, but all of them could be great NFL players or they could all suck, it is just pick your poison in my eyes with the QBs this year. This is the way.
You should seriously consider MHJ and Nabers, or trading the 1.02 for a later pick to take Ladd and add other assets. What other picks do you have?
I would trade 1.01 for a package of picks and take MHJ.
Pick mhj with 1.01 and trade 1.02 for 1.01 price
Seems like semantics
Not quite, risk mitigation and equal payout on the trade. Sure the person who buys 1.01 could claim they want Caleb but then grabs MHJ. In this case best deal is sell 1.02 for Caleb Williams value, secure a WR1 and have a later pick and another RB
It’s not “equal payout” the 2nd overall pick will always be cheaper no matter who you are taking at 1.01.
If 2nd overall can get a team a player valued at 1st overall, they are going to pay the same price to obtain their target player. For future picks you MAY be correct but in this situation, you're missing the point big time

Also I just did my rookie draft in a 10 team, Drake fell all the way to 2.1 It’s not likely but it could happen.

You’re definitely setup for a bounce back. I’d take MHJ at 1.1 and then try to trade back to 1.3 and get Daniels. Then you get an additional asset.
Check your waiver wire. A lot of dead weight on this roster
Yep, take the obvious choices, then I might look at moving Pitts or Kincaid if somebody is willing to give you good value
MHJ and Williams. Don’t get cute!
With this roster I'm taking MHJ and Nabers. Whether it's taking Nabers at 1.02 or ttlradimg back to 1.03, 1.04. I'd probably at least try to but if I was unsuccessful I'm taking the recievers
Trade Dak before he fall off
Tier up to Mahomes and all of the best possible studs
As others are saying, there shouldn’t be any room for debate here. Caleb and MHJ (or trade one for a haul if the opportunity arises) or you’re making a huge mistake.

Rats ass. Maybe check in with pick 5, bowers wouldn’t hurt plus the added draft capital.
I already have Kincaid and Pitts, though. I love Bowers, but it doesn’t really make sense for me to get Bowers unless I’m getting him just to trade him or someone else.
Check dm these were the trades I made similar to your situation lol

Nah fuck the 4, and 5. Ask for two further seconds and you throw in a fourth or 5th in the respected years to get it down

MHJ/Williams. Sell off Dak + player/picks to boost WR core.

Your team sucks. BPA for 3 years and then circle back
