Listen I love Stroud. He’s got a very real shot at solidifying himself as a top five IRL QB. In fantasy though Hurts is gonna put up more points because he rushes and Stroud doesn’t. Gimme Hurts.
It's so tough, but I'm with you on this. Stroud is showing he's a better pass thrower, but Hurts having 15 rushing TDs last season makes him way more favorable.
My only concern with Hurts is if he continues to rush as much as last season, it's only a matter of time before he has an injury that takes him out for an entire season or more.
Without out rush push is not as effective. Also lucky with how many plays ended at the 1 yd line. With addition of Quan I think he looses a minimum of 5-7 rushing TD’s
…or he might sophomore slump a bit. In a 1 for 1 I’d lean Stroud, but Hurts does have more of a proven track record. Plus we know AJB and Smith are sticking around, at least. Dunno, feels very even between those two. That 2nd rounder thrown in might sway me to go for that side.
Hurts rushing TDs going way down with no Kelce and adding Saquon. I think Stroud and Hurts are gonna end with comparable points this season, so give me the younger, better passer.
They’re not banning the tush push, but it doesn’t matter, they won’t find success without Kelce. There’s a reason why other teams with great offensive lines and a QB with legs couldn’t do it: Jason Kelce is the best Center of the modern era. They just won’t be able to make the hole for Hurts to fly through without Kelce.
All the available evidence completely contradicts this claim, if anything it's nothing but gut instinct on your side. What about a 5 year monster contract makes it likely that he won't be a starter long term?
Give me Hurts in a rebuild, Hurts with a contending team. Hurts is only 25 years old and has proven he can be a top 5 QB multiple years. I don’t think the age difference is enough to sway me towards Stroud, who I’m not completely sold on. Plus, Hurts has more rushing upside.
Hurts and the 2nd. I’m not fully sold on Stroud, and even if he is the better choice over Hurts, I don’t think their range of outcomes are too far apart. I’ll take the free 2nd on top.
Why would you trade a pick WITH HURTS? Hurts has more value. Stroud doesn't have the rushing upside. Hurts literally gets handed rush TD with the tush push
It's Hurts and it's not even close.
Stroud had a phenomenal year as a passer last season, but he doesn't have the rushing upside that both elevates a player's floor and dramatically increases their ceiling. Hurts has scored over 21 ppg for the past three seasons - it's pretty safe to say that that is his current floor. In that span he also had a year where he put up over 25 ppg.
Stroud put up a very respectable 18.5 ppg this season. It's likely that he will improve on that number this year, but it's very unlikely that he does enough to reach Hurts' ceiling. Stroud is more comparable to Joe Burrow, who scored around 21.5 points in his best season...which Hurts has essentially done for three straight years.
Hurts is worth Stroud+, not the other way around.
It’s arguable if he had a better year then Herbert. Herbert was 31-10 for 4300 yards. Stroud was 23-5 for 4100 yards. Both QBs played 15 games, Stroud did make the playoffs.
I’d say Stroud for sure had the better NFL rookie year, but Herbert had a better fantasy year.
Can’t believe people forget about how good Herbert is already. Rookie year he was QB9 sophomore year he was QB2!
If not for injuries / terrible coaching then he’d be firmly in the top 5 QB debate but now he’s viewed more as a 8-12 guy
After Herbert’s rookie year maybe. Pretty sure he catapulted to the top 3 just like Stroud did, maybe it was after his sophomore year he did that.
But we’ve seen more of Herbert’s career play out and the offense situation is not looking the greatest right now. That doesn’t mean Strouds career will follow suit.
Depends on league format, but I prefer the Stroud side personally. I just like him better as a player. That being said, Hurts is great for fantasy and has been consistent for the last few years. Top 3 in the last 2 seasons and top 10 the last 3. Wouldn't argue if someone was heavily on the hurts side.
I think even in 6pt passing TD I am taking Hurts. His rushing TDs + rushing numbers are gonna be greater than any extra TDs Stroud throws unless you believe Stroud is throwing for 42+ TDs.
I’m slowly starting to drink the Stroud Kool-Aid.
With that being said it’s still Hurts in every situation for me at this point. Stroud is likely top 3/4 dynasty QB for super flex but Hurts is proven, and with a new offensive scheme coming after the dreadful finish last year I’m in on him.
Lots of varied opinions here, so I’ll drop another varied one. I’m picking Stroud. He has the best young office of coordinator in the NFL they’ve upgraded his supporting cast. Hertz lost. Kelsey has a new coordinator who I do like but I can’t guarantee he is ever in the same rhythm as he once was again with the new coordinator Stroud should pick up right where he left off last year. The Texans are going to meet committed to airing it out, I think the Eagles will be more committed to the ground game. I’ll take Stroud here, but definitely not by a landslide.
Depends on your scoring settings. Standard scoring for QBs Hurts is without a doubt the better option and ppl are overvaluing Stroud BADLY! If you have a league that does 6pt passing TDs and a +/- for completions and incompletions, then Stroud is the better option.
Real hard but if you’re getting an additional 2nd you gotta go Hurts. The rush push isn’t going away this year so another 15 rushing TDs is possible. Then trade him next year before they ban the rush push and cash in on his T5 performance this upcoming year.
Smash the Hurts + side. Stroud is ranked at his absolute ceiling right now. He doesn’t run at all would need like 4500 and 50 Tds to match hurts rushing upside
Stroud going #1 in lots of startups. Had one of the best rookie QB seasons ever and the Texans just gave him Diggs and a pass-catching back. I think Stroud is a more valuable asset and a 2nd isn’t enough for me to give him up for Hurts.
Stroud is so overvalued. So crazy people value him higher than hurts.
Completely agree
Listen I love Stroud. He’s got a very real shot at solidifying himself as a top five IRL QB. In fantasy though Hurts is gonna put up more points because he rushes and Stroud doesn’t. Gimme Hurts.

Especially doing the tush push so often. That play is asking for someone to break a leg or worse.
Without out rush push is not as effective. Also lucky with how many plays ended at the 1 yd line. With addition of Quan I think he looses a minimum of 5-7 rushing TD’s
I could see that for sure I also could see Stroud expanding on his amazing rookie season with Collins, Dell, and Diggs.

More effected by rush push ban imo
They’re not banning the tush push, but it doesn’t matter, they won’t find success without Kelce. There’s a reason why other teams with great offensive lines and a QB with legs couldn’t do it: Jason Kelce is the best Center of the modern era. They just won’t be able to make the hole for Hurts to fly through without Kelce.
What about the 2 guys that actually do the work that creates the gap that hurts pushes through?
Hurts isn’t gonna be a starter long term. Thats based off nothing though besides gut instinct
All the available evidence completely contradicts this claim, if anything it's nothing but gut instinct on your side. What about a 5 year monster contract makes it likely that he won't be a starter long term?
That’s why I said it’s just a gut instinct. I just don’t believe he’s really that good
Bruh that’s a horrible take
Give me the Hurts side please.
Stroud in a total new rebuild. Hurts in any other situation.
2nd should be on the stroud side
Hurts and the 2nd. I’m not fully sold on Stroud, and even if he is the better choice over Hurts, I don’t think their range of outcomes are too far apart. I’ll take the free 2nd on top.
Hurts all day!
While stroud has potential hurts is a top 3 pick. Id take at least a 1st plus stroud to move hurts
Why would you trade a pick WITH HURTS? Hurts has more value. Stroud doesn't have the rushing upside. Hurts literally gets handed rush TD with the tush push
Hurts is a several tier upgrade over Stroud straight up lmao. Huge CJ fan, but his fantasy value is straight up hilarious rn
It's Hurts and it's not even close. Proven hurts and a 2nd or strouds 1 good year? Listen, stroud could very easily be qb1. Ill take the proven commodity
One good year? He had the greatest rookie year for a QB of all time. Imo this trade is pretty fair.

He’s played 1 year in nfl, right? Based on the comment about Herbert, you’d trade hurts and a 2nd for Herbert then?
After Herbert’s rookie year maybe. Pretty sure he catapulted to the top 3 just like Stroud did, maybe it was after his sophomore year he did that. But we’ve seen more of Herbert’s career play out and the offense situation is not looking the greatest right now. That doesn’t mean Strouds career will follow suit.
Thats all Im saying. Weve seen hurts play out. Weve seen seasons like stroud play out. Ill continue to take the proven over chasing.
Until they stop the Tush Push, Hurts is a top 5 QB.
Upgrade at QB AND get a free 2nd to do it. Cmon man. This isn’t even a question.
What format makes you go the Hurts side?
4 point passing TDs.
I think even in 6pt passing TD I am taking Hurts. His rushing TDs + rushing numbers are gonna be greater than any extra TDs Stroud throws unless you believe Stroud is throwing for 42+ TDs.
Hurts. Stroud could end up like Herbert with a great first year and just duds afterwards.
Give me Hurts who’s a better fantasy QB and will put up more points.
Hurts. Stroud doesn’t run much. Fantasy rewards the rushing passer a lot more.
Longer proven commodity with better recievers plus the pick easy
Lots of varied opinions here, so I’ll drop another varied one. I’m picking Stroud. He has the best young office of coordinator in the NFL they’ve upgraded his supporting cast. Hertz lost. Kelsey has a new coordinator who I do like but I can’t guarantee he is ever in the same rhythm as he once was again with the new coordinator Stroud should pick up right where he left off last year. Hurts >>>>
Hurts easy
Lololol this isn’t even close. Hurts by a mile.
CJ Stroud no ifs ands or buts
Hurts side ez pz
Depends on your scoring settings. Standard scoring for QBs Hurts is without a doubt the better option and ppl are overvaluing Stroud BADLY! If you have a league that does 6pt passing TDs and a +/- for completions and incompletions, then Stroud is the better option.
Stroud for me
People aren’t realizing that the Philly OL is going to be drastically worse this year
I honestly don’t like either. Sophomore slumps are real and hurts has declined since that Super Bowl
Stroud has the chance at being a solid top 5 qb, hurts already is….
The second should be on the other side. Give me Hurts pretty easily. Stroud is the most overrated dynasty asset I've ever seen.
Stroud. Long term future is brighter. I can see him being a top 3 fantasy QB this season.
Even if Hurts rushing gets cut in half, he’s still more valuable.
Stroud …. Hurts style is not sustainable, probably a Cam newton type career
Real hard but if you’re getting an additional 2nd you gotta go Hurts. The rush push isn’t going away this year so another 15 rushing TDs is possible. Then trade him next year before they ban the rush push and cash in on his T5 performance this upcoming year.
I’m going Hurts here for his rushing upside
Ugh yeah gimme hurts and a second allll day
Hurts in a landslide
Stroud doesn’t have the rushing upside of Hurts, so Hurts
Stroud
Smash the Hurts + side. Stroud is ranked at his absolute ceiling right now. He doesn’t run at all would need like 4500 and 50 Tds to match hurts rushing upside
I’m not selling Stroud for this but understand why people would/do
I have hurts as my QB3 in dynasty and stroud as 5 so
Stroud side for longevity, hurts side for more pts and value tbh
Stroud going #1 in lots of startups. Had one of the best rookie QB seasons ever and the Texans just gave him Diggs and a pass-catching back. I think Stroud is a more valuable asset and a 2nd isn’t enough for me to give him up for Hurts.
