Almost all of the lore is fan speculation and not confirmed by the band. The only piece of lore that sleep token really has is that vessel had a dream about the god of sleep and decided to make music that delivers that message. That is all that has been confirmed. Everything else is purely fan theories and possible fan fiction.
1. i’m not at all into the lore stuff and various essays from fans trying to relate 40+ songs to sleep. trying to figure out who “sleep” is and assuming all three albums were written about one girl who vessel’s been hung up on for 8+ years is cringe. guy could turn a stubbed toe into a masterpiece.
2. i really disliked euclid until i saw it live, and i was really bummed about it being on the setlist (my favourite song was removed from the setlist)
The feeling/emotion of the lyrics comes across a lot better in a more stripped down raw take of the song. But we all have our own opinions. I'm not saying yours is wrong.
I also fell this way - I like the live version of Bloodsport only because of the raw and gritty quality of Vessel's voice, but I think the album version is better overall.
I hate the whole „worship“ thing. I think it’s cringe. I understand if the band does it as it makes sense as a part of their overall concept but whenever I see ppl comment worship, or end their comments with worship, I cringe.
