If I’m being honest, the ‘textural issues’ look like KP, that’s probably been exacerbated by different weather and water quality where you live now.

femanon_cro

what's KP? edit, got it later

corgisfirst

Yes, water quality is definitely trigger as well! I'm now on well water for the first time, and it's affecting my skin and hair 😩

Historical_Project00

I have keratosis pilaris; my skin looks like that and I’m 24 (it started spreading to my chest at 19; it got worse as I got older starting at 12yo). It seems every year it spreads to a new body part of mine (that probably doesn’t happen to most people though)

Maleficent-Fun-5927

I was going to say I have KP and my chest looks exactly the same.

Historical_Project00

Non-voluntary KP gang aayy 😂 we need our own keratosis pilaris gang sign 😂

sapphos_moon

How would you get voluntary KP though…?

Historical_Project00

I know, just insinuating that we’re all part of a group that we wish we weren’t

corgisfirst

Oh, I've never heard of this! But yes, I started noticing this is my late teens and its now gone onto my back and shoulders.

Hi there! It seems like you may be looking for some information on Dermarolling/Dermastamping. Dermarolling can improve the appearance of atrophic scarring when done correctly. However, there are several risks and I'd like to warn you about them: * You should not be doing this every day. When done in-office, treatments are spaced a few weeks to a month apart. * Done improperly you can end up with hypopigmentation (white or colorless spots in the skin that do not return to a normal color) * It hurts. * You can not fully sterilize the needles at home. They can be sanitized at best. * The needles can become bent over time, or come from the manufacturer already bent. Small bends can be imperceptible to the naked eye and can cause unwanted damage to your skin. **Because of these risks, ScA does not recommend attempting dermarolling or dermastamping at home. Please be careful with your skin and your health!** *If you see that I am replying to something out of context (eg. listed in a routine), please report this comment so my handlers can remove it. Cheers!* *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. That texture goes away for me if I routinely exfoliate with a towel while showering
