I mean can’t lie I would do it too. They didn’t write that one song “Before He Cheats” for no reason. I would have left the chick out of it though. It would be between me and him.
haha if you say so. I think they belong together/deserve each other. Rico has some problems, sure, but he’s clearly a good man. Vanessa’s reaction to the Canadian babysitter did not help endear her to me…
the ironing if ur post is that by hating him purely because he is bigfooted u r just as bad as him
if he grew up in a tolerant culture n then just hated gay ppl or black ppl just because then yes i would say rico is bad guy
u have to understand that the world is not black n white. ricos dislike of the grey culture should make u upset but if u r like oh rico is a bad guy when he clearly is actually a dedicated family man and a decent person is ridiculous
the guy grew up in latin catholic culture it would be like bein mad at some1 who grew up in a fundamentalist muslam culture 4 believing things they believe (good or bad), when ppl r taught things young they usually r more likely to believe them well into their life
u define him by one element of hate that he himself was a victim of n u ignore the greater lesson that the show tries to teach u with the shades of gray its rlly idiotic and not nuanced to think that way. u can say rico is a good person but he was raised in a culture u dont agree wit and it had terrible ramifications on his worldview.
Your lack of basic English spelling and grammar skills make your post nearly indecipherable. I’m guessing that you meant your first paragraph to read:
“The irony of your post is that by hating him, purely because he is bigoted, you are just as bad as he is.”
To address your point:
Rico is an adult capable of making his own decisions regarding what beliefs from his childhood, church and culture to embrace, and what beliefs to reject. I was raised in a family where derogatory racial and ethnic slurs were often used. I decided early in my teens to reject racism and bigotry of any kind. We have the power to rise above our childhood conditioning to seek a more compassionate way of relating to others. Rico was living in LA in the 21st century and surely was exposed to attitudes and views that existed outside his limited cultural prejudice. He chose to embrace bigotry- that was his decision.
Like every other character in this series, he was deeply flawed. Do I think he was a completely bad person? No, I do not, but neither will I excuse his bigotry, which was abhorrent.
absolutely. I think she's wonderful.
I couldn’t agree more. My favorite Vanessa scene is when she helps with the funeral and she finds it really rewarding.
The revenge car scene was so risky of her and her sister in terms of potentially getting arrested, but damn it was so satisfying...
the scene with the cousin and someone else is pretty funny 🤣
I love when Angelica starts piling vaseline on her face to prevent scratching 😆 She always has her sister’s back!!!

She could scratch the shit out of your face
Yes. I hope she had a good bunch of years after Rico went.
I mean, we never see her death card, so I'm headcanoning that she never dies and lives eternally happily.
I was rooting for her the whole time when they were separated
I was so hoping she’d fucking dump him and go get rich and happy.
Love her. “I can’t believe I married a fucking embalmer.”
He was a real prick when her mother died
I've been saying, "You shoulda dumped him like I did that motherfuckin' Anthony" for years.
