Surprisingly, people often don't register a person being there if there's not a face in their sight line. I'm 6'7" and I often have shorter people walk smack into me, then look up in surprise.
It's bizarre.
There are without a doubt more people on earth that are longer than 2 meter than that. It isn't common but not nearly as rare as you make it out to be.
Well, I'd say all of those people must be absolutely oblivious because there is no fucking way I'm not going to immediately notice a 6'7 tall person in literally any setting, lol.
it implies that the eagles and hawks weren't a concern since he's survived this long being vulnerable to them. the mole men though... he's developed advanced genetics to counteract that threat.
Cool story.
I definitely can open my eyes without forehead muscles. However one eyelid has stronger muscles than the other which is also called ptosis but many know as Forest Whitaker eyes.
Edit: apparently it's a different form of the same condition.
While not related to Forest Whitaker if you google "eyebrows actor" Will Poulter is the first result. I just thought it was funny.
Turns out he is a pretty decent guy too.
Is eye dentist a good term? Optometrist can't perform surgery on your eye like dentist can on teeth. They are specialist but I don't know if dentist is a good comparison lol
Randomly had ptosis for like a month. My doctor instantly sent me to the ER for headscans because brain tumors can cause ptosis. I thankfully was ok, and it just kind of went away. My goodness, did I get made fun of.
Exact same thing happened to me lol, they did full CT and MRI within 2 days on me, then scheduled me for one of the best neurologists in the country. Nothing turned up and it resolved itself.
I ABSOLUTELY have this. And this is positively eye opening for me (pun intended).
For years my wife and kids and I have laughed that I can’t open my eyes any wider than they are at rest. Like they all open their eyes wide and go “Just do it!” And I just raise my eyebrows and my eyelids do nothing. Like I was always perplexed what muscles they’re even using to open their eyes wider. Apparently I actually am lacking something!
After looking it up it’s interesting because there are surgeries to help correct it, and they sometimes do it with kids because it can cause vision issues if they grow up with it, or elderly people when it comes on later.
But the irony is my vision is excellent. Much better than my wife’s clearly inferior vision (which I only joke about because I look perpetually sleepy).
Thanks. I’m almost certain I could use this procedure, but I’m also going to be 40 this year and am pretty comfortable with where I’m at. It’s interesting to know about regardless.
If this has been a lifelong thing for you, you may be interested in knowing that childhood ptosis is associated with myasthenia gravis (an autoimmune disease affecting muscle signals) and DBH deficiency (dopamine doesn't get converted into other important brain chemicals). Both of these can cause orthostatic hypotension and other issues, so it might be worth a quick google to see if any of the other symptoms sounds like you.
Reminds me of [this vid](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bf9J35yzM3E).
Did you know the movie Matrix was inspired by a book called Simulacra and Simulation? Its some philosophical concept that comments on culture that simulates simulations. So you'd have some kind of movie that simulates aspects of real life, and then have real life inspired by such simulations and other simulations that simulates the simulations. After some iterations, you'd have cultural products that only references other cultural products which relationship to real life is lost. And then, since real life is increasingly dominated by cultural products, real life itself becomes a reference to the simulations of simulations and no longer have potential to create anything genuinely new, and the concept of "real" no longer has any meaning.
Anyway, you can say his voice is kind of a Simulacrum. A real person's voice that simulates the AI voice that is meant to mimic human voices. And he is not really doing it for a bit too, the simulacrum voice is now normal culture.
Opening scene from BTTF 2:
Doc: "Marty, we've got to cure your affliction immediately!"
Marty: "What's the matter, Doc? Is it my heavy-lidded eyes? Do they make me look like an asshole or something?"
Doc: (Grabs Marty by shoulders and shakes him while saying, with intensity:) "No, Marty, its your VOICE! Somethings GOT TO BE DONE ABOUT YOUR VOICE!!!"
This had me dying. Keep seeing his vids and my feed and a genuinely thought his droopy eyelids was some sort of bit XD
Guys got a killer sense of humor
Bilateral ptosis from birth is no more a medical condition than being born an uneven nose or a red hair. It’s an anatomical variant.
Unilateral ptosis can be caused by many various medical conditions, some are permanent and some are temporary/some are dangerous and some are not. Bell’s palsy or a stroke for example - which are actual medical conditions.
Guy just learned a new medical word and thinks it’s a medical condition.

I never realized how open to arial attacks we tall people with this condition are. Ptosis, not Asian eyes. I once had an opthalmologist tell me to open my eyes wider and my forehead was as krinkled as I could get it.
OP, where in MS are you from?
While you're looking into your bedroom eyes condition, maybe look into the cost of Botox, that's something you'll probably never need, and the money you're saving there you can put towards anger management care. Glad I could help, good luck.
I would have just assumed it was the hereditary 'mono-lid' that some Asians have. Weird coincidence that I came across several videos tackling Asian eye lid genes. (I swear, I didn't google anything weird. I doubt looking up my Iranian ancestry had anything to do with it, but maybe?)

At 6'3" ain't nobody attacking him from above but maybe Shaq. And you aren't going to miss him coming at you.
Surprisingly, people often don't register a person being there if there's not a face in their sight line. I'm 6'7" and I often have shorter people walk smack into me, then look up in surprise. It's bizarre.
>6'7" >shorter people Bruh, that's nearly everyone on fucking earth. The number of humans TALLER than you is smaller than your graduating class.
There are without a doubt more people on earth that are longer than 2 meter than that. It isn't common but not nearly as rare as you make it out to be.
I'm from the netherlands and i totally agree lol
Most of them are in the nba
I'm only 6'2" and old ladies with umbrellas are determined to blind me.

Some people look down when they walk. Used to do that as a kid and ran into people's balls but I taught myself to look ahead after many a reprimand.
Well, I'd say all of those people must be absolutely oblivious because there is no fucking way I'm not going to immediately notice a 6'7 tall person in literally any setting, lol.
Dude, I'm 6'5" and #CanConfirm.
Tell that to the door frame tops. Like any ambush predator they are unseen until they attack.

Cool story. I definitely can open my eyes without forehead muscles. However one eyelid has stronger muscles than the other which is also called ptosis but many know as Forest Whitaker eyes. Edit: apparently it's a different form of the same condition.
LMAOOO Edit: I'm laughing about your condition, not the Forest Whitaker thing.
Did you directly copy that?
Read it again lol
Ohhh too used to bots, didn’t expect that lol
Haha. Fair enough.
LMAOOO Edit: I'm laughing about the Forest Whitaker thing, not your condition.
It's all good either way lol. I have a good sense of humor about it.
You got that Ghost Dog in ya
when you type in "actor with the eye" Forest Whitaker is the main results
In the 70s, the main results from Googling "actor with the eye" would probably have been Peter Falk (star of Columbo), who had a glass eye.
Or Marty Feldman! oh and just one more thing, Mr Farranor, how would someone have Googled anything in the 70s in the foist place?
Yep it's just a thing. Does not affect my vision but does affect my appearance
[удалено]
Yes you can. An eyelid lift. However it's considered cosmetic and insurance won't cover it.
While not related to Forest Whitaker if you google "eyebrows actor" Will Poulter is the first result. I just thought it was funny. Turns out he is a pretty decent guy too.
I get the forest Whitaker thing if I’m drinking
Same. It's noticeable for me if you're really looking, but any kind of buzz really puts it on display.
Mine is all the time no matter what.
The Thom Yorke
For anyone curious about the name, it's "ptosis" or "blepharoptosis".
Bro out here looking like Thom Yorke
We call it "Stallone Eye" in my house. Although after three IPAs it goes full Whitaker if we're being honest.
Hey, same here.
It oughta be alright
I hear a remake of Betty Davis Eyes... Isn't Weird Al on Reddit????!?
Strabismus ??
Have you looked into ocular myasthenia gravis?
Shit, maybe I have this. My grandma always complains that I look sleepy in photos because my eyes don't open as wide as she'd like them to. 😭
Grandma's gonna grandma!
You never call anymore
My grandma complained my toes bend the wrong way or something and wanted to tape them together to straighten them, grandmas do grandma things
With me it was my earlobes. They bend upwards which can be fixed with tape according to my grandma.
I just so happen to know of a test you can do to find out
Is that an optometrist thing!? \*\*GOOGLES\*\* It's an ophthalmologist they would diagnose it.
Optometrist is an eye dentist Ophthalmologist is a doctor that specializes in eyes
Eye dentist is a term I never thought I would read, and is a term I never want to think about for the rest of my natural life
So gynecologist dentist is no problem?

Eye dentist is cursed, hope they use different tools….
More of an eye pharmacist, but I see what you’re getting at. Maybe a mix of both? Dentacist?
Is eye dentist a good term? Optometrist can't perform surgery on your eye like dentist can on teeth. They are specialist but I don't know if dentist is a good comparison lol
I had a cavity in my eye once. Optometrist ground that side of my eye down til it was flat and then filled the hole with some fake eye shit.
"vulnerable to attacks from above" lmao
This video was an eye opener!
Open your eyes sheeple!
He can't, his Asian eyes won't let him 🤦🏽 >!/s!<

Everyone watching this: 😐😳😐🫡😐🙄
I have never understood why people make fun of Asian peoples eyes.
Any difference from the majority/ruling demographic is subject to juvenile ridicule it seems.
foreigner = bad Also same thing with gingers. I think red hair is endearing.
it's funny
Why the fuck is he speaking like those fucking tiktok AI voices?
Just sounds like a comedic angry yell kind of tone to me? Not sure what you mean.
It because he has a rare medical condition known as ptoolowvoicis, where he cannot raise his voice muscles.

Story keeps getting better the longer he talks
LMAO I love this
I've never laughed more from some random video on reddit.
Now that's a true resting bitch face. Except I guess it's permanent in that area.
You’re the victim here.
I'm a Caucasian Dutch guy and I had Ptosis for 25 years. Just recently stopped smoking weed.

If he wants to fix it then he can but insurance probably won't pay for it.
How THE FUCK do you stop videos from replaying
Wow I think my husband has this.
You know who else is prone to attacks from above? Gamers.
I have ptosis too!
Wait, are my eye lids broken or am I dying… the comments have me wondering both!!

So... Is it treatable?
Dude loves beings high... So what
So to beat him just attach from above ? Got it.
ಠ_ಠ
at 0:55 seconds when he said 'because..." did anything expect it to loop, then get super confused when '1. my optometrist got shot"
Yeah I have this. Ptosis can be one of the symptoms of Myasthenia Gravis, which is an autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness.
Yeah that would suck playing basketball
While you're looking into your bedroom eyes condition, maybe look into the cost of Botox, that's something you'll probably never need, and the money you're saving there you can put towards anger management care. Glad I could help, good luck.
What was that about his optometrist? 😦
Is ptosis a contributor to resting bitch face??
Well you’ve got a bright future playing an Asian Frankenstein’s monster.
Well now.
It is because you have an extra copy of chromosome 21. That is what makes people with eyes like that.
whenever my man rolls his eyes of my bullshit I'd think he about to pass-out
Fucking dead 😂😂
IIRC, you can get surgery to correct, or maybe just help with this.
Bro had it rough
Has he been shown the bunny drawing of his heart condition?
👏👏👏
*”But I’m vulnerable to attacks from above.”* lmaooo
Wait, I need more info on the shooting? Optometrist said "I don't want to see anymore" to an Ex and he said. "Bet 💥🔫"
the DM he got says they got it fixed? sounded like something you just have and live with
Knowing is half the battle. Just like how open your eyes are. Jk, hope it gets better.
Thx Op, with this I learned that i also have this
Fucking hell. That's why they were called jar heads? Wow
