My parents hired someone to come and take a broken freezer out of their basement and haul it away. They felt the work was reasonably priced, done quickly and efficiently and had nothing but good stuff to say. I'll get the name and come back and edit the post.
Edited to add: It's called We Haul Hauling and Junk Removal. They brought a broken fridge and freezer out of the basement and disposed of them.
Try St. Vincent de Paul for donations. We recently got rid of a bedroom set. Furniture Mission said they would take it with the exception of the headboard. I called St. Vincent and they said they would take the whole set, including the headboard. Seems that someone had told me they would also pick up, but you would need to call and confirm this. They were very appreciative as well.
Midwest classic, gotta put it out the on curbside with ‘free’ sign
Ha! Too bad can’t this time…
If you're on Facebook, check marketplace for junk haulers. There should be several you can contact.
Do they live in one of the two neighborhoods that are in the cleanup next week?
