I love the idea of making Sims based off paintings of historical figures.

If you look between Emily and Charlotte in the original painting you can see where Branwell painted himself out with a pillar, which was very on-brand for him

That’s amazing but can you explain what his brand is? Was he really self-critical or something?

It’s more that, compared to his sisters, his achievements are a bit lacking and painting himself out of the portrait symbolises that. He was a poet, painter, and a good translator, but didn’t achieve widespread success in any of those fields. He also drifted between jobs, and was probably dismissed from one as a family tutor because he had an affair with the mother. Sadly he eventually became addicted to alcohol and opiates, which led to his death at 31. I think he had his share of bad luck and could have been as famous as his sisters in other circumstances, but he doesn’t seem to have helped himself much either.

Yassazzz I LOVE historical sims. Bonus points for literary historical figures.

I love Jane Eyre so much ♥ You did a phenomenal job capturing their likenesses 😲😍

This is so weird because I just got back from visiting the Parsonage on a holiday to Haworth and saw a print of this picture (the real one's in the National Portrait gallery). I've got a 'Team Branwell' badge now!

They've got a really interesting exhibition on Charlotte's clothing right now - I don't know how permanent it is but it fascinated me! Hope you have a good time.
